I came here from Aisha because they were taking too long and it was too hot. Khuki was so good! She gave my eyebrows an amazing shape and her tinting came out so natural on my eyebrows. I am definitely coming back and they offer a student discount which is an added plus.

I’ve been here twice now and they always good a great job. Everyone there seems very friendly and my eyebrows look great! Super convenient and a great price. This is officially my go-​to threading place.

Very dissapointed in their henna. Asked for a large tattoo and they took turns completing it. There were two women, the first did a decent job on the center of the tattoo, however they botched the outside when they swapped out. The second lady did not spend any effort to make the outside look as nice as the inside. The entire product therefore did not meet expectations. Will not be a repeat customer.

HORRIBLE. Bad customer service first of all.
Secondly the lady that did my eyebrows totally made them uneven when I specifically asked her to keep my shape as is, and just CLEAN them up. Then she didn’t even care when I was Unhappy with the outcome of my brows.
Go to anju threads a few doors down. It’s a bit more pricey but ATLEAST they care if you’re satisfied with your threading or not. And their customer service and location is much nicer.

Dooo not go here for henna! Id give this place a no star if I could. I went here this past weekend and asked for a belly button henna tat design. I had the picture of the design on hand, nothing crazy, especially compared to what they have on there web site to what they can do. Anyway, I laid down and could see her studying the pic and then starting the henna, then she’d stop, study the picture again and then get to work on my henna again. That went on through out the whole process till it was over. As I laid there, I thought to myself that this lady seemed like a pro and I was about to get an awesome henna design. Yet, when it was all said and done and I looked down, I was COMPLETLY shocked. What the lady had doodled on my belly was nothing like the design I showed her. Made me wonder why she had been looking so much at the design photo through out the whole design process. I will never go back to that place again for henna and I hope u don’t either, unless you want a henna design that appears to be drawn by a 6 year old.

Good hours. Limited wait time. Affordable. Everything you would want from a threading salon.

Asked for a henna tattoo, lady seemed annoyed that I was asking as a customer. It was horrible and smeared everywhere. She didn’t seem to care. Now it’s stuck on my arm for god knows how many weeks and it looks like I let a toddler draw all over me. Cheap, but never coming back.

I’m in love! I brought in my own picture from Instagram. I showed it to Khushbu and explained what I wanted from the picture and she nailed it! It was perfect!
Oh, and my brows, they are perfect! Always. I found this place by mistake after going to the other place on Chestnut. The best things happen by mistake!

Really great service. Had such a great women spend time and explain to me how she was going to thread my eyebrows. She was the sweetest. Definitely coming back. Trust them with my eyebrows. 5 out of 5 stars.

Love this place. They do great work in a quick and efficient fashion, they’re all very kind, and it’s reasonably priced. They did great work shaping my brows. They were able to create shape out of them in ways no other place has been able to before. They work quickly and efficiently, which is always appreciated, especially with threading. They always take walk-​ins (it might actually be all walk-​ins) and they have loyalty stamp cards to word toward a reward session. They really care about their customer satisfaction. Every time I e gone, they show great appreciation for my business, ask if I have a punch card yet, and ask if I am «on Unilocal» and if I would kindly write a review. It’s clean and contemporary (they take cards and whatnot). It’s a small place, so don’t come with a posse.

My first visit and my first ever experience with threading was pretty decent. The woman was nice and did a good job instructing me on how to position my arms and hands so she can thread.
My latest visit today was a lot different. I had a different threader who seemed like she was not in the mood for novices to the threading experience. I had a hard time positioning for her to thread and she seemed a little rough grabbing my arms. It seemed as if she just wanted to be done. I settled for the eyebrows to be finished and didn’t want to look at them or have any lotion applied. I just wanted to go. Disappointing experience. It is still cheap for $ 10 (students get a discount) and I still tipped out of habit.
The plus side is that I still liked how my eyebrows looked when I saw them at home. I will probably seek another threading salon or just go back to waxing.

I had my eyebrows threaded and tinted here today. I didn’t have an appointment but still only waited a minute or so. Loved the results, will definitely go back!

I’ve been looking for someone to do a good eyebrow tint since I left my last job that was near a spectacular eyebrow place. They did an amazing job and I will definitely be back.

Kuki does an excellent job. We don’t have to tell her what to do, she just knows! We see her at the King of Prussia location.

