USO of Phila

Awesome USO — friendly staff, free place to sleep if your flight gets delayed or cancelled and they’ll do wake up calls. Some healthy snacks available and extra drinks from wawa. Follow the signs everywhere to the USO — looks like it goes to a dead end but there’s an elevator that goes to here and no where else — feels like an exclusive club at first, then feels like home away from home when you step in the elevator and its covered in unit zaps and you find yours in there.

Such friendly staff! Spacious with lots of food/​snack options. It wasn’t crowded so they had no issue with my mom being a guest and we were able to take some sandwiches, chips, and tea for our long flight. Definitely worth a donation to the cause! :)

Thank you for a wonderful night stay! They have four bunks each for men and women, food, lots of staff, a quiet lounge for those who don’t want to sleep in the bunks and a nice shower!

If you are eligible to visit the USO while traveling through PHL and you don’t stop to visit Jennifer and her crew you are just wrong! Get to the airport early, stay a little later or do whatever it takes to experience their guenuine hospitality! Thanks again for adding a little sunshine to my travels.

One of the best USO in the country if not in the world. Hot food and great staff. I was surprised by how many volunteers there were. Bit of a hike if you’re at E or F gates but worth it.

A great airport USO, but it loses a point for the bad location of being all the way out at the tip of the A terminal wing (the one next to B, not the international) and down an elevator. The airport signs do a good job of pointing the way however. It is worth the walk if you have the time while waiting for your flight. The staff is friendly. The latrine is clean with complementary toiletries if you need. It’s always open (whenever I visit). They have a nice selection of fresh food (not quite the Bob Hope at LAX, but still nice) and snacks. Plenty of milk from WAWA. My last visit had meatballs in tomato sauce for sandwiches, and they always have hotdogs and bags of chips (that you can take with you for a snack on your flight).

Great time. You can sleep In beds there for free! Nice! Plus tons of comfy places in Case it’s full, but rarely is. Tons of great Staff and food. I love this uso. Every time I visit, forget an airport hotel, uso is the place to stay. Love it!
If you haven’t been and you’re in philly, dude, wtf!

Holy smokes this location is awesome. It’s my first time here and I’m loving it. I’ve been to A LOT of USO airport locations and this is definitely the best I’ve seen. Everyone raves about Atlanta but this one blows it out of the water. The bunk beds have freaking memory foam toppers! And bathrooms inside of the USO?! That never happens. I’m in heaven.

This is my second time in this USO. And every time I fly out I will always stop by. The veterans that work here are extremely friendly and endearing. The kind of people that make you proud and honored of their service.
Breakfast cooked to order, pre-​made sandwiches, pastries, chips, hot dogs, cookies, coffee, juices, water, tea and a host of other items.
Great place to meet other military and/​or other uniformed soldiers/​officers while waiting for your flight. However, if you want to sit or lounge there is an area with recliners to catch a snooze.
A must when in the Philadelphia airport.

This USO is breathtaking. You can really feel the love here!
For this weary servicemember, they offered:
1. SHOWERS. With towels, flip flops and shower supplies (shampoo/​conditioner/​soap/​lotion) provided!
2. SEGREGATED BUNKROOMS. I racked out for a nap between flights on a deliciously soft, orthopedic-​quality bed and a quilt. With a wake-​up call. (Seriously, I’ve paid $ 100+/night for hotel rooms with crappier beds.)
3. HOT FOOD. When I was there, they had hot dogs (w/​the fix’ins) — PERFECT travel food.
4. FREE TOILETRIES. Genuinely free! Since I ALWAYS seem to forget something at home (this time, toothpaste), this was one of the best parts.
5. WARM WELCOME. When you’re in the middle of some stressful, trying-to-beat-«Snowmageddon» travel, a warm smile and a friendly conversation goes MILES in making everything better.
And … you’re gonna read some unbelievably hateful reviews here for this USO. Ignore them completely.
There are signs very clearly posted about who can and can’t access this facility, including policies for those who need to be escorted. This place relies on donations and is run by volunteers — and people still whine!!! WHAT?! Most airports don’t even HAVE a USO!
This place could literally hand out free money at the door to servicemembers, and those people would complain that the denominations were too large. («Nothing but $ 20s?! You call that CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!»)
Grab a free Coke and a smile, and leave the Haterade to those winners.

I was so impressed by the staff here the are so friendly and helpful it is awesome. It is tucked away from the rest off things going on at the airport but is worth stopping in if you have the time plus the have great food and snacks. What a great way to relax before a long flight. They have stuff for the whole family not just mom or dad. Thank you so much for putting the joy back in having to travel.

This is one of the best USOs I’ve ever been in. Hot breakfast sandwich made to order and a friendly and helpful staff.

Located near Gate A6a. There is an elevator behind the gate, take that to the 2^nd stop. Voila!
Support our USOs. These volunteers are wonderful and kind hearted. I appreciate what they do.
This is a smaller USO but it has all the amenities: WiFi, warm meals, quick nooks, toys for the children and Free Water and coffee.

Best USO I have been to on the east coast. They have great food and the staff is amazing. They make you feel at home the moment you walk in. They have a sleeping quarters, bathrooms, showers, computers, Xbox, reading area and theater. Plenty of places to sleep if the sleeping quarters is full.

Im here about once a week and the volunteers at the Liberty USO are beyond phenomenal! Food is always great and Im always greeted with a smile no matter what the time of day.

A great USO… food and snacks for our service members. They also have a computer area and nap room for use between flights. Probably the nicest USO I have been too. Well deserved for our service members!

Quite possibly the best USO I’ve been to.
The staff is very friendly and accomodating, the facilities are very well kept and clean, and everything, as you’d expect, is free.
I stayed here overnight for a 6 o’clock flight leaving PHL because I didn’t feel like driving at the butt-​crack of dawn on icy roads, and boy was I glad that I made the choice; during my stay, I was able to get myself fed, watch a Eagles wildcard game in their humongous home theatre area, sleep, take a shower and have ample time for a full shave in the morning, and actually feel refreshed for the early morning flight.
Other amenities that I neglected to use/​mention but are available on site include: computers, xbox 360/​wide array of dvds, children’s corner, and books. lots and lots of books.

Incredible hospitality. A nice place to enjoy some peace and quiet along with a bite to eat. They have any amenity you could possible need down to toiletries and towels.
Plenty of places to charge, sleep, and lounge. Worth the hike from anywhere in PHL. It’s after security on the far end of A terminal

Wow. Ok, admittedly I haven’t been to many USOs but this one is awesome. First off, it’s ²⁴⁄₇. I’ve never even heard of a ²⁴⁄₇ USO until now. They told me that there’s 7 or 8 of them in the whole of the US that’s ²⁴⁄₇. Second, it’s got hot food served breakfast, lunch and dinner. Free hot food. Not just snacks and drinks, but hot food they make right there. When I was there they made pasta and veal parmesan. They even have a small frig that’s stocked with only Monster drinks. Third because it’s ²⁴⁄₇ they have bunk beds and showers. Have a really early flight the next day? Get stuck overnight in the airport? Coming in to Philly to get trashed? Just swing in to the USO and crash out. Fourth, the people who volunteer, as always (!) are super nice. It’s pretty much a win-​win situation.
I read the review below that criticized this USO for not letting veterans in. When you check in here, you need to give them your military ID. They don’t make these rules up so it’s not their fault. So you can’t be out of the military to use the USO. So don’t blame them for this. After all, anyone can come in and claim they’re a vet with no proof.
