Desert Liquidators

If you are redoing a house, or you need an inexpensive door, or random little knickknacks around the house, this is the place for you! I bought a door for $ 20. It’s not the best store, it’s not the worst store, but it’s a door. Kind of like finding a needle in a haystack. Never found what I needed (I’m more into a bit more upscale vanities, furniture, etc), but definitely suggest if you need to replace something and you don’t have a specific style in mind– you just want to save $$.

We stop in here from time to time to take a look at the items they have in as it seems to always change. This time they had large area rugs and had we known when we were looking a few months back we would have stopped in here first. Oh well. If you are looking for barstools, bar/​restaurant equiptment this is the place to go!

Yesterday I received a phone call from the owner of Desert Liquidators apologizing for the phone incident that occurred in my previous post. He graciously offered to allow us to return the tile and grout for a full refund, as well as provide us with store credit towards a future purchase. I am speechless. I truly thought my review would go unanswered and I was accepting of the fact that the tile and grout were now ours. While it was not a big deal, we could have used or sold the tile and grout, it was more the customer service I received over the phone that I was disappointed with. The owner apologized for his employees’ behavior and I could tell he geniually cared about his business and his customers.
I was also pleased to learn that Desert Liquidators is a family owned business and I believe in supporting local, family owned businesses, so I will happily change my initial review based on the follow up from the owner. Well done Desert Liquidators.

I’m a recycling kind of dude. Remodeled my home from the studs in with material almost 100% purchased on Craig’s List, EBay and salvage shops. This was my 2^nd trip to Desert Liquidators and it went same as the first. High hopes followed by disappointment. My 1^st trip was several years ago an it sure seemed like the stock was the same.
Prices are only good when compared to undamaged, new material that can be returned and/​or has some guarantee. When I buy these kinds of materials I need 75−90% off retail because of the risk having to make damaged stuff work is expensive, not everything is going to work out. Like the review for the warped sink legs, it’s only a deal if you don’t include your time «fixing» it.
The really sad thing is why so many things have no prices. I was going to buy a bunch of pots and pans and things for staging a house… but no prices. I guess you’re suppose to drag everything in the store up to the counter and ask? A bunch of table tops I thought I could turn into kitchen counters… no prices. It just isn’t worth the hassle unless you happen to stumble into that one exact thing you’ve been looking for.
There were some unique items, no prices of course, but not enough cool items to be worth a trip based on the prices on things I saw marked, like tile. My next stop was Floor&Décor where I saw several examples of tile for less $$$.
I went though everything outside and inside and no employee said anything to me.
Don’t think I’ll venture a 3^rd visit.

I will never go back. What a waste of time driving all the way out there. The place is in shambles and every thing is very unorganized. Friendly service? not at this place I waited patiently to speak to someone and later asked for a manager when the lady who was making me wait stated she was the manager. Not very friendly and didn’t help answer our questions. After visiting other big kitchen and bath places in phx and scottsdale I noticed there prices are really not lower. More like a gimmick to get people in.

We are currently remodeling both bathrooms, kitchen and dining room and are certainly in need of the best prices in town… and we found them! We needed a large formal rug for our new dining room and found a beautiful 6’X8’ for $ 69.00, travertine trim pieces (3 boxes) for ½ the price of F+D or Home Depot, a new French Door, and two bathroom doors ($ 39.00 each). The staff were very helpful and I was able to speak to the owner as well; all were very nice. I think the only draw back of the place is that I found it a bit dark sometimes but overall it was wonderful.

… Stopped in today looking for bathroom fixtures before we stopped at Home Depot to purchase a utility sink we had our eye on. While I didn’t find anything to take home for the bathroom, we found the exact same utility sink for $ 40 less!!! I would have given 5 stars but once we got the box home we realized the legs were warped out of place. Luckily, my husband is pretty handy and can heat it back in place. We should have checked prior to leaving, but having never been there before, maybe possibly informed that we should open the box because it might be defective??? At any rate, I did find a tub we liked so once we’re ready to move forward with that project, we’ll be back AND more informed to check, double check and triple check the product before leaving.

