A AAA A1 Fast Guaranteed Appliance Service

I bought a house in Glendale in Sept 2015 the tech Mike was supposed to fix the thermostat on my oven i n the house I was buying as part of the deal of the purchase. This guy charges the old lady selling the house $ 160 claimed he adjusted the thermostat. I move in the oven goes full blast and no work was done to the appliance at all! Then I call they send the guy out again he gives my wife attitude then leaves saying the tappan oven is unfixable no matter how much I pay him and stormed out! I purchased a new thermostat for the stove 3 days ago and fixed it myself for 46 $. The company is total fraud or the tech is a liar. But don’t do business with these people they charge for no work being done. I have attached the invoice.

**BE ADVISED** Unless you want to be the victim of a scam DO NOT call this service. What I’m about to tell you really happened: My father, who is 92 and is not in good health, called this service to replace two light bulbs in the hood above his stove.
After the repairman spent 10 minutes changing the two bulbs, my father was presented with a bill of $ 232. After I heard the story, I found the same bulbs at Home Depot for $ 3/​each. However, my father was told at the time that the bulbs retailed for $ 50/​each, which was the repairman’s justification for the charge.
My subsequent attempts to stop payment on the check were fruitless. After calling this service to inquire about the high cost, I was told they would «look into it». Guess what? I’ve never heard back.
Caveat emptor…

So my fridge goes out the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Calling around on Sunday late afternoon — of course no one was open. Accredited Appliance had a webform to fill out for appointment — so I did.
Prompt call the next morning at about 6:30am — I work early, and was REALLY happy to hear from them. They would be out that afternoon!
Technician shows up — clean, friendly, very knowledgeable. Does a diagnosis in 5 min and finds the problem to be some computer control board. Doesn’t have part, will have to return in about 30 min. Total will be about $ 750.
He comes back — replaces the part in about 15 min. I pay and he is on his way.
Of course I pull the part number and look it up online. Apparently it is a common failure for this model, and a NEW replacement part can be found online for about $ 200… really? $ 200!!!
So now the warm and fussy of being happy my fridge was repaired has gone away — knowing that the «labor» and diag to replace this part was $ 550! Even if we count drive time — that is $ 550/​hour. I understand you are paying for the «knowledge» — but come on.
My wife always says I am too trusting … last time I get a repair done on the spot with no research!

So here’s the deal;
I don’t mind that the guy was an hour+ late. Sitting around the house waiting sucks but I understand service calls sometimes run late.
The guy himself was clean and friendly and all that. No problem there.
Here’s where Accredited Appliance can go to hell:
$ 263 for a fridge start relay. I know sending a guy out to my house costs money, I know that his time and knowledge cost money, I know that I shouldn’t expect «amazon price»… all that is fine. But that’s a part that sells for under 30 bucks on Amazon (for my specific fridge) and it took the guy 10 minutes to install. If the repair had been $ 100 or $ 150 I’d have been totally happy. $ 263 is robbery.
Please don’t do business with this company.

Aaaand my fridge isn’t fixed either — I woke up today to a wet floor and squishy «frozen» vegetables.

After I called to let them know my fridge was not repaired, they sent the same guy out to fix it — as before, the technician was clean and friendly & professional. He repaired the remaining fault with the fridge at no additional cost. Accredited Appliance also sent me a letter politely confronting this Unilocal review, and with a 10% refund.

Worst company! Can you get in the 21^st century and organized? First you say the window is 10 am-​1pm. Then you call and say it has been changed to 1 – 4 pm. It’s 4:30. Still no technician. Why don’t you just tell people to wait at home the entire day? Wake up and use some data analysis to staff your stupid company correctly. Thanks for nothing!

Well, the saga is finally over… and they had to pay out barely ½ of what I had to pay out… PLEASE, dont use them…

My refrigerator needed to be serviced and I was able to schedule a same day appointment. The technician arrived 10 minutes early (I received a phone call 15 minutes prior to his arrival to ensure I was home) and the work was completed in less than 45 minutes. Like a previous commentor I did feel it was a little pricey, but I was pleased with the technician’s efficiency and knowledge. He even put all the stuff back in my freezer for me! I was offered a discount because I booked my appointment online, and the technician mentioned it without any prompting from me. I would be very likely to use them again and recommend them to others.

I have had many dealings with this company and never had bad service. Technicians were courteous, prompt and if they are running late they called and let me know. If the repairs would be close to the cost of the new appliance they would let you know as they did with me with my washer. I would definitely recommend this company to my friends and family.

I will not be using this company again for any repairs. We called because everything in our freezer was covered in ice, and the ice in the icemaker was melting and refreezing into big chunks. We paid for this company to come to our house and declare that we were leaving our freezer door open. We’ve had the freezer for three years and thought it was strange that we suddenly would be leaving our door open, but we made a point to keep it closed tight. We tried putting a package of food in at night, pushed the door closed as tightly as we could, and it was covered in ice by the next morning. We called Accredited Appliance and they maintain the problem is that we weren’t closing the door and refused to refund our money.
We were told a manager/​supervisor would call us after we expressed our dissatisfaction, but no one ever called.
So, not only did Accredited Appliance not fix our freezer, but we were charged money for them not to fix our freezer. We now have to pay another company to come out and actually figure out the problem. I would not recommend using this company unless you are sure of what your problem is and know it’s a simple fix.

We had a problem with the dishwasher not draining. Richard came out, fixed that with not problem, but after a day it became apparent that something wasn’t right with the lower spray arm. After coming back and trying a few things that didn’t solve the problem, he generously offered to simply replace the entire lower arm at no cost because he hadn’t been able to fix the issue. At all times, he was gracious, informative and solicitous of what we wanted to do.

