History

Established in 2014.

I am a mother of three who for a long time used disposable diapers. Like many parents, I was blinded by what I truly was doing to the environment. One of my friends came to me one day and asked, «do you have any idea what is in that diaper?» Of course I didn’t know. It is made for your baby, so how could it be dangerous? I did some research and found that in one year, one baby consumes 300lbs of wood, 50lbs of petroleum feedstock, and 20lbs of chlorine through their diaper. GROSS! After finding this out I was determined to switch, and in my efforts in finding the right brand with the right price I came across an even more economic and baby bottom friendly way to produce diapers. In finding this, I realized I could sell them at a very small cost to save parents money, and then use the profits to spread the word and help people — and that’s how Hipster’s Cloth Diapers came to be. And all that I need is the help from my fellow moms to support our diapers and grow our cause.