This place gives me anxiety.
It’s just not my cup of tea I guess.
Sorting through random fixtures and items for the home just isn’t my cup of tea. I did find the people working there to be friendly and very helpful tho!

This place is LEGIT! The owner and employees are nothing but friendly and helpful. The prices are so good, you’ll think you’d died and gone to heaven! They have a wide variety of upscale products at amazingly low prices. This place is a hidden gem. I purchased two gorgeous wall sconces brand new in the box for $ 26!

If you are looking for a good deal for bathroom vanities, toilets or sinks this is the place to visit. I ended up saving about $ 500 on my vanity.

My husband and I absolutely LOVE Desert Liquidators!!! We have been remodeling our home and trying to save money. After going all over the valley looking for bargains, we made most of our purchases at Desert Liquidators because their prices could not be beat.
We purchased new kitchen cabinets (paid about $ 4,000 everyone else wanted over $ 7,000 for the same cabinets), kitchen sink (paid $ 149, same model retailed for $ 600), backslash tile (paid $ 2.49sf, same one retailed for $ 4.99sf at Home Depot), and porcelain wood grain floor tile (paid $ 2.49sf, other similar tile retails for over $ 4.00sf). Our home is being remodeled for a fraction of what everyone else was charging; and the stuff is high quality — really good stuff!
Also, I got some really nice huge clay flower pots for a third of the price everyone else is charging.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place! And it is always fun to pop in to see what new goodies they have gotten in stock, which we do often. Actually, as soon as I finish up a few things around the house this morning, I will be stopping in today. I am putting together a new art studio and hope they some things I can use. Fingers crossed! :)

As someone who spends a lot of time buying home improvement stuff, I have a pretty good handle on prices. I felt that there were not many deals to be had here. e.g. they had a big display of bath vanities; the quality on some was very average and the prices were absolutely no better than you’d get by buying a similar item at one of the big warehouse stores or online. They had a big selection of commercial kitchen equipment and that is probably more their niche. I’d suggest to anyone coming here looking for their home, first make sure you know what stuff really costs before you think you’re getting a deal here. the no return policy is also something to consider. e.g. toilets in open boxes were about $ 10 – 15 cheaper than the Depot but with the no return policy and having to dig around in their warehouse to find it. I’d spend the extra $ 10 at HD for the convenience of being able to return it if something’s missing or whatever.

Looking to start a new business? Remodel a kitchen or bath? Just find a unique item? Desert Liquidators is your place. We scored some vintage mid-​centry modern looking dining chairs there today. We only needed a couple and they were marked $ 25 each, but they gave them to us for $ 20 each since the bottoms were missing a couple little pieces. This place is huge and has everything including several kitchen sinks! The staff is also helpful and friendly. Check it!

This place is a gem if you are willing to be a little creative and possibly come back a few times because you never know what you will find. While we were remodeling our house we were in need of a new bathroom vanity so I thought I would stop by here and see what they had. They have a lot of items from restaurants which didn’t appeal to me but they had a decent selection of vanities. It was hard to track someone down to help me and I will say the lady was not very friendly but she did let me switch counter tops so I got exactly what I wanted. The pieces are a little banged up so you have to put a little tlc in them but once I did and the price that I paid for it made it well worth it. Next time we do any remodeling I will be sure to stop by here again

Really, they don’t have it all. I’m calling for used restaurant equipment and they don’t even have some of the most common and useful items that a restaurant would need. I’m talking about Metro Wire Shelving. Seriously, it’s everywhere! DL won’t sell parts for them. What a bunch of bull. If I buy from them I have to buy a whole set of shelves, supports and parts. I guess they are not what I read about on the other reviews.

