Epic Escape Game

This was very fun! My husband and I were grouped with 6 people we did not know but that did not matter. Everyone was friendly from our group to the staff. We plan to go again and try another room.

Our first two Escape Rooms were at a start-​up passion project down in Tempe (Escape Zone AZ), so I think our group was a little spoiled. Epic Escape Game is more commercial. Puzzles are given to the group one after another in series instead of parallel, the rooms aren’t nearly as detailed (ex: items hidden in plain sight), and the game masters don’t seem really into it (for example, when a clue is requested, the answer is given straight out and not as an in-​character hint).
We did the Fortune Teller, which is probably fun for a bunch of kids or novices, but it was a little too easy for us. Our group escaped in 40 minutes (whereas in other Escape Rooms we were literally down to the wire due to the intricate nature of the puzzles). I hear the Dracula room is harder, but I’m not sure whether it would be harder because the rooms are more detailed or just harder because each sequential puzzle is more confusing.
Overall, we may be back to this Escape Room if we find another discount, but there are far more detailed rooms out there that I would prefer to visit first.

I have done over 10 escape rooms in the Phoenix area and Blood Thirst ranks #1 (Sleuth Box is a close second) in my opinion.
The room is large enough for 8 people and the décor is very good. I base my ratings on the look and feel, as well as the puzzles and creativity. I don’t think you will be disappointed in trying out this escape room.
I’ve also done the Fortune Teller and it was decent. The décor was nice in the first part. I felt like they phoned it in on the second half. The puzzles were ok. I would not recommend this room to others. Might be a tad small for 8 people.

This place is awesome! We came here to celebrate my friend’s birthday on a party of 8. My friend bought a groupon and made an appointment. After we checked in, there was a briefing and instructions, they’ll give you a wireless phone and a clipboard with a pen. They’re very nice and professional here. Solving puzzles and putting clues together with friends is a memorable and fun experience. We did the Fortune teller room, I’m not going into details but it was interesting! If you’re lost or can’t figure it out they’ll give you hints or you can call using the wireless phone. Tip: Watch out for a groupon to save money.

Wonderful experience! We did Top Dog! Great fun once we got the hang of it! I got a Groupon so we could try it out. Well worth it. I would recommend at least minimum 4 people to solve the mystery. It was just two of us, my 13 yo daughter and me, and if you don’t really know what you’re doing, it makes it quite a challenge. Time was up when we had 2 clues left. The more people you have, the better you will do. But, I would highly recommend! Staff was also very helpful and friendly. Guy at the front desk was super nice and even let us stay in the room after to finish the last 2 clues. I want to go back with more people and try the Whimsical Library!

Our group had 5 people in it, plus another couple we didn’t know. We were pleased that everyone was involved in solving the mystery of the Whimsical Library. We finished with less than 5 minutes to spare but we made it!
We enjoyed it enough that we are planning on going back (maybe tonight?) to try another room.

I went with a few coworkers and and we had a blast. The staff all seemed to love what they do. They seem to have thought of everything. I’ll definitely be going back!

We came across a groupon for here. Having never done this my wife, sister in law and brother in law had a great time. We were paired with a couple of other couples. They were friendly and energetic. The rooms were cramped with 8 people in them. The fortune teller was challenging but they help you with some clues when you get hung up. We made it out with 4 minutes to spare. Friendly staff. Would do this again.

In Phoenix on vacation with my dad and three children (9,13,15 yrs old). The forecast was for hot weather so we booked an escape room to avoid the heat. It was our first escape room experience and we loved it! Top dog was super fun and perfect for my animal loving family!
They have locks to practice opening in the lobby, which was perfect for my kids who haven’t seen many of them before.
Did I mention we escaped with 53 seconds to spare? If we find ourselves in Phoenix again, we’d definitely come back!

We came here with a large group and had a blast. The room was challenging but fun. Definitely worth checking out.

So incredibly fun! I bought a groupon for my mom for Mother’s Day and we had a blast. The games were very challenging and the team building aspect was great. I will be back with more people!

We had such a fun time celebrating my husbands birthday! I did not think I would really like this type of thing but after going I can’t wait to go again. We did the four tune teller and it was awesome. We completed the room with only a few minutes to spare. It made us think outside the box and really work together. I can’t wait to go again and try out another room. The staff was amazing and made it so much fun!

