Brightmont Academy is an accredited 6^th-​12^th private school with a mission to provide one-​to-​one instruction to help students reach their full academic potential and prepare for college and career. At the center of the personalized learning approach is one-​to-​one instruction: One teacher works with one student to individualize learning pace, style, and goals. Students can enroll in a customized academic program on a flexible schedule and start any time of year. Brightmont also offers courses for credit, tutoring for grades 3 – 12, test preparation, and college and career assessment.

History

Established in 1999.

Brightmont Academy has served more than 2,500 students since 1999 and has campuses in Arizona, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, and Washington.

Judith Zenna-​Valgento, Ph.D. Campus Director

At Brightmont Academy, Judith creates customized learning

plans for students using knowledge from her academic degrees and 12 years of experience in private practice as an education psychologist in the Phoenix area.

She blends her effective communication skills with an expertise in best educational practices and brain research related to learning.

While in private practice, she collaborated with local specialists including psychologists, legal and health professionals, to develop educational plans and appropriate school placements to meet the unique needs of students.

Judith earned a Ph.D. in educational psychology, and holds a master’s degree in education

and a bachelor’s degree in education with a minor in psychology.
