Comfort Inn I-10 West at 51st Ave

My husband and I as well as 2 dogs are traveling from Northern California to Maryland. This was our first stop/​rest. After 13 hours of driving we were exhausted. The guy at the front desk was nice and remembered speaking to us on the phone the previous day about our pets and parking accommodations since we are towing a trailer. The room and bathroom was clean. The carpet has the older look but didn’t bother us at all. Breakfast starts at 5am and it’s not the best breakfast but it was okay for us. For the pets there is a lot of rocky area and tons of poop everywhere that people don’t pick up. But there is a good patch of grass in the front area. I didn’t like how right in the front entrance there were smokers right as you enter. Also the back entrance as well the smokers are right next to the door.

This place was disgusting. Blood on the bath mat. Large stains on a pillow case. Unclean towels from the previous person in the bathroom. I wasn’t allowed to check in early because they were cleaning the rooms. Evidently not…

After being in the car for hours, with two small children, we were anxious to get settled somewhere and put the kids to bed. We drove into town later than hoped and tried our first choice of hotels but they were booked. Based on reviews this was next best option in this immediate area. Once we entered the room, I could tell the room was not well maintained. The floors did not look vacuumed well and there were stains on the carpet, curtains and upholstered furniture. There was trash on the floor and under furniture and then I saw it… a pile of dog poop under the desk!
My husband was just bringing in our bags in when I showed him and he immediately went to request a new room.
We were moved to a new room but the cleanliness of room is no better… minus the poop. There are stains on the walls, furniture and floors, sticky food residue on dresser, wallpaper peeling in bathroom, etc. Our kids were melting down at this point as it was a couple hours past bed time so we are here staying the night. At least the bed linens look & smell clean. To add to frustration all the vending machines are out of water or do not work. My husband had to leave to find a local convenient store to purchase water.
I can’t wait for the sun to rise so we can move on. Honestly, I’m afraid to see what this place really looks like in the light of day. We have already booked a room elsewhere for the rest of our stay here in Phoenix.

Well I travel a lot with this company and everything is paid for in advance for us. The front desk help has good service and are friendly and will accommodate all the needs you have that they can. The location is right by there major freeways and there are places to eat around. The rooms are big and have Queen size beds, with a decent sized bathroom and most importantly hot water! I was also able to do my laundry here with their on site washer and dryer. It was buck to dry and only a quarter more to wash. Breakfast here is good. Eggs sasuage, cereal or toast. Bisquits and gravey. O.j., a.j., yogurt. That’s just some of the things they serve. Not bad in my opinion.

Friendly front desk. Clean and spacious room, comfortable bed with soft/​firm pillows, sofa, nice size tv with ok channel selection, clean bathroom, a/​c and wifi worked just fine, outlets on the desk and by the beds, fridge and microwave, plenty of parking. Room a bit dark, lamps don’t provide much light; a few fast food restaurants nearby. Decent breakfast selection (though no bagels and no cream cheese, my 2 favorite food groups!). I would probably stay here again.

Arrived at 1 AM and front desk girl was new. It took over 30 minutes to check us in. We finally get to our room and our bathroom is clogged! We called front desk and she arrives 15 minutes later to try to fix it herself, she couldn’t so she volunteered to look for a plunger!!! At this point I so tired I wanted to go to bed. 30 minutes goes by and no sight of her, I call the front desk and she tells me to wait because she is checking someone else in. I demanded another room so she makes me bring all mu luggage back down to the front desk to give me another room. I was upset but ease because I was getting another room, I open the door and it’s a QUEEN bed instead of a KING! I was downgraded. I will never return to this place again. So not worth any $$$.

Yikes! Where are the Choice hotel folks! I have enjoyed this hotel for years… Hampton Inn was it’s hay day, as it became Comfort Inn, weeeeeeeee down the sliding scale! The hotel is the SAME as it was back in early 2000’s as a Hampton (carpet, furniture, and so on). Now, it has become a truck parking lot, and a driving school dormitory (not that these customers are bad people), but the hotel ought to show it’s «appreciation» for their loyal, long standing and dedicated business by kicking a few bucks into modernization, and some general upkeep! This is a great location (every driver will agree)! So don’t avoid the place, just a friendly kick in the pants to ownership!!!

