Enchanted Island Amusement Park

A nice, smaller, older amusement park that is busy, but less hectic than the larger theme parks. It is fairly priced, you can buy single tickets for rides or an all day pass. Season passes are available also. My 3 year old always has fun here and asks to come back often. She likes the train, carousel, bumper boats, airplane ride, and car ride. There are height minimums so there are several rides she is still too small for. I would say it is the perfect sized park for preschool aged kids to have a great time without the insanity that comes with a trip to a major theme park. It seems to be the best for kids ages 3 – 8. Birthday parties can be held here and you have the option of bringing in your own food or purchasing a food package — most seem to bring in food. The park area outside the amusement part has lots of grassy areas and water with ducks. People have parties on the grassy areas too and rent bounce houses for the kids.
Neighborhood is near downtown Phoenix, once I saw a lady walking around with what appeared to be an electronic monitoring bracelet around her ankle, but it still feels like a safe place to take your family because there are always lots of people (adults and kids) around. Large parking lot too. Free, but does fill up.

Visited this Mini Amusement Park on Easter Sunday, they have a huge egg hunt for the kiddos every year.
I’d say perfect for ages 3 – 8, there is a carousel, a train that you can ride around the park, food, ice cream, etc. Absolutely a fun afternoon with the family. .I’d stay for at least a few hours to make the prices worth it.
Just don’t go when it’s super hot, there’s barely any coverage (besides by benches/​food)

Horrible customer service at the ticket booth. Went today for the special to celebrate my daughters first birthday. I arrived at the gate with $ 15 in hand for myself, husband and mother. She asked how old the baby was and I told her today was her birthday and she turned 1. Her only words were «so she gets to pay $ 5 to get in too!» You’re kidding me… right? If i came yesterday she would have been free? Who charges for babies? They have no recollection of what they’re participating in, much less that kind of rude response for a baby on her birthday. We took our money elsewhere and I will never step foot near your greedy gates again. Even Disney land is free until the age of 3.
Money grubbing and rude. Volunteers clearly don’t care about proper customer service. Disgusting. We gave our money to a frozen yogurt shop. But nice try in trying to pilfer an extra $ 5 from a babies first birthday. Should be ashamed.

This place is horrible. Literally horrible. My husband and I walked in with our 3.5 year old girl and started laughing. This place looks like they bought 7 rides from a broke down amusement park and put a fence around it and called it a park. The splash pad is a joke. Dirty. Small. Not at all what we expected! Asked for a refund and they said yes but charged us for the one ride we went on. The merry go round. Lol
Do not waste your time and money!!! $ 37 for two adults and a child … You’d be better off playing in a grass with a hose and running around in circles.

Best birthday parties ever for the 5 to 6 year olds. Complete birthday packages or just show up early and grab some picnic benches early and buy individual ride tickets or all day bands for the kids. A Phoenix classic.

My 4 and 6 year olds love this place. There is a train, carousel, small roller coaster, bumper boats and a few other rides just for these ages. The lines are minimal and I just sit on nearby benches while they navigate the rides themselves. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because it is a bit pricey. But we go using a POGO pass, which gives them 4 all day passes (along with entry to many other fun places) for a great price.

Thought this would be a great place to take my 9 year old and my friends 2 year old, sadly, the rides didn’t cater to either age. My 9 year old was too tall for most rides and my friends 2 year old was too small to go on rides alone (which adults weren’t allowed on) the splash pad was closed even with warm weather, so in the end, $ 40.00 and 3 rides later the children left disappointed. In conclusion, this place is overpriced with limited options.

