Love love love Philly Pack! I live close by and even though there’s a Petco Unleashed store a block away, I will always be loyal to Philly Pack. They carry high quality pet products and my cat loves their local wet food. The owners are great and I even had Krista do some training at my house. She was great and helped my boyfriend and I tremendously on our quest to familiarize his dog with my cat. It hasn’t been easy but it wouldn’t have been possible without her. I know they just opened a training center and I imagine it’s going to be a huge success. Great people, great products, great location– thanks for everything!

Where do I begin? I love everything about this local small business. Although the pet store is small, they are always stocked with all the essential for city dog owners. Every person who works here is such a pleasure to be around! They go above and beyond in terms of being helpful. If something isn’t in stock, they will order it for you. They also sell locally made dog food that rivals all of the top brands in terms of quality. I’ll be a loyal customer for as long as they are open!

I really like recommending the Philly Pack to people as they weed through pet products and make informed decisions of what they sell. As a Veterinarian I have realized there are a multitude of pet products and all of them are not the same quality. I like mom and pop pet shops because they have the extra special loving care in what they choose to have in their shop. The services provided by Krista and Jeremy are, simply put, the best you can find. They are appropriate, not ideologically driven, split between animal and human-​centered, kind, humane and responsive to both you and your pets’ needs.
My fiancé and I adopted a wonderful beagle mix (Audrey) from another local establishment who neglected to inform us the degree of her need for rehabilitation. Krista spotted us around the neighborhood and walking to our vet’s office a few times. She even volunteered to walk down the street in front of us just to have some good role model dogs for Audrey the first time we talked.
Since then we have gone down a very long and productive road with Audrey and the Pack. Krista has engaged in training that is responsive to our desires and Audrey’s needs. We have tried:

and now we have settled with the prong collar. The reason why I stop there is because it works.
We can walk down the street and not have a dog jumping three feet in the air when a bag walks by.
We can sit and drink coffee at Ultimo and have her relax.
We can stop at a corner and have her sit and stay without trying to run.
We can spend a day walking around the city, stopping in stores, cafes and enjoying what Philadelphia has to offer with Audrey as part of our family unit.
Krista and Jeremy have provided Audrey with the tools to succeed and I cannot thank them enough. They waited until we were ready for each of the different approaches and spent the time (and we spent the money, worth more than every dime) to train us on how to appropriately use them.
The real testament is that as I type this I have my darling little beagle sitting in place next to me. She’s happy, she’s exhausted from a great day of walking and she’s not scared to head outside on her nightly walk. Thank you Krista and Jeremy — Audrey would be lost without you and so would we.

Krista and Jeremy are as good as it gets when it comes to working with dogs and their owners. We first started working with them a couple of years ago when we were having issues with our two dogs being reactive to each other and to other dogs in our neighborhood. They were able to help us to implement strategies that helped us to correct and work towards eliminating the negative behaviors our dogs were exhibiting. They have a calm, balanced approach to working with dogs, and both of our dogs came to love and respect them as a result. The Philly Pack team is also just as good at working with owners, clearly communicating their philosophical approach to working with dogs, encouraging consistency, and providing concrete strategies that owners can implement easily.

This business– the shop and the training program– are something really special. I echo many of the previous reviewers when I say that Krista, Jeremy, and their staff put their hearts, minds and plenty of physical labor into their work with their customers– feline, canine, and human! We have a lab with a lot of love-​y energy and a fair amount of nerves and separation anxiety, an they’ve helped to train us (his people) to be better leaders for him and help him remain clm and balanced with known expectations. They put the well-​being of the animals they work with first, and would never compromise that for anything– from their food recommendations, to their pack walks, their rescue efforts and their training and leadership advice. THE best. Our dog Zeke loves them and so do we.

Krista and Jeremy are extremely knowledgeable and professional. With their guidance we were able to immediately correct the negative behavior in our dogs, resulting in a calm and structured environment. Our pack now has the leadership it was lacking and I feel confident that we have the tools needed to have a mentally and physically healthy pack. I highly recommend their services, and think that any dog and owner could benefit from their training sessions.

