History

Established in 2008.

Founded by Jody Hamilton and Alex Urevick-​Ackelsberg, Zivtech started as a Drupal-​only development shop, but has morphed into a full-​service Open Source Software development, design, and training company.

Meet the Business Owner

Jody H.

Business Owner

Jody leads all development at Zivtech. She has been a full-​time Drupal developer since 2006 when she entered the project at Drupal 4.7. Jody began her web career with independent PHP and CSS work. Before founding Zivtech in 2008, she worked freelance building websites, developing modules, theming, teaching, and consulting. Working independently on projects where she ‘wore all the hats’, Jody became a highly skilled Drupal generalist.

At Zivtech Jody leads the development team, architects projects, writes modules, and provides consulting and development training for clients. She takes responsibility for the quality of development work and enforces best practices.

Jody graduated from Harvey Mudd College in 2000. Prior to joining the world of open source web development she worked as an analytical chemist for the pharmaceutical industry and as a high school math teacher. Her scientific approach and education background are both useful in her current work.