We had a blast during our recent visit to Enchanted Island. This small amusement park is a long-​time Phoenix fixture that still has a lot of entertainment value left in it. It’s located within Encanto Park, a City of Phoenix public park.
A few cautionary comments are in order:
Enchanted Island is showing its age, but you won’t mind if you take a nostalgic view.
It’s small and oriented toward smaller children. There’s not much to do if you’re age eight or older, but it’s perfect if you are five or six.
Go ahead and pop for the $ 17 unlimited ride wrist bands. Rides require 2 – 3 tickets each, so tickets do not go nearly as far as you’d think. Plus, repeat rides are a must if lines are short as they often are.
Rides include a train, a carousel, bumper boats, airplanes, helicopters, a dragon coaster, water pistols, spinners, cars, parachutes… that’s about it. Mostly vintage. All fun. There is also a snack bar on the premises.
While you’re at Enchanted Island, don’t forget to wander about Encanto Park. Lots of bridges, fish, ducks, swings… enough to hold the attention of any little one.

Located right in Encanto Park sits Enchanted Island. A small amusement park right in downtown Phoenix! I had my nephews and nieces in town visiting me so I was looking for things to do.
This small park has no admission fee and is reasonably priced per ride. It’s about $ 1 per ticket and rides range from 3 – 6 tickets. I would guess there about 10 – 12 rides perfect for children 4 – 7 including a cute train that takes you through a small section of Encanto park, a cheap looking Carousel, Airplanes that go in a circle that seemed to not be working properly as they didn’t go up and down, and a very small puff the magic dragon roller coaster.
They offer face painting for $ 2 and there were a couple of concessions stands for food and drink that we skipped.
The park is staffed by teenagers and older men. Not the least bit friendly. Lol. Maybe a little scary looking. (I’m not judging! Just sayin!)
My 4 year old nephew and niece had a fun time! It was kind of a melt down for the 2 year olds.
Saw a few birthday parties taking place and it seems that you can bring your own food in.
If your in the area I would suggest checking it out.

in a bad part of town, a little ghetto/​and old rides from 60’s but kids have fun.

Enjoyed our time here with my mom and siblings. My mom had a company party here which is good for private parties such as; birthdays for kids and private company parties. We really enjoyed their pedal boat rides and their train rides. I would bring children ages 1 – 11 years old here but this place wouldn’t be good for teenagers because the amusement park is catered to younger kids.
One negative comment I have to make about their facility is their bathrooms. They really need to renovate their restrooms to make it inviting to use. Their hand dryers weren’t working, actually only one worked, there was paper towels on the floor, the floors was wet, and their toilets weren’t cleaned where you sit on, which made it difficult to use. Whoever is in charge of cleaning your bathrooms, should probably take a closer look. It’s pretty disgusting. That’s the only negative side of the park, everything else looked fun.

It is what it is. My three year old had a blast at a friends’ birthday party. He couldn’t ride everything because he was too short for some of the rides but he was smiling and laughing ear to ear on the rides he went on. Are the rides old? Yes, but they seemed to be in fine working order and frankly, it didn’t matter to us because we had a blast. The ride attendants were fun and engaging with the children for the most part. As a parent, my joy was watching my kids have fun. We’ll be back.

Had a birthday party here today for my son and nephew are hostess was never around when we needed her they lied to me about the price of the party i had to pay more then what was said when i called to make reservations my kids had lots of fun i had asked for a cart or something to use to bring all my stuff in to the park and they told me no but they lady next to me that was having a party was able to get a cart for her stuff i had to make a lot of trips to take the stuff to are party area but as long as my kids were happy thats all that matters but i will never ever do another birthday party here again

Big park.
They have paddle boats, little choo choo train to ride around the park in, a few amusement rides such as carousel (the fastest one I’ve ever seen), carnival type airplanes, dragon coaster, very tiny bumper boats for toddlers only, and a couple games.
We had pogo passes so it was cool but I probably wouldn’t pay $ 17 to ride the rides for an all day thing.
However the park was nice too.

We Had my son’s 1^st birthday party there this past Saturday and it was awesome! We had a host (Kylie) and she was amazing, made everything so much easier for us. We also had them provide the food for us and everyone loved it! Thank you to ask the staff that helped out, you guys are the best and we will defiantly keep coming back.