I have had great experiences here. I just walked in one day and have been coming back every month. Each time I only had to wait a few minutes to be helped.
Getting eye brow threading is a better result than waxing because it looks smoother. I have to say it does take getting used to. It can be painful the first few times but them you get used to it.
It is reasonably priced and they have a punch card to get a bonus after 10 visits.

This place is a hit or miss. I’ve been here 3 times so far and have had 2 great experiences and one pretty lousy one. All depends on who you get which is hard to say because they rotate out so much.
Like many others say bring a student ID if you’re a student, $ 8 is super reasonable for philly. One time I didn’t bring mine and they charged me full price (acceptable) but it was still annoying.
Yesterday I went and I had a girl who was very quick and did a great job! I think she did my eyebrows and upper lip in under 10 mins, pretty impressive. I forgot to ask her name but she signed my loyalty card as «shushby»… I can’t really read her handwriting so it might not be her name haha. I’ve attached a picture in case you can decipher better than I can!

Really good place for eyebrows. I have gone a few times now. I always go to khusbu and she does a great job. Always listens to what I want to get done.

So here’s the thing. This place is hit or miss, depending on who you get and when you go.
I’ve been coming here since they were in the Gallery (probably about 18 months). I followed them to 12^th and Walnut. Sometimes I go in and have a great experience. Sometimes I go in and have a not-​so-​good. Today, was horrific and in that they made have lost my business.
2 weeks ago I went there… walked in and stated (because I know it can be hit or miss depending on who does it) «I’m getting married in 2 days. I don’t have time for mistakes. Who is the best person to do my eyebrows?»
I waited for that person and all was well.
Today I went in to just get a cleaning. I told the girl… I just want it cleaned. Please just clean.
No problem. OH, but there was a problem!
She totally reshaped my eyebrows! TOTALLY! I have thin apostrophes running cross my forehead. AND when I brought it up to her, she acted like she didn’t know what I was talking about.
My problem is that if you have some members on your staff that can and some that can’t, that makes for a very unstable customer service experience. Train people and get everyone to work at the same level. As customers we shouldn’t be scared to sit down every time we come in because we don’t know what we’re going to walk out with.
I am so annoyed right now because now I have to begin the arduous task of growing my eyebrows out AGAIN. No matter that it was probably the most painful of all experiences I’ve had at Zara’s
It’s not JUST that you JACKED up my eyebrows, it is that you didn’t even ATTEMPT to fix it or acknowledge that I was unsatisfied. You got your money and you’re done. Well, I’m done. So people, just know that you may walk in and have an okay experience or you may not. You won’t know until they show you that mirror. BEWARE or GOOD LUCK!

Update: I ended up returning here because I was running too late to get to Aisha’s and the wait at Anju was too long. I had a much better experience this time.
I only waiting about 5 minutes to be seen. The lady who did my threading was very sweet and complimentary. The actual threading was less painful than it was the last time I was there. In about 6 minutes, I was done. My eyebrows look great! Student discount came to $ 8. I’m happy I gave this place another chance. I will be back again.

I like going to Zara brow bar. I usually go to the location on 22^nd and walnut. They are very nice and do a good job with eye brow shaping. They offer a great student discount and a punch card so that every 10^th eyebrow is free! Great service, would recommend it.

I get my eyebrows threaded all the time. I decided to try them out because of the reviews and it’s cheaper than where I usually go. If I could give them zero stars I would.
Service was terrible. They were rude and overcharged us by insignificant amount but just the moral behind it made me angry. I tipped over 25 percent because that’s what I normally do but now I regret it.
My eyebrows were bleeding at the end. The outline of the brows was jagged. I don’t ever fill in my eyebrows but now I think Ill have to. I understand eyebrows are sister not twins but mine were dizygotic twins from different continents. In the end, I ended up going home plucking them and washing my face since it covered with plucked eyebrows which she never attempted to brush off my face.

I’ve been going to Zara since they were in a shady spot in the Gallery, and I kept going back because of the amazing service and skill. Now that they are conveniently located on 12^th and Walnut, I make more frequent trips, and the service and professionalism has only increased!
I’ve had my eyebrows threaded by almost everyone at Zara and have never had a bad experience. They are very quick (I’m usually in and out in 10 min max) without sacrificing precision, open 7 days a week (AMAZING), they offer a student discount, and a loyalty card where you get your 10^th visit free.
As someone who is very particular about her eyebrows, I would absolutely recommend Zara Brow Bar. They do a fantastic job every single time.