Total rip off and poor service.
My scottsaman stand alone ice maker was leaking water. I pulled the ice maker out of the island cleaned the water and turned off the unit.
Technician Mike S showed up turned everything on and noticed a small leak in the drain hose. He replaced the hose (just a rubber nothing special hose) and charged me 230.00. He would not put the unit back in the island and would not replace the faceplate on the front since he did
not take them out.

I called this company at 3:30 pm on a Sat. to repair my refrigerator. Since they close at 4pm I scheduled to have them come out on Mon. The lady on the phone was very nice and took all my info. Not 5 min. later she called back and said she could have someone come out right away if I wanted. No extra charge or anything. Awesome. He showed up within 30 min. and was very knowledgeable. He explained what was wrong with it, had the part he needed in the truck with him, and had it fixed within the hour. He even threw in a free part as a preventative measure. I highly recommend this company and especially if you ask for Glenn!

And this place is ToFixIt recommended… makes me leery of their other recommendations.
So, I have a problem with the ice maker on my LG refrigerator. Nothing earth shattering or urgent, but a PITA nonetheless. I get an 8 – 12 appointment for the next morning. Pleasant phone staff, über responsive, good experience so far! :)
And the darkness begins… Just before noon they phone me and say they’re running late and it’ll be between 3 – 5 pm. I say cool, I understand things happen. Tick Tock Clarice… Five minutes to Five a call to say they’re on the way!
So, cigarette Mary shows up with his ‘son’ and I escort them to the kitchen. He proceeds to tell me my fridge is a piece of Korean junk, but they can rescue the ice maker at least for $ 360 praise be. He tells me that he knows I think it’s pretty, but really-​piece of crap that should really just go to the dumpster (never mind it’s a $ 2000 fridge ~4 years old).
I told him that I’d think about it, he responded that he’d be glad to charge me $ 55 just for the privilege of having him and his ‘son’ here for the glory of the whole two minutes.
I said «HANG ON A SECOND… you are actually going to charge me after being five hours late for opening my freezer door exactly twice?» No tools, no diagnostics, NOTHING??? He mumbled scrwoijncuntgon and they both left.
Now, I do not normally give neg ratings, nor am I high maintenance. I even called the office to relay my experience and they replied «well what do you want me to do?» The tech is very experienced and doesn’t need to use tools (MAGIC!!).
I told them I don’t want anything (discount, etc._) but was just very disappointed. I now have made it a low grade mission to see nobody uses these jackasses ever again…

The problem with our dryer was an obvious one, but they refused to give us pricing on ANY parts or any non-​binding estimate until the «technician» got there. He didn’t seem like a technician… he was a blow-​hard salesman. He tried to sound like he was trying to ‘bend the rules’ for me and give me a ‘sweet deal’ but he was just a loser missing his gold chains. I know why they won’t give you any estimate over the phone… because their prices are SKY HIGH! I sent him away without having the repair done. He was so creepy! I felt totally ripped off and I’m mad at myself for not calling them on it afterward (you have to pay $ 50 for this blowhard to come over and try to upsell you). «To Fix It» has them listed. I had liked Parker and Sons so I gave this company a shot. Never again. He can pimp his overpriced repairs somewhere else. He even told me they work on commission. WHO WANTS THE REPAIR GUY TO WORK ON COMMISSION???
UPDATE: Parker and Sons OWNS ToFixIt! so I won’t be using them or anyone from ToFixIt! any more… scammy.

We have had Accredited Appliance here 3 times now. First was our fridge. It was only 2 yrs old and needed a new compressor switch. The serviceman was pleasant, on time and came on a Saturday. He guaranteed the part for 1 year.
4 months later the whole board broke. He came out, at no charge and was honnest with me. He said for a new board we were looking at 800. He said it would be cheaper to go buy a new fridge at that point. Unfortunately we did but he didnt charge us for that trip, nor try to talk us into repairing it.
Our dryer had smoke coming out of it. Called them again, and the lint build up was around the heating element. He thoroughly cleaned the dryer and vent. A little steep for the repair, $ 125 but it was done and he advised us on a few things we can avoid in the future.
Our washing machine just broke (yes, we have horrid luck) so I called them for this repair as well.
From the 3 times we have used them, soon to be 4 we have been very happy.

Why does a washer break on the first load of laundry when you’re out of underwear? Why can’t it break on the last load? And why did this happen not once, but twice?
My first experience with this company would have been a 4-​star rating. Prompt, same day service. Broken belt, $ 200 and I’m on my way to clean underwear. But the second time… not so good. Only 2 stars.
The appointment window was 1 – 5. What time did he show up? 6 pm. Somewhere around 4, the company must have known they could not dispatch him soon enough to make it on time, but do you think they could have called. Nope, too much to ask.
When he did finally get there, he determined the washer had a bad main electronic board. I agreed to the repair which was, of course, at the top of my predetermined limit of $ 300. The part had to be ordered, but he thought it was available locally. The company was to call me the next day (Friday) to give me more details. After waiting around all afternoon Thurs, it was a repeat on Friday. We finally called them on Friday afternoon and were told they were still hoping to get the part that day, but if not, they would repair it on Saturday.
Saturday morning the repairman himself called and said the part was in Tucson and he couldn’t get it until Monday. The guy did show up Monday, but only to say he learned that the main board may actually have been blown by a bad motor board. Sure enough, both were bad. Now it’s a $ 600 fix. Forget it. And thanks Accredited Appliance for placing no value whatsoever on your customer’s time. Next time I have a few days to kill, I’ll give you a call.
I can’t say I would never call them again as I don’t think they are dishonest or incompetent, but their customer service sucks. My advice ladies is to keep a few pair of those panties you never wear because «what if I’m in an accident» in the back of your drawer for emergencies. And men… never mind, clean underwear is usually optional for you anyway.
