Established in 1993.

We have made our sincere attempt to design restaurants, commercial buildings and residences throughout the Valley that have come to represent our local community and environment with a durability, timelessness and distinct identities. La Grande Orange Grocery, Chelsea’s Kitchen, delux, and Arrogant Butcher are a few of our restaurants. We’ve had the pleasure to be a part of properties such as the Royal Palms, Camelback Inn Resort and Spa, the Hotel Valley Ho and the Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort and Spa. Shaping the Valley’s office spaces, we are also proud to have partnered with Recruit​ing​.com for their headquarters.

Business Owner

Shaping Valley architecture for over 20 years as principal and licensed architect of hayes inc., Catherine’s award-​winning projects include inspiring residences, offices, retailers, restaurants, resorts and shopping centers. She leads the design studio through a collaborative team effort; servicing the clients from design through to final construction. Focused on enhancing our built-​environment, Catherine and her team are currently helping clients successfully re-​use many existing commercial buildings as well as creating new enclaves of small, elegant homes. Catherine graduated from University of Illinois, Champaign-​Urbana with her Bachelor of Architecture and experienced her program abroad at L’Ecole Des Beaux Arts at Versailles, France. She was recently acknowledged by Arizona Commercial Real Estate (AZRE) magazine as part of the People to Know Class of 2015, along with AZBusiness magazine’s most influential women in Arizona for 2014.