Went in for a brow clean up. Its my first time getting my brows done professionally because I usually pluck my brows myself.
The wait was short and the threading process was quick. After she finished threading my brows and plucking some stray hairs, I noticed that there were still more hairs that she missed. I also noticed that my brows rubbed off (I filled in my brows before going) a little bit and she didnt help me fix that. When I asked her to help me fill it in, there was barely any difference. I had to go home and pluck the rest of the hair she missed and fill in my brows myself.
The price was originally $ 10 but theres student discount so I got it for $ 8! Which is nice, but overall I can save myself the $ 8 and do a better job by plucking it myself.

I love this place. I have been wanting to get my eyelashes extended for a while now and I decided to give it a try at Zara? I am so glad that I did! My eyelashes look amazing! Thank you Khuki. You did a fantastic job! I will be back soon!

I know a good amount about waxing, and this place just doesn’t do it for me. I don’t have sensitive skin, and because I’ve been waxing for a long time, my skin generally responds well to it.
Well this time, fail. Came here and my skin flared up and I still have embarrassing rashes from the waxing a week later. Not sure if it was the wax itself, the method, or what. They also put a fragranted lotion on after when something neutral should be used. Ughh I just hope my skin recovers scar free!
I understand that this is a new location, but there was some construction going on in the salon while I was there with two men just watching. Talk about awkward & a less than peaceful experience. It seems like they opened prematurely. The wait area had some cheap fake flowers with the tags still on them read to be placed around the salon. If I were them, I would have prepared the place perfectly first before accepting clients.

Had great service my first time at the Gallery location, but the second time I went to their new location and the lady cut me with the thread twice (I was bleeding) and left some rather obvious strays. When I pointed them out, she claimed they were ingrown. The moment I got home, I plucked them right out (not ingrown) and cleaned up several other ones she missed.
I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and try again. They have great prices and even give a student discount. I guess I’ll have to keep my rubbing alcohol on hand just in case!

If I could give a 0, I would. I went there before and had a good experience so I decided to go back. Big mistake. I walk and told the woman that I wanted my eyebrows cleaned up — I wanted them to be thick and maintain the shape they already had. I didn’t need much.
She was so busy rushing me to my seat that she didn’t even listen. While she was threading my eyebrows, it burned more than usual and I began to bleed. Not only did she do my eyebrows too thin, she went up too far in areas that didn’t need to be threaded. I called the manager over and when she saw my eyebrows, even she said they were too thin. She apologized; however, the woman lied to her and said, «she only wanted the bottom row done» to try to cover herself. Another mistake. I told her that was incorrect and no one ever asks for just their bottom eyebrow to be done — hair grows everywhere.
The other woman then tried to clean my eyebrows, but even she did a terrible job. They looked at my eyebrows at the end and their only suggestion was, «maybe you should add powder or liner.» If someone says that, you know they did a bad job.
I’ve been getting my eyebrows threaded for 8 years and these are the WORST my eyebrows have ever looked. I would NOT recommend this place. I have two uneven eyebrows and neither one of them have a shape.

The woman did a good job with cleaning up my sides, and in a timely manner. I was in and out in 5 minutes.
I’ve only been there once and would just like to point out to make sure you read the sign with the pricing on it thoroughly. I thought threading sides were $ 6, but it turned out to be $ 12 since it’s $ 6 EACH side. Kinda pricey, kinda sneaky.

I love that they finally have their own little boutique in the city. I think it’s cute and exactly what they needed. I’ve always liked getting my eyebrows done here, but I especially like it when Priya does them. She knows exactly what I like, whereas the other women will shape them how they prefer it to look, which obviously doesn’t fly with me.

I’ve been going to Zara for years as they were in and out of the gallery. I was disappointed when I went for a walk-​in and saw the shop in the gallery was closed for good. Thanks to Unilocal,I saw it moved to a cute place at 12^th and walnut!
Excellent prices and service. I’m always so pleased with the results and always get tons of compliments. I’ve tried out lots of threaders but Dimpy is hands down my favorite! So friendly, attentive and gives me exactly what I want/​what looks best for my face.
