World of Animals at Mayfair

Took my great dane pup there for the first time. The doctor took his time with her and the staff are very nice.

This is a great vet in a convenient location with extended hours. We have been bringing our two kitties there for checkups and other issues since they opened. Each time the staff members have been super helpful and the vet has provided the treatment or advice we needed.

Amazing staff. Dr. G always shows how much he truly cares about any concerns I have and for my dogs’ wellbeing.
I also love that they are always willing to provide you with information on anything from common diseases in the area to pet insurance.

I usually don’t give out long reviews but this place deserves one. This is my 1^st time here and World of Animals is hands down the best vet place I’ve took my dog to. Their office was clean and very pet friendly! Mila (office manager) was so friendly and offered me hot coffee while I wait for Dr. Giampaolo to get blood work and injections for pepper. She was so informative and was happy to answer all of my questions! Samantha (vet tech) was very informative as well and she took her time and kindly gave me options of treatment & prices. She was very patient & knowledgable. Lastly, Dr. Giampaolo is AWESOME! He took his time with Pepper, prescribed her appropriate treatment and gave me positive reassurance. Surprisingly he’s the 1^st vet ever that offered to hold pepper! Overall, I recommend coming here versus other vet clinics that I’ve been to. This place obviously cares about animals, and treat you like your a valuable client rather than just a number. I love how everyone who worked here were very particulate about educating and informing pet owners. They made sure that both pet owners and vet staff were on the same page, Prices are reasonable as well!

Ok, so I didn’t realize that WOA had a Unilocal for the Mayfair office, and I am more than happy to give them a 10 Star rating. I HIGHLY recommend going to this office than the other two that are a little further up FKD Ave., I think the treatment I get there is far superior than the other two previously mentioned. Office is clean, staff is friendly, and the doctors take the time to talk to you.

Everyone including the doctor were soooo caring and friendly. The price was very reasonable for the great service my cat received.

I visited the world of animals for the first time. My dog has always had horrible anxiety when it comes to thunderstorms and firecrackers. It’s heartbreaking. I’ve tried everything naturally without success. After two years of trying I decided to go see a vet. The doctor I seen was very arrogant and consistently talked over me, CONSISTENTLY TALKED OVER ME. I actually don’t know if he heard a word I said. I don’t vaccinate my dog, that is a personal choice. He told me I had to legally have her vaccinated for rabies. I do understand this is true, but previously had read that the governor of Pa passed something that owner could get this waived. Of course I got an arrogant attitude about this also. Anyway, I wanted to go home and look into it some more before allowing any vaccines. He like I said didn’t listen to a word I said. He took her back to take blood, which I agreed to. When he came back he says, «I took blood from here and I put the rabies vaccine here! I just wonder how he thought that was ok to do. I NEVER AGREED TO IT! I’m positive he knew my thoughts and feelings on the subject. When he was back taking her blood, I asked my friend to come back into the room with me just so he could see how arrogant this man was. Will never return. And make sure I tell people to go elsewhere.

Yes when I decline to vaccinate my dog against distemper, parvovirus, etc. it is again a personal choice. May I add it was a decision I made after MUCH Research! And by NO means do I feel Im endangering her. I feel given her the vaccines would cause her harm and that’s not a chance I would like to take. I’ve read many many horror stories, and know of many people who chose to do the same as me. Yes the woman in reception spoke to me about the rabies as did the arrogant doctor, but he knew my feeling on it and processed to vaccinate my dog without my permission. He took her to the back to draw blood (again never mention the rabies shot also) And came back and said I gave her rabies vaccine also. I have no children and my dog is very important to me. I research everything before I make decision when it comes to her and her health. I wanted to go home and read Into it some more. I do however agree that having her vaccinate for rabies is best. But that decision came after he already injected her. If it was simply explained that we could not proceed with appointment unless she got the rabies vaccine, if that had happen I would have left and came back after looking into it. Alls I can say it was not a pleasant experience. I need to