Went with 6 others for the Whimsical Library– We escaped in 57 mins and had an awesome time! The rooms are fun here and well appointed. This one is a mission so you are NOT locked in. So if you have a friend that says «No way can I get locked in a room, even if it’s a game» Take them to this one. They won’t be freaked by the idea of being «locked in a room». This was such a fun time. By the way, Staff at Epic are awesome– Thanks everyone!

I had never heard of anything like this until I came across a Groupon for it. I loved every second of it. I wish it lasted longer then an hour, that is how much fun we had. The fact that it is inside an old house adds something to the whole thing. We did the Blood Thirst game and even though it was difficult it was fun trying to figure things out. I want to go back and try all of the other rooms now! This is a must try for anyone looking to try something new and fun.

Huge props to Epic Escape Room for a professional, well organized and enjoyably run escape room! I’m from Los Angeles and I’ve played over 28 different rooms. I can say with conviction that Epic Escape Room is part of the elite tier of escape rooms that are challenging without being frustrating, clever in concept, AND exceptionally professional in execution.
I was visiting family in Phoenix and I wanted to introduce them to my new obsession. My 12 year old niece was with us and I was pleased that the themes of the rooms were family friendly and the front desk person even commented how there is nothing in their story lines that encourages «stealing», «killing» or anything that wouldn’t be considered family friendly.
We did «Top Dog» and was told that it is the easiest room with the highest escape rate. Even though we escaped with 19 minutes left, we in no was felt this room was «easy». There were definite stumpers until we had the «aha moment» and I was more than delighted that the 12 year old niece made several discoveries and solved a few puzzles.
I must underscore again how professional the feel of the whole company was. From the entry room/​waiting area/​reception desk and helpful reception, the sample lock tables and merchandise for sale, the conference room/​photo area to celebrate our success and discuss our experience without concern that we’d spoil it for those in the waiting area, and the fact that there is the option for two rooms to compete against each other in identical rooms, Epic Escape Room has so much to offer for individuals and groups alike looking to experience this fun new adventure. Congrats on a job well done. I hope to return soon!

Purchased the groupon with 4 other friends and family. The experience exceeded our expectations. I would definitely come back. We walked in a bit cocky, thinking we wouldn’t need any clues and beat the existing record. We used all three clues and finished with only 5 minutes to spare. The staff was super friendly. Highly recommend!

I took the family here after buying a Groupon. We did the Top Dog theme. It was a lot of fun and the kids enjoyed the game as well, however there were a Lot of clues to figure out. We did get help 3 different times due to getting stuck with what to do next. Some of the clues didn’t make a ton of sense or didn’t logically follow from one to another. Overall, we did enjoy ourselves and finished literally as the timer expired. We may come back to try another theme in the future.

We came out for my daughter’s 21^st birthday and had an absolute blast! Only my 14 year old son has done something like this and he talked us into it by how much he enjoyed it.
We did the Whimsical Library. Thank goodness for the occasional clues given to us or we would’ve been dead in the water early on.
The highlight was finding The Book of Fun with literally 1 second left on the clock! No kidding, we solved it in 59:59.
What made it even better was the staff was super excited for us and expressed their anxiety in the last couple minutes of our time. Too funny!

Just got done with this AWESOME place, and, have to brag, we did it with 3 seconds to spare, granted we had a total of 5 hints, but hey, that’s not too bad.
We were set to do the Whimsical library, and at first that sounded a bit boring to me, and not my thing. But I reassure you, the whimsical library is amazing! I highly recommend it. The location and the building its in is really cool. You gotta check this place out! We had a blast. Definitely better than PanIQ Room.

Epic Escape enabled us to host an epic event for our 2016 kick-​off and team building event. One of the best corporate team building events I have ever facilitated (and I’ve done a lot). The staff, Ron & Salvador were so helpful and accommodating during the planning process and the event. The benefit of have two identical rooms for teams to compete for time combined with a large conference room with white boards made it an ideal venue to host a business meeting while still providing the team with an awesome team building experience. Everyone who attended had a great time and really enjoyed the challenge and fun!
