The Construction Zone, Ltd. is an Arizona based corporation. We employ a group of committed architects, designers, and craftsmen who design and build the finest contemporary architecture in the state. Our company provides professional services including architecture, cost estimating, turn key design-build services, and general contracting.
Our construction division provides pre-construction services, contract document preparation, permit expediting, and complete general contracting services for some of the most talented architects in the country.
The Construction Zone has distinct divisions including, architectural metals, concrete, cabinetry, glazing, and specialty structures. We self perform the trades that require finish level craftsmanship. For a select few contractors we perform this specialized work as a subcontractor.

History
Established in 1992.
1992 | The Construction Zone ltd. was formed in Phoenix as an «architect owned» design and construction firm with the goal to build architecture through a process that didn’t sacrifice quality or design intent. Company founder Andy Byrnes developed this philosophy when he was building homes, while attending the Tulane School of Architecture.
Phoenix Arizona proved to be the ideal location to plant roots, because of its’ abundance of talented regional architects and its’ openness towards modern architecture. In Andy’s first year in Phoenix, he was already working towards his contractor’s license, while establishing relationships with local talented architects.
From the beginning, the Construction Zone has focused on two main models of construction; the first providing an in-house design/build process and the second being an «architecture friendly» general contractor. The second method is unique because the construction superintendents at the firm have almost exclusively been architect
