My husband bought me a Living Social coupon from Cupcakes by Christal for a dozen cupcakes at something like half price. About a week later I checked out the website to see what they offered, but called the business number from the coupon. There was a hurried, pretty unprofessional message identifying the business and saying that if you want to get through to them to e-mail. That’s weird for a business to not answer a phone. But she said the e-mail only in the beginning of the message, so I went back to the website and e-mailed through there. I said I had the L.S. coupon, gave the coupon number, the items I wanted and the date I wanted them. The next day I received a reply attached to my e-mail that was one sentence–«we don’t have a living social coupon and we’re booked that day.» No greeting, no «I don’t know what you mean,» no apology. Just that sentence. My husband went back to the L.S. site and copied the coupon and attached it to the previous e-mails and said, «This isn’t you, because here’s the coupon that has your business on it?» The next day there was a reply attached to this e-mail saying, «You’ve got the wrong girl– see my name is spelled Crystal not Cristal and I do graphics. «As I said, it was attached to all the previous e-mails concerning cupcakes. We’re waiting for a refund from L.S. and would advise anyone looking for cupcakes to avoid Cristal/Crystal or whatever her name is today.
