Citi on Camelback

Citi on Camelback is a great place to live! I lived at this property for two years. The management staff is friendly, maintenance requests are completed very quickly, and the grounds are always clean. The property offers two swimming pools (in different locations), a decent gym, a clubhouse with a pool table, two outdoor fireplaces and gas grills. My unit was the larger one bedroom and it was a perfect bachelorette pad. Lots of natural light, enough storage, large bedroom and walk in closet, spacious bathroom, great sized patio, and a garage. The location is great. Close to great restaurants, grocery stores, and lots of things to do. When I moved out (June 2016) I had no issues and my full deposit was returned.
I’ve done the research and happy to tell you that Citi on Camelback is as good as it gets in Central Phoenix for the price point. Definitely check this place out if you’re apartment hunting!

I love living here! It’s the absolute best!
First of all, the apartment complex itself is beautiful– the pool area is always in use but never feels crowded, the outdoor fire places are extremely cozy, I’ve been inside of three different layouts and each is spacious with high ceilings and plenty of windows. Maintenance keeps up with landscaping, and the community always feels clean.
One of my favorite things about Citi on Camelback is the location. We’re near so many restaurants and bars, and a short drive from Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, and Sprouts. We’re a few blocks from the light rail, we have easy access to the highways, and we’re incredibly close to Steele Indian Park.
The thing that’s keeping me here a second year, though, above anything else, is the office staff. They are absolutely amazing. Kimberly and Lynn really care about their residents. Every time my roommates and I have gone into the office, they’ve remembered us– not only by face and by unit number (we pick up a lot of packages!), but they remember details about our lives– they ask about our jobs, our dogs, my wedding. They are accommodating in every way and I never feel that I am burdening or annoying them when I need something. They are the definition of exceptional customer service, and are a huge part of the reason why I would recommend this complex to anyone.
I have a few complaints, but they are minor. The sprinklers at the dog park go off way too often, which creates a lot of mud, resulting in mosquitos. Because of this, not many people clean up after their pets, and I’ve stepped in dog poop a couple of times. Honestly, though, I feel very fortunate to even HAVE a dog park, so who cares?!
ADVICE: this place is expensive, but keep your eye on the availabilities online– you’ll see that the prices are always changing (weird corporate thing) and that it can be surprisingly affordable. I’ve seen the same layout run from $ 985 (what I’m paying now– score!!) to $ 1800– it seriously all depends on the day. My fiancé and I were looking to move into a one bedroom at the end of this current lease and we were discouraged by how expensive it can be, but the office staff called us right away when one was listed within our price range– just another example of how amazing they are and of how much they care about their residents.

It seemed better than others I have lived at, even in Cali. Not really special, but we sure liked where it is located, right across from where I got my beamer serviced, never needed to be picked up nor a loaner. Liked the free starbucks and water and drinks in Gym. Didn’t have that before, just those fattening cookies at my other apartments in the past. Our place didn;t face busy Camelback and seemed good to me. The office people were okay, helpful seemed. I didn’t have any issues, just got my packages and left. Went to a BBQ one time by the pool, it was good, and free wine.
It did and met my needs and was able to pay online and not much else. I liked the Irish bar and their food across the street and Safeway wasn’t really that far. Nice area. Busy in mornings and eves., but so was the other places I’ve stayed. Business cooridor, I expected it. Really liked the Biltmore shopping and dining just down the way, pretty neat.
Yeah, if I had to move back for the year I was there, I guess I would possibly move back there if I didn’t buy a house.
Decent place. I didn’t have any issues with any other apartment dweller or parking, Liked the gates.
Also, alot of nightlife down the street made it easy to take care of our business and eating out.
Maintenance guy helped me to start my wife’s car once, that was cool, didn’t expect that.

I would also like to give this property 0 stars. AWFUL customer service. When I first moved in here the original management was awesome! But now I know everyone else. However the only one that stayed was the assistant manager. He is just an horrible person, Very mean and not friendly at all. The maintenance took a good 3 weeks… I requested multiple times to have my bill from moving out to be mail to me but instead, I got a collection letter. When I reported this to Orian (The main company) no one cared. So DO NOT LIVE HERE!

The only reason they get 1 star is because there isn’t a 0. I don’t have a clue how anybody lives here with management that is beyond incompetent. Made an appointment to go see a 2br/​2ba. Got there to be informed that it was being renovated and couldn’t see it. They said it would be ready on the following Saturday. I called on that Saturday, they said it was ready. So I go down the following Wednesday and they say I can’t see it because it’s being renovated. If this is my experience trying to rent from them I can only imagine how bad it is for the actual tenants.

Something isn’t right here. After searching online, made an appointment online to see a 2bd 2 bath apt. When my bf and I got there, we were told there were no rentals available. To overcome that strange and sudden hurdle, we told him we didn’t need an apt until Dec (it’s now mid July). The guy then told me there were no garages. I pulled out my phone and read an email that said they do have them. He said some units do and some don’t. Maybe there would be one by the time we want one. I asked if we could just look at a model. He said there wasn’t one to show. I said someone should have cancelled my appt, because I had driven from the east valley to see one. He apologized, we left. After discussing how strange that I would have a friendly inviting email, then be told something different in person, my bf and I called back two hours later. A female answered, and said yes, come on over, we have a 2 bd model you can tour, let me have your name, phone number, etc. I told her I was on the other side of town, and wasn’t sure if I could make it. She told me wonderful their property is, and pressed for a tentative appointment for the following day. After confirming I could actually tour, and giving her fake contact info, I said maybe I could make it over in half an hour, but I didn’t want to drive over if I could tour. She confirmed they had a 2 bd model they would be happy to show us. DISCRIMINATION! That is our obvious conclusion. We also emailed the management with concerns about our experience. Why bother when there are so many other welcoming properties in central Phoenix.
