Great experiences every time I’ve been here. Reasonably priced services and my gel nails have always lasted for several weeks. Clean atmosphere, very friendly and willing to create custom designs. Worth going out of your way for!

This place is great! I came here with my mom to get my nails done and it seems like this place is totally a hit! They have a great selection of colors of gel and regular polish and nice chairs for pedicures. I would call in advance to get an appointment and not try and get a walk in appt. like I did though! I will definitely be back. A pedicure and gel manicure were only $ 50 total!

Visiting from mn. Saw reviews on Unilocal and decided to go. Turns out the person helping me lived in mn for 10 yrs ago so we had a nice chat. My pedicure was done very nicely and professionally! I loved the aroma of the pumpkin spice. Would go back again if ever in the area again!

I absolutely love this place! Kate is one of the best nail technicians because she does a phenomenal job and always makes sure I am satisfied with their/​her work. A very clean atmosphere and you’re sure to receive top dollar service. They’re very personable and have my whole family coming back for more.

I started coming to AZ Tips and Toes in early 2014 and it has been a pleasant experience every single time!
The first time I went in was just a walk in, I had just moved in across the street and it was the first place I tried in Ahwatukee. They were very busy at my first visit (which I saw as a good sign!) but I was still greeted with genuine smiles and ‘hello’s. Kate explained that they may not have time for a walk in but managed to get me seated in less than 10 minutes. I was getting a full set of acrylics and Kate was very friendly and engaging, but didn’t force conversation like I have experienced in some places. She did an excellent job on my nails, did them exactly how I asked and even took the time to let me look them over and fix anything that bothered me.
The second time I visited, Kate remembered me and greeted me by name. This was surprising to me and definitely made me like this place even more! And now many of them remember me and greet me by name, I love it!
I am moving to a different state and will miss my visits to AZ Tips and Toes very much! I even joked with my boyfriend that we needed to bring Kate with us because I can’t imagine going to someone else for my nails.
Overall, I recommend this place to anyone in Ahwatukee or surrounding areas. They honestly treat you like a friend, not just a random customer, and that’s what sets them apart.

I got a gel manicure from Kate a few days ago. She was extremely nice and took very good care of me. She checked multiple times to make sure I was comfortable, both in the chair and with what was going on with my nails. While I was in her chair, I noticed that she greeted all of her regular guests by name as they came in the door, and thanked them by name as they left. The polish selection is pretty good, and she even noted that the color I had chosen was discontinued, suggesting a similar one instead. I will absolutely be going back!

Wow! My gel back fill looks great. John did them and did an amazing job. From the outside, the shop doesn’t look like much but when you walk in its quite different, very nice and I’m highly impressed with the décor and cleanliness! Prices are very good and students get a 10% discount. Make sure to set aside a good amount of time as they really spend time doing a great job. It looks like I may have found my nail spot!

I’ve been looking for a good nail salon in this area for awhile and I will tell you what this one is AMAZING. I had a vision of what I wanted and it was executed to the T. I came in 45mins before close for gel polish and they took me right in with no appointment (they do wish you would make one tho). This will definitely be my new nail spot from now on.

Steven is the ONLY great nail tech here, he does amazing work. All the other nail techs have done a poor job.

I think I have finally found a nail salon that i love! This place did an amazing job on my nails and i felt very welcomed! Everyone was really friendly! The place is up kept very well and the prices are very reasonable. I was very impressed! Next time ill bring my friend so she can see what i have been boasting about.

This was the first time I went here and I was very impressed.
I got a pedicure and acrylics fill and I had two men (Kent-​nails and John-​pedi) who did a great job. Kent actually did my hands while I was sitting in the pedicure getting my feet done, so it was pretty cool… I’ve never had that before!
They did a good job with both pedi and nails and definitely took care with them.
The inside of the salon is very nice and simple.
While I was there it was slow (Monday after noon) but they had a few customers. One woman came in to get something fixed, but she didn’t have time to wait for the two of us already getting services, so she left and made an appt for the next day. They called her back a few minutes later and said they were finished and were able to get her in – very personalized help!
Another woman was getting July 4^th nails with designs and they seemed to be doing a great job with those.
Apparently they have ‘Happy Hour’ pricing, which I wasn’t aware of and didn’t make an appointment, but it’s a cool addition for sure.
Will definitely be back!

This place is amazing! I haven’t had a Mani-​pedi i. six years and I am so glad that I did it at this place! Marie took care of my hubby and Ken did my nails. What a great experience! They were both attentive and really took their time. We got up sold to the pomegranate pedi but it was so worth it! The whole experience was almost 2hrs!!! Marie is full of energy and is an absolute hoot! Great quality of work. Ken had my nails looking like fireworks and totally achieved my 4^th of July look I wanted! It will probably not be a whole 6 years before my next visit as they definitely left me wanting more. I’ve been to a lot of nail salons and this was probably the best experience I’ve ever had! Highly recommend to anyone looking for good quality and fun atmosphere

I originally started coming here because it was next to my office. I live in Scottsdale so it was never convenient otherwise. A few months ago I got a new job closer to home, so I’ve stopped spending any time in Ahwatukee aside from AZ Tips and Toes. It is worth the 30-​minute drive, I promise!
Larry and Kate have done a fantastic job with the salon. It looks and feels upscale but the prices are very reasonable. From the moment you walk in, you will be treated like a valued client. Even after one visit, they will remember your name, how you like your nails, and whatever details of your life you shared with them last time. The staff are friendly and talented at what they do. «My girl» is Dana (Vietnamese name Luon), and I am always happy with her work.
The pedicure menu ranges from classic to fancy, but even the most basic option is luxurious. They do hot stone massages with every pedicure, along with a long leg massage. The massage chairs are new and comfortable, although I wish the timer was longer than 15 minutes.
Some of the reasons why I continue to come here even though it’s a 30-​minute drive from my house… Free water upon arrival and at your request, stamp card!!!, hooks to hang your purse at each station, and it doesn’t stink like acetone. I’ve brought a few friends here, my dad, and even my boyfriend’s mom! As I expected, everyone I’ve brought here has been impressed and happy with their manis and pedis.
I will be a returning customer as long as I live in Phoenix! Thank you Kate, Larry and Dana!!!

