Econo Lube N’ Tune & Brakes

Update to the last review. The «manager» of the store was supposed to issue a credit for the bulb that they put it to «fix» the problem. He charged me again instead of crediting. I called the next morning and he argued with me, telling me that there was no way he could have done that. After searching thru yesterdays paperwork, low and behold, he admitted that he double charged me. And proceeded to tell me that I was a rude lady. Ummmmm, really? for checking on a double charge??? Told him I was at the bank getting the charges (all of them) reversed) he hung up on me. I then received a call from a number I didn’t recognize. IT WAS THE OWNER OF THE SHOP CALLING TO HARASS ME!!! Told me he was going to call his lawyer and take me to court LOLOLOL. For what? I told him to bring it on!

This shop is poorly managed! I went in for an oil change and tire rotation on my Fiat 500 and the manager told me over an hour wait for the tire rotation due to 2 other cars on the car lifts waiting for parts! They also charged me $ 7 in shop fees which was double what C&R Automotive charged me in the past! Avoid and go elsewhere like C&R Tire Shop!

This place is running a scam. They are selling discount cards for $ 30 each that include service discounts and 3 free oil changes if you pay for tax and disposal. They partner with Super Saver Auto Care that sells these cards. The only problem is that when you try to make an appointment they will not schedule you one. The cards expire in one year after purchase. We Bought two of these cards that expire on Jan. 31. We have only been able to get past the gatekeeper for three of our six oil changes so far. I’ve heard every excuse in the book for not being able to get in. I’ve even been asked if I’m going to buy anything then they can get me in. I’ve been told they only take two a day and there booked for two months out. They only take them Mon. Through Thursday until 3:00 I believe they said. The manager said hey I have a boss to answer to. The last time I got in I had to tell them I would buy high mileage oil to even get in. The manager made it sound like they were busy, when I get down there they only have about two cars in the rear garage and they are all standing around smoking. that tells me that they would rather do nothing rather than accommodate a customer. Even if you tell them your card is going to expire they Don’ t care. So they break their legal agreement to provide service, that constitutes fraud on their part. Plus they’re rude on top of that. This is clearly a shady business model and I now wouldn’t recommend taking your car there at all. I t looks like they just blow people off until their cards expire. I was in the automotive business for many years and have come across people like this in places I’ve worked. They are rooted out for very poor customer service, or worse. We called Super Saver as well and they Don’t care either, so once they have your money it’s bye bye. I wouldn’t recommend buying anything from them either. There are lots of honest places to take your car, so stay away from the bottom feeders that sell false promises.

OK I purchased a coupon card from this location and then read the Unilocal reviews and was a little hesitant to use it. I mentioned the reviews upon arrival and they assured me that it’s resently under new ownership and rest assured my car would be in good hands. I got an oil change and my brake lights fixed. Everything with the car has been golden since with no problems and no oil lights like mentioned in other reviews. They did the job quickly and at a resonable price. My next visit will not be hesitant.

In April 2013 I took my car in for an oil change. I was told that my radiator hose probably needed to be replaced. I spent about $ 50 on a «test» for leaks. I was told that it was seeping and needed to be replaced. Turns out the screw was loose on the cap, hence the seeping. Thank you Ron at AAA on Thunderbird. You bought me another year of time before making this major repair. In June of 2014 I had to get a new radiator and hoses.

** NEW OWNER from the older reviews ** I got stuck far from home with coolant pouring out of my 11 year old babied BMW. This was the nearest shop place to stop for help. THESE GUYS ARE AMAZING! The shop was busy, it was so hot (110) and I was stressed. My husband was just laid-​off and this couldn’t have happened at a worse time for us. ANDY the service advisor really went out of his way for me. The guys pulled my car in fast and determined that the coolant reservoir was badly cracked. Andy searched websites for the part — BMW factory part was appx. $ 240/​cost! Nearby store with an «after-​market??» parts were $ 160/​cost, another around $ 100, and another $ 81/​cost. He requested that the store with the $ 81 part please send it over right away… their eta was about an hour. They welcomed me to a cool drink and a much appreciated cool waiting area. While I was waiting, I was watching the guys… they weren’t messing around. Andy was amazing! It was so hot. He was busy on the phones, with customers, back and fourth with cars and trucks with a smile on his face the entire time. His demeanor and kind words calmed me down in a very stressful situation. My car was fixed and I was on my way home within an hour and a half. I didn’t know that a Lube & Tune place could do everything! I met the owner, Dave Barten after he finished up doing what looked like major repairs on a large truck — what a nice man! I told him how much I appreciated their help and honest service. We got to talking, I can’t remember exactly when he took over this business, I believe it was the beginning of 2011. I will never go to a dealership again for service/​repairs out of the warranty covered time again… in fact, THIS IS MY NEW CAR REPAIR SHOP! The prices were FAR lower than what I am used to paying. This was the quickest and cheapest emergency repair that I have ever had. I can’t say enough about this small, local owned and operated business. I will be making it a point to bring treats to the guys when I am in the area, tell all of my friends, Unilocal,facebook about this business. I was so impressed and am so very appreciative.

this place is the worst oil change place you could EVER do business with. DO NOT GO! I bought a punch card off them a while back, the card was over $ 100 for 5 free oil changes and tire rotations ect. around average price. now would you call paying an extra 20 something dollars for each oil change free?
NO!!! it comes up to around $ 47 an oil change, for a 2002 honda!!!
and get this! I still had some punches on my card and I went in to talk to a manager again about why I am being charged the extra money, and just figured I would pay whatever and use the rest of my punches, BUT he said they no longer accept the card!!! so in the end 3 oil changes for a little honda came out to about $ 180, and they made excuses why they couldn’t do anything else on the card. NO TIRE ROTATIONS, NO BALANCING!!! RIP OFF!!!
why there are still in business I will never know, companies get away with anything now!

I took my vehicle there for a oil change. I drove my car for not even 1500 miles and during that time period it started running rougher and rougher. Come to realize my engine was almost 4 quarts short on oil. I had the truck inspected and there were no leaks found. The engine now runs rough and just gets rougher the more I drive it and ticks all the time with an occasional knock, normally knocking if it is not warmed up, which was never a problem before. I went back to Econo Lube and told them what happened and I was told by the manager that I should have checked my oil, and that he checks his own oil every 2 to 3 weeks. Give me a break, if that was the case I should have just changed it myself! I paid $ 49.99 to have my oil changed approx one and a half months ago or so, I have no oil leaks, as well as 2,500 miles to go on this oil change according to Econo Lubes sticker on my windshield. So at that point I was told my the manager that maybe my engine is just burning oil fast. Okay there is no way I could have burned up 4 quarts of oil or so that fast, not to mention my truck doesn’t burn oil and my engine was ran beautifully prior to this. Also if it burned oil u would smell it and smoke would be coming out of my exhaust. Well with today being Friday, the manager said he will see if there is anything they can do about it and let me know Monday. So I guess I will see. I will will keep this posting updated! In the meantime, BEWARE of this company!

I had the exact same thing happen to me. I have been to several different places to have my oil changed but this is the 1^st place that my oil light came on after the oil change. I WOULD STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE!!!

So I brought 2 different vehicles here for a basic oil change. The «oil change» light came on with both cars after driving only a few hundred miles!
I change the oil in the buick every 3,000 miles, rarely do I see this light come on.
I change the oil in the trailblazer every 7,000 miles, never have I seen the light come on.
What did they do to both of my cars?
Don’t have your cars serviced here!!!
Who knows what they did or what kind of oil they put in my cars…