This place has it all! and if it does not have it today, more than likely they will have in within the week.
Ask the guy behind the desk about what you want instead of spending an hour looking through the inventory. I only mention this because there is almost an acre of inventory. Haha

Do not go here for small wares! I walked in and being educated on these things I knew what I shoul pay for the few items I had. I asked the worker to price the items for me and she priced everything (that is used) the price you’d buy new and some items even more than that. She ultimately wanted 80 $+ if I added it up and I should have been charged 40 $ max. All the other used equipment place are not only cheaper but when you inform that they are high balling you they always ask you to offer something, nope she said «well» and went to her office. That’s unfortunate for them because we could have been lifetime customers.

Ever since moving in to my apartment, I’ve been slowly (I mean, sloooooooowwwllyy) accumulating furniture and accessories to finish off my home. One of the last pieces was a set of bar stools to tie up my dining area. Already I knew I wanted something lightweight and wooden, and have been eying the exact ones at Target hoping for the price to come down, as well as visiting my neighborhood consignment shop. Alas, no luck on either front. Then I came about an advertisement for Desert Liquidators in an insert of the New Times. My weekend was planned.
DL is a mammoth warehouse and as previously pointed out has ample amounts of remodeling supplies. Some were so gorgeous I considered buy them just to have as art. And the marble soaking tub would have looked fabulous on my balcony. But wasn’t why I came here. Upon entering, we immediately spot some retro styled bar stools. Not what I was looking for at all, but nonetheless a good looking pair of chairs. After working our way through the entire warehouse, we discovered the only other bar stools were boring as all get out, so we went back to the front to price the funky stools. At $ 49 each, it seemed very reasonable (this is essentially the same price Target wanted for a wooden stool) and honestly the metal alone is probably worth the cost.
I found the dopest swivel bar stools here this weekend. The two weigh as much as I do, which make moving them into my upstairs apartment a bit of a pain, but once I polished the brass bases up, it was well worth the effort. But now I have a place to pull up to the bar with a guest, eat, drink and be merry.

Honestly, I was being selfish, and held back on reviewing this one for a long time. Now that the cat’s out of the bag, here goes.
I was in need of a freezer cart, and saw one of their ads on craigslist, advertising restaurant equipment. I thought I would take a shot, and see if they had one.
Sure enough, they had the perfect one, plus a few other possible contenders. Not only that, the place was jam-​packed with used commercial kitchen equipment — ranges, ovens, freezers, gigantic woks, deep fryers — everything, and marked cheap.
In addition, there were tons of old tables, booths, small utensils, china, and heaps of randomness that I could not even describe. Sure, a lot of it is beat, dirty, and worn out. But there are gems within.
Also, there are what I assume to be construction leftovers outside. Just crate after crate of travertine, marble, granite, sandstone. Perfect for small jobs like a bathroom or a patio. I picked up two slabs to use as pizza stones ($ 2 each), and I got the pizza peel there too.
If you happen to go, and see something you like, find out if they have an auction coming up. I ended up buying my cart through the auction, and it saved me about $ 30.
There it is. Hope you’re happy now.

Last summer, I needed some tile on the cheap, I am talking really cheap. My budget was minuscule, but my my tastes were not.
I found Desert Liquidators on Craigslist. Yes, there are more than creepy personals & people selling stained couches on there. I went down to their building around 17^th St & Washington to see what they had. Well, I was pleasantly surprised. They had really nice travertine & marble for great prices. They also had nice glass back splash tile sheets for dirt cheap.
In addition they had some bathroom vanities that I was eyeballing, but sadly they were not in my puny budget. I ended up picking beautiful white & great 18X18 marble tiles. I got a great deal, & left very happy.
The one reason that they lose a star, is when my tile guys went to pick up the marble, they gave them the wrong color. When the tile guys got back to my place, I had to send them all the way back to get the right tiles. It was a simple mistake made by an employee, & they made it right.
This is a local family run business. They liquidate building materials, restaurants, bars, beauty salons, furniture, office buildings, and all other business assets. So next time you are looking for a great buy check with them first. They need to get a website together for sure, but I strongly recommend going down in person to see what they have, since their inventory is always changing. It’s pretty cool. Plus, who doesn’t love a smoking deal?
