Criminal Bonds

Criminal bail is any bond that covers a city or county court case within the state of Arizona. During the booking process, a bail value is set for the defendant by the city or county based on the particular charge. At this point, the defendant or his family and/​or friends can post bail to secure the defendants release. This will allow the defendant to remain free while awaiting his court case.

Immigration Bonds

Immigration Bail deals with defendants arrested as undocumented immigrants/​illegal aliens. Immigration bail is a fereral bond, rather than a state-​level bond. The defendant will, in most cases, deals with the Bureau of Immigration and Custom Enforcment.

Federal Bonds

Similar to Criminal Bail Bonds, Federal Bail Bonds deal with federal court cases in which a defendant is dealing with a crime/​court case which falls under the federal court jurisdiction. Most crimes fall under the very broad jurisdiction of state courts. Crimes such as robbery, assault, traffic violations, Etc. Fall under the jurisdiction of state courts. Crimes which involve the United States as a party, or cases in which federal laws in violation of the U.S. constitution are committed, fall under federal court’s jurisdiction.

The bail bond system is designed to release a defendant from jail for the duration of his or her court case.
