7th Street Computer Store

This was defiantly the worst experience I’ve had in a long time. I dropped off my laptop to have the screen replaced. The owner /​technician, Dan Watt, was very pleasant to talk to and assured me he had the new screen in stock and it would be ready the very next day. He asked me to pay for the screen and service up front, which I thought was odd. I paid him against my better judgment. When I stopped by the next day to pick up my computer, the store was closed and no answer on the phone. This was the same story for three days. When I finally found the store open it was four days later and I was told Dan wasn’t there. The lady that told me this looked very out of place. She was barely dressed and kept talking to someone in the office and continued to tell me that Dan wasn’t there. She then began to bathe herself in the sink behind the counter as if she was completely alone in the store. It took over two weeks and a threat of lawsuit to finally get my computer back, it was in the exact same condition. No repairs made and Dan refused to return my money stating that a previous employee stole the money and some computers and that he wasn’t responsible for their actions. As I was leaving a lady came in the store and walked right passed me to the office. I saw her put something down on the desk and pickup some money. Dan told her thank you and she left. Then Dan went into the office and shut the door. He never came back out. I just left. I hate to say but I’m positive he was doing drugs in the office. What a way to create a positive experience for returning clientele.

I have had excellent service at this shop and feel that the owners (who are the entire staff) are quite skilled and attentive to their customers. I understand that small businesses work to build and depend on a supportive public, and I am pleased to support this local shop. I have had work done here and will continue to do so.

Spoke with them to confirm business hours since i live far away, went next day and they were closed when they said they would be open. Not cool!

I hate to give a small independent store a bad review because I know how difficult it can be to compete with the big guys but this was a Horrible experience from start to finish. Dropped off computer to have some software installed at a discount. Called him the next day and no answer so I left a message. after that I stopped by his store and it was closed. Finally two weeks later got a hold of him and picked up my computer. Their software didn’t work. The guy is really friendly and he apologized for my inconvenience. I won’t be back