Love these guys!!! I first met Krista and Jeremy (co-​owners of the Philly Pack) about a year ago when I adopted Gracie, my rescue greyhound. For the first two weeks, Gracie was terrified of stairs. This was problematic, since I live at the top of a three-​story walk-​up – and carrying a 70-​lb. dog up and down a winding staircase was no easy feat! On the recommendation of my neighbors, I sent a desperate email to the Philly Pack. Within an hour, Krista had personally replied; within a day, she had come to my apartment to meet Gracie and add her to the daily walk schedule.
In case their name doesn’t make it obvious, Krista and Jeremy use a «pack» approach where dogs model appropriate behavior for each other. After only a few walks with Krista and her pack (a rotating mix of other neighborhood dogs), Gracie was running up and down my stairs like a pro. She was less anxious, more confident, and HAPPY! A year later, she still looks forward to her walks with her Philly Pack pals.
But the Philly Pack is way more than just a dog training service. Krista and Jeremy run a retail shop with a carefully-​chosen selection of toys, treats, food, and other pet supplies. They welcome pet owners (and their furry friends) in the store, and they are an excellent resource for information about choosing a quality pet food or handling behavioral concerns. Plus, their prices are way cheaper than other nearby pet stores!
Above all, Krista and Jeremy are animal lovers. They have ongoing relationships with most of the pets (and owners) in the community. When I adopted Gracie, they connected me with another greyhound owner in my neighborhood for support – and our two dogs are now BFFs! It is clear that Krista and Jeremy don’t do this for the money – they just love what they do. The Philly Pack is all about helping pets and their owners have the healthiest and happiest relationship possible. They are the best!

Extremely friendly and accommodating owner Jeremy suggested Annamaet dry cat food for my 20 year old. I was seeking a replacement for Innova; which was recalled. There was a a rep from the company there who told me how his product is made and it’s benefits. So glad to find such a quality product as at such a reasonable price. Got some samples; my cat loved it! Happy to support this great establishment as well as a product produced locally.(Annamaet is made in Sellersville Pa). I stopped in here to buy my sister a gift card for her birthday and had a wonderful experience. I arrived a few minutes before opening and the owners walked up and said they would open ASAP. They allowed me in from the cold a few minutes early, which was sincerely appreciated! While they don’t have actual gift cards, they were happy to issue me one written on a business card. Although the presentation wasn’t ideal, it was thoughtful and easy. I’m thrilled to support local business and will certainly return to pick up a special treat for my own kitty in the near future.

I called Philly Pack because I was having behavioral problems with my 3 year old Boston Terrier. I chose Philly Pack because of the good online reviews of their services. Krista returned my call within a day and carefully listened to the issues we have encountered. She gave me some tips and recommendations over the phone and actually recommended that we start elsewhere with initial training for my dog. She did this because of the specific problems and the time frame required to get into Pack Training at Philly Pack. I appreciated her open attitude and her willingness to recommend another service/​business when needed.

The people here genuinely care about you and your pet, giving great recommendations and ordering requested items. One time, when their machine was broken, they let me take home a bag of food for our furry friend … with just a note that I’d come back and pay for it later. Obviously, I did, because I’m not a jerk, but just that level of trust and genuine kindness is something wonderful to see. I’ll keep coming back here no matter where I move in the city!

I appreciate the knowledge of Krista and Jeremy every time my dog doesn’t bark or jump at another dog. Penelope was an angsty, unsocialized, 3 year old Pekingese when we adopted her into our home. We soon realized she had 0 leash training and called upon Krista’s experience to teach Penelope and us how to walk properly. She quickly changed her collar explaining the advantages of collar vs harness.(I had no clue!) Then got right to work. Wow! What a difference a walk makes! But that didn’t help with her approach to other dogs. Other dog owners in my building dreaded passing us in the hall. So I called Krista again. This time to enroll my little monster into the socialization geared pack walks. Again an amazing change in attitude. I can’t thank them or recommend them enough! If you are having puppy problems that may require a phone call to Cesear, call Krista and Jeremy at Philly Pack. You will not be disappointed! Tell them I sent you!

