History

Established in 1974.

The Bender Performing Arts formerly Betty Johnson School of Dance has been serving the Phoenix area since 1974. We offer a diverse range of dance styles including ballet, jazz, tap and hip hop. Our pre school and kindergarten programs are designed specifically to fit the needs of children ages three through five. We also offer private music instruction in piano, voice and also have expanded into all forms of the performing arts including musical theatre. Classes are offered for ages 2.5 through adult. With a faculty of over 20 our school offers a group of teachers who bring to the classroom their passion for the arts and a commitment to excellence.