This place has seen better days! We walked the entire Amusement park in two minutes. $ 5.00 to use the splash park??? I thought that was ridiculous, since its free in my town. We wanted to let my daughter ride the water ride, which I saw online, but apparently that’s only in winter, and they replace that out with the splash park. My daughter was too young to ride any rides other then the train, which would have ended up costing us around $ 15.00 just to ride it. We ended up not buying any tickets to ride the rides. But beware, the tickets I believe are $ 1.00 but each ride takes multiple tickets to ride. Seemed like a nice place for my daughter to try out her first ride, but after seeing the rides, we opted out. The only thing we wanted to do was the train, but it wasn’t $ 15.00 worth!
The park around it is pretty awesome, though. You can rent paddleboats, although we couldn’t because my daughter was too little.

This poor amusement park needs help! The environment is melancholy and sad as though the park is slowly dying. Suggest maybe offering splash pad for free to draw in more kids. Staff looks miserable and is not friendly.

This place is definitely geared for younger kids — the best would be in the 42″-54″ sweet spot for these rides. I would say ages 3 – 7 would get the most consistent enjoyment.
The rides are basic carnival rides. A mini roller coaster, spinning cups, planes that you can control the height, another that spins and lifts you as part of the ride, a circular car ride, a carousel, etc.
These aren’t heart stopping attractions and really don’t bill themselves as such. The construct of the rides seems fine, all except the spinning cups had some kind of lap belt/​restraint. Sure the rides are older, but I didn’t see a single kid give pause because of this.
There are height restrictions, on both ends, to most of the rides so it’s best if the kid has some independence. Too old and the rides are probably a bit mellow.
However, my kids had a blast. We got the family day pass. I know one review mentioned that prices were the same for all, but that’s not true with the bands. Over 54″ pays less because there is less that they can do. Since you can pretty much walk onto any of the rides, my kids were at under $ 1/​ride as they rode everything between 2−5x.
Face painting for $ 2. Splash pad to cool off (no bumper boats as the bumper boat area is the splash pad area filled up).
We questioned if we would get our $ 10 adult worth on it, but the castle water canon game was surprisingly fun for us adults as well and getting blasted with water felt good on a warm day. We did that a couple of times, the train 2x, the spinning cups more than either of us wanted and the carousel 2−3x. Overall it was worth it to enjoy that with the kids.
They have «everyone wins» amusements for $ 3. Just large inflatables, but not that unreasonable for $ 3 and my kids dug them.
Pack a picnic for the park to save a little money, although the snack bar isn’t unreasonable.
I wouldn’t count on the arcade — the screens are faded beyond belief. If you wanted an arcade there are better options. The photo booth could use some instructions to let you know that there isn’t a prompt and that your photos can take about 5 minutes to print.
Staff was friendly though and accommodating. We saw workers washing the benches around the park and overall the place was clean.
Don’t hold what this place isn’t against it. Understand what they have and what ages it works best for. Find that wheelhouse and you’ll have a great day. We enjoyed it through our kids who didn’t make it 10 minutes out of the parking lot before falling asleep, inflatables still in hand.

Good for kids 7 and under. We visit on days where the weather is nice and cool — easier on the kids. Very small but cute amusement park for the little ones.

I cannot believe the terrible reviews that this little amusement park received! I almost did not bother even coming here because of what I read but because they are one of our pogo pass venues we decided to try it out anyways and am very happy we did. It is mainly for children 54″ and under which I thought was great! Usually it’s the other way around and there are barely any rides for my 5 year old because he does not reach height requirements. The rides were fun and the best part about it was there was barely any wait! The only reason I gave four stars is because it was a little run down! We love this little gem inside a beautiful park and will definitely return again for another day of fun :)

This place is not as large as they described it online but the Park around it is enormous compared to parks here in California. The 3 stars is because of the surrounding park. Without it, the Enchanted Island is a fair 2 stars. The park is clean with little to no garbage/​litter. The Enchanted Island itself is not so enchanted. I can see where it is the «Go To» location for locals to have their child’s bday party. They have several picnic areas to accommodate. Their rides are just eeehhh. They had about 3 – 4 rides available for my 17month old Son. Their tickets are $ 1 each and rides cost about 3 – 4 tickets per ride. The bumper boats were a bust. They didn’t charge the motors so they had a worker in the water pulling and pushing the kids manually. Lol.