I stayed for two nights here. At check-​in, the girl was friendly, checking me in quickly then waving me in the direction I needed to go while relaying instructions. Upon entering my room, my first notice was the air was off completely, the room hot and stifling. I turned on the AC, and proceeded on with my day. The first thing I noticed was my fridge was not running. I walked up to the front desk to report it, and they told me that it was probably just turned way down, and to turn it way up. I returned to my room to do just that. It never kicked on, but I was running late and had to go. When I got back, it still was not working. I reported it again in the morning to a hurried front desk girl who was walking away from me (She was still polite enough to ask my room number), and they told me they would have maintenance look at it in the morning. The next day, maintenance did NOT get notified, and when I complained at the end of the next day, they offered to move me rooms but by then the damage was done, and I had zero interest in moving. If you have something that isn’t right here, hound them to get it fixed.
While first entering my room, it looks very nice and cozy. It isn’t until a further inspection with a bored eye that you begin to see the room is a little worn down. The carpet was coming up in the corner under the AC, there are pieces missing from the popcorn roof, and cracks in the ceiling directly above the shower. The showers are nice and spacious however, with those nice curved shower rods.
Housekeeping did an excellent job, cleaning my room two days in a row (They appear to be somewhat lazy on their reporting to maintenance skills on what needs to be fixed). The towels were fresh, clean, and not a spot on them. The beds were well made, and utterly delightful. The choice in pillows is great.
Breakfast here is what you’d expect. Very neat, not fussy, and the room is spacious and was kept clean and meticulously stocked by an ever-​present breakfast attendant, who never smiled. She rarely engaged in conversation other than to move out of the way of a customer while being asked. However, the food was hot, if not standard, and it was filling. Perhaps my favorite thing was their separation of fruits, and how fresh they looked. The waffles were delicious like always. There were two types of bread to choose from, and a bunch of tiny muffins that were ever so cute. You have cereal, juice, biscuits and gravy, eggs, and sausage. There aren’t massive quantities at one time, so if you come a little late you have to wait a few to get fresh food.
If you get/​want wi-​fi here, don’t depend on it. It stuttered and started over and over again, and was in general slower than molasses. I tried it on two separate devices, my iPod and my netbook, neither of which show any inclination of being slow on any other public network. There is a password, but if you can turn your cell phone into a hot spot, do so. Also, I don’t know how often they check their business center computer for working, but the thing requires the patience of a saint. The mouse barely works, the computer expresses how slow it is, and on its main search website you can see people were looking at adult movies, which begs the question of how many virus are on it. The desk in there needs to have the drawer removed or glued, because it’s not even sitting straight and falling apart. However, I am imminently grateful their printer works.
If you like the pool, great. It closes at 10, sort of. I don’t know how they check if anyone is in the pool after 10 or not, but if you like to sleep, don’t get a room next to the pool. The fitness room, though small, is adequate for an average gym go-​er, with cardio and free weights in the room.
It’s proximity to things such as a decent gas station and food are big bonuses.

Stayed for a quick one night stay before running the Ragnar Relays out of wickenburg. We were impressed with the ease of check in and the overall cleanliness and quality of our room. Complimentary breakfast was generous and good; plenty of choices to satisfy our herd of runners. Overall, a great stay.

Stayed here for one night while road tripping in Arizona. The location is very convenient. There is free parking which is always a plus. The front desk staff was pleasant. I got a very good rate so I feel like I can’t complain much. My only complaint would be that the walls are quite thin and I could hear the TV and conversation of the guy who was staying in the room next to mine, nothing a little background noise doesn’t drown out. The hotel is clean and well kept. Free breakfast is served every morning in the lobby. Also free wifi which works fast.

The hotel was great. The front desk folks could have been a little more pleasant, but overall they were ok. My room was very comfortable. The bed was great. Flatscreen in the room with several HD channels. My room overlooked the pool and where I parked my car. There are several places to eat and fuel up if you need to. The hotel is very close to the highway. The free breakfast was very good. The wifi was free and fast.
My only compliant is not with the hotel but with the way the Choice Privileges handled my stay. Due to the fact that I booked my stay using points (10,000 points) my stay did not go towards my account. On this entire trip I stayed at different Choice Hotel chains. The Choice Privileges people should be ashamed by not allowing me to have my points and credit for this stay. Nothing against this hotel, but this is the type of treatment that makes me want to avoid any Choice property ever again. Lesson learned Choice Privileges folks, I WILL NOT STAY AT A CHOICE PROPERTY EVER AGAIN IF I’M BOOKING WITH POINTS!!! Because of this, I do not qualify for the free night promotion that Choice is currently running with their Choice Privileges program.

For the price $ 74 tax included you can’t beat this place. It’s not a 5-​star hotel, but it is the best bang for your buck. Especially if you’re on a budget. The front desk girl was very attentive, helpful and let me check-​in early. It is safe here, close to the freeway and quiet. It’s walking distance to ihop. So my son’s happy, lol. The rooms are nice and clean. We had 2 queens and non-​smoking. We loved it! They have a nice continental breakfast. Make your own waffles, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, coffee, oj, apple juice, crereals, toast, muffins, yogurt, etc., There is also a nice fitness center and pool down the first floor hall. I recommend and would come here again!!!

Stay here while coming to spring training 2013 it offers easy access to freeway. Rooms are clean but staff did not clean room upon request and had to make unnecessary trip for extra towels. You will not find much food or anything else around the area but price and access to freeway makes it convenient.

It was dirty. They need to have a better cleaning staff. Carpet in room had a big patch in it and felt sticky. They never emptied the trash and looked like the floor in the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned since who knows when. Too many other places in the area to stay that are better. I’ll never stay there again.

Considering the low price, this place was a amazing. Convenient — not much of a neighborhood, but who cares? Large, comfortable, attractive rooms — quiet! Lovely staff, comfortable beds, good wi-​fi. Didn’t try out the pool but it was always empty and looked inviting. I’ll definitely stay here again!

Decent as far as Comfort Inns go. Not the greatest neighborhood. The staff was very friendly and the housekeeping respected my do not disturb sign the entire week I was there:)

A DUMP! I made the mistake of booking this place because I thought it was a HAMPTON INN… and it was close to my business location. It looks like a hampton in on the website and the picture depicts hampton inn… any how… unsafe, dirty, untrained staff… the management couldn’t give a clam about this place… I got my rental car broken into the first night and when I told the fornt desk to contact their security and make a note they said I should call the police… like it wasn’t their problem… housekeeping never cleaned my room and I had to ask for clean towels and shampoo when I got back to the hotel… if you book this place and give them your money… well… then you are to blame… stay away from here because they should be out of business… to top it off… my conforter at Comfort in had a nasty blood stain or looked like a blood stain… who knows what kind of crap happens in this hotel… but cleanliness is not one of their strong points to say the least… NEVER AGAIN… NEVER…