I love this place and they love dogs! They always welcome my four legged companion inside as he explores and sniffs all the toys and treats they have to offer!
You can find a very large assortment of holistic, organic, and locally made dog food and other treats here. We always get the large (I think 40lbs) bag of Animae (sp?) Option dog food. Its the purple bag. It rings up to about $ 60, which I don’t think is that bad for a great product that my dog LOVES, is local and supports the smaller mom and pop shop. They don’t always carry the large size in stock, but if you call, they usually get it in the next day. One time they actually had one left in stock and held it for me until I came in later that day.
They carry lots of toys and bones that are healthy for your pet. Our dog loves the elk bone, which I learned also helps clean their teeth. It will last a veeerryy long time, too, because its not the kind they devour in 20 minutes. I also HIGHLY recommend getting them the egg ball. If you have a high energy dog, they will go nuts for this thing and will get tuckered out real quick. Keep in mind, they are supposedly
«indestructible,» but any Pit Bull owner knows that no toy is indestructible, however they’re cheap enough that its worth it and will probably still play with it anyway (mine does even with a giant hole in the top).
Remember them the next time you reach for the phone to call your vet about a «question» because they’ll always tell you to come in so they can take a look and blah blah, then next thing you know, you’re out like $ 50-​$ 100! They’re not doctors at Philly Pack, but they offer great advice and great supplies for almost any fix! They have tons of different grooming solutions, too. I noticed my dogs ears were reaaaallly dirty and I wanted to get something to clean them before they had a chance to get infected, and they were kind enough to help me pick out a pack of grooming wipes that cleans his ears and keeps his coat nice and shiny :)
One more thing, they are very knowledgeable about Pit Bulls! I highly recommend Philly Pack.

Krista and Jeremy run their business with the utmost integrity, and they treat their customers and employees with care and respect. They work long, hard weeks because their clients are real animals with ²⁴⁄₇ needs, and if the dog can’t take a break from being a dog, its caretakers can’t take a break from caring!
They also keep their prices intentionally low, because they truly care about your animal. They know that if it costs you too much to train your dog, you won’t be able to afford his/​her other important needs like quality food and veterinary care, and you are more likely to skimp on those things or to abandon the dog completely. That is the last thing the Philly Pack wants to see happen to an animal!
I know these two pretty well, because I have worked for them as a professional cleaner at the shop and also in their homes, which often become temporary shelters for needy dogs and cats. I highly recommend their services to anyone with a pet. They are extremely knowledgeable, hard working, and caring, and their lives revolve around pets, especially dogs. Their bookshelves are full of books about dogs, and they never stop reading. If Krista and Jeremy can’t help you with your pet problems, no one can.

Great services, and great people! We enlisted Krista and Jeremy’s expertise in recurring behavioral issues we’d been having with our almost 10 year old husky-​mix. After enlisting them to do a application of their pack leader coaching and teaching us their methods, we saw immediate results. Highly recommend both their behavioral training services and The Philly Pack store for wonderful products. We love the Molly Mutt dog bed.

Jeremy Burger and Krista Milito worked with our six-​year-​old, large-​breed Retriever /​St. Bernard mix last week to deal with a number of issues he was having. The worst being that he pulls you down the street, or should I say DID. With one session Jeremy and Krista were able to show my brother and I how to have Monty walk politely at our side just about anywhere without trying to mark every tree and pole in town along the way. They were recommended to us by my neighbor whose Pit /​Boxer mix was taking her for walks as well. Jeremy and Krista took Kona for a couple of walks while ML was on vacation and reviewed their techniques with her when she returned, voila, new dog.