Just went to Kelly at az tips and toes. My friend referred me to her. Best place ever! The place is clean and open and Kelly did an amazing job on my nails! I have had the hardest time finding someone who does a good job but this is going to be my spot from here. thank you Kelly!!!

Was in Phoenix for vacation, and needed my nails done. I read reviews on here, and even though one bad review 3 days prior, there were more positive than negative, so I went for it.
Dana and Jimmy were great, and when I goofed up my «not yet dry» nail doing the key thing, they fixed it up without complaints.
The atmosphere was friendly, and I didn’t hear any phone ringing, except for Kate making future appts. I highly recommend AZ Tips and Nails. A strong positive for my first post retirement review.

I was a loyal and very please customer for a couple of months, and it seems, just as it always does… that after a they get to know you, they care less and less about you.
I used to bring my Grandmother in there as well, but when the service started to decline, I stopped. Just recently I stopped altogether
For some reason they don’t have enough respect for others, like most… and they don’t have enough backbone to tell the disruptive, immature and ignorant customers that are disregarding everyone’s existence by yapping on there cell phone at unnecessary volumes, so the rest of us sit in misery. Some people are to sheepish to say anything, others like me trying to avoid a situation resulting from putting someone in there place. I’m trying to work on my intolerance for people and find a way to make myself a better person by not reacting. It’s a trial of patience.
Without fail, it became a standard time of two hours to get a gel mani and a regular pedi — how it the hell it takes so long is beyond me. Employees are always quitting and they always have to call for emergency backup from on-​call nail techs because they can’t run the business and keep employees around long enough to create what should be a well-​oiled machine. It’s just nails, there should be no complications. Couldn’t be an easier line of work if you asked me.
Anyhow, the end for me was when I had to cut the appt. short and get a regular polish instead of gel on my hands because I couldn’t bare to sit in that chair any longer. They assured me nails were dry, and I was careful, but they weren’t (of course blamed me for that later) and after all that time, the work that had been done looked like a preschooler did painting. I left, called Kate (who was already aware of what happened) and she said she would fix it.
When she was done, she asked the cashier to collect the payment from me — and I said «YOU’RE GONNA CHARGE ME TO FIX WHAT YOUR STAFF DID WRONG?» her lame-​minded response was, «Oh, you didn’t pay for gel last time». Well yea! I couldn’t sit there another hour waiting for that to happen and it doesn’t warrant a bad paint job. She completely danced around the issue. My grandmother has given them close to $ 400 dollars worth of movies in their language, and we have been loyal for several months … this is how she treats me. So sickened — looking forward to the day I run into them again, as I have before, and have them ask me why I don’t come in anymore. Sad, but Kate would probably ask and pretend to not know why. Sneaky Sneaky — me no likey.

I just moved to Phx and found a place I will be going back to. I had a mani/​pedi and they were both amazing. Jimmie did the radiating sea salt pedi. I will never settle for less after that sensory experience. Then Trish did my gel mani and she was patient, suggesting ombré glitter which I thought was so cute.
My 8 yr old daughter was along and got a kids mani/​pedi and she was very specific in what she wanted (design, color and placement of gems, lol) and they were so friendly and polite in working with her.
The only criticism is their décor is the typical, boring strip mall nail salon look, and the pedi chairs seem a little dated, but their expertise, patience, friendliness and relaxing music more than make up for it.

I could not be happier with my new nail gal! I just moved into town a few weeks ago and had gone to about 5 other places before stopping in to check with AZ Tips &Toes. All of the other places said that I needed a new set and that my nails were bad and the acrylic was old! WRONG! My nails were just fine. When I stopped in to see Kate, she looked at my nails and asked me if I had ever had pink and white done… I told her no. She asked if she could try it on me, so I obliged. WOW!!! Is all I have to say. Pink and white is so natural, shiny and looks amazing. I was a little skeptical as to how long it would last. Well, I went in today for my first fill with Kate and my nails shined just as they were brand new still! I love this place, I’m very happy and 5 STARS to Kate for a wonderful experience!
The facility is clean and peaceful. If you want a nice place to get your nails done, this is the place! Thank you Kate!!!

I’ve been in here several times and honestly I’ll never go back. I asked for a certain type of glitter (which they didn’t have) so the male nail tech said he can make something else work. Long story short my nails turned out really bad. I let them know I wasn’t happy about it and the manager stood up and argued with me and told me I should have said something before they dried. Why would I say something when the guy said it changes the way it looks after the uv light? I left that day and got them done somewhere else right away. Bad customer service and bad communication! The only nice person was the girl at the front (Yesenia I think) she offered to change my nails right away and apologized. This was also when the manager decided to chime in and argue.