Unfortunately even today that my daughter 7 yrs old, this place is still quiet disappointing. It kinda has this «death trap» vibe where you feel unsafe leaving your kid for even a minute. The rides are wonky, peeled paint and seem to feel like mobile carnival rides. Many of the people that go there come across as a bit ‘shady’ and the park just all feels ancient. Wish this place would get updated and some TLC. Unfortunately for some kids, this place is like Disneyland… they just have no idea.

After spending $ 65 to get in we rode all 5 rides we could and decided to have lunch. After spending $ 25 for drinks and snacks as we are walking away from the cashier window my 2 year old split her cheaply made Styrofoam cup trying to pick it up in front of the cashier who refused to replace it but I could purchase another at full price $ 4… seriously? I will not be back…

Well… take this for a grain of salt as seen through the eyes of a grown up and not a kid’s…
This place saw it’s prime about 20 years ago — literally. Every ride looks like it has been revived from the farthest reaches of the 1980’s. In fact, this park is better suited not as a fun place for kids, but as a setting for a movie where the penultimate chase happens in a long-​forgotten and run-​down amusement park. I think there was a Liam Neeson movie that ended like this, actually…
Don’t bother with the all-​day passes, as there are zero rides that the kids might want to ride more than once.
We got there right at 10am on a Sat, and so there were no lines at all. The whole ambiance kinda felt like what Michael Jackson’s personal theme park might have looked like if he were galavanting about on his own. I really can’t imagine waiting in any sort of line for any of these rides. They are all very disappointing, and, well, lame.
So says my 5 yr old and 7 yr old.
The highlight was the soft pretzel from the snackstand.
Save your money and don’t bother coming here.

Every time we go here we meet some one different! Saw spider man here! Got professional pictures printed quickly and autographed. We met an saw an Indian dance tribe who preformed and had a lovely time at the cinco de mayo celebration. There was a piñata for the kids, live music and dancers. Staff is always friendly. There are a few rides that and a splash area. Great for kids!

We recently took my 6 yr old niece. Nestled in a beautiful park with lots of shady trees it looks like its going to be cool. But once you get in you realize the rides are old and faded and all the shade seems to be everywhere except where you want it – by the rides. It would be best if you go during the cooler weather.
We went through all the rides in about 45 minutes. The red baron planes didn’t all work. There were no bumper boats or pedal boats or canoes. One teacup ride looked like it salvaged from a 1929 amusement park.
My niece settled on the dragon wagon and the splash park to kill more time and make it worth the cost of admission. The splash park was nice because it had a shady picnic area and misters that luckily no one was using for birthday parties.
All is offset by the cheap cost of admission. So you get what you pay for. If they could just modernize the rides i would give it more stars.

This is our second time here and although our two boys were excited, there were aspects I was less than thrilled with.
First of all they charge the parents full price for an unlimited band and there are very few rides a parent even needs to go on.
Secondly, all the employees looked miserable and had snappy tones in their voices. I understand that doing this job may be frustrating at times because it’s redundant and you’re dealing with other people kids but hey, that’s the job.
Thirdly the bumper boats were a huge let down. All they did was go around in a circle… they were so much so the opposite of boats that the attendant was knee deep in the water dragging the boats around so the kids could experience some sort of aquatic experience.
On a positive note the weather was nice and the kids don’t fully comprehend how less than stellar the quality of the rides are.

It has been FOREVER since I have been back to this park — at least 25+ years. My how it has changed. The rides itself, I’m pretty sure are still the same exact ones that I rode when I was a child. But the place has cleaned up well. We were here over the weekend for a friends birthday party. The reserved birthday areas were spacious and clean with plenty of private picnic tables. The unlimited rides were also great. I think it’s funny how the sign in the park gives you a list of things that are no permitted in the park and one of them says «No Pitt Bulls».
