My fiancée and I had an issue with a Tacori wedding band from a different jeweler (it’s a long story: see the Capri Jewelers Unilocal page to read my review) but Hyde Park stepped in to save the day! We have been working with John M. and he has been coordinating with Tacori to get the issue solved in a professional, timely manner so we will have the wedding band by our wedding date.
John M. literally fixed the problem, even though the other jeweler caused it, just because he felt like it was the right thing to do! Without a doubt, we will be coming back to Hyde Park for all our jewelry needs!

I began the process of searching for an engagement ring about six months ago. Someone very close to me had bought a ring from Hyde Park a couple years prior and spoke very highly about the experience. I live in Chicago, but I had met the sales associate, Erik Rominger, during previous visits to Phoenix. I reached out to him earlier this past fall and told him I was planning a secret weekend trip to Phoenix to pick out a ring.
My fiancé, Sarah, had a very clear vision of what she wanted — oval diamond, pave halo, yellow gold band — so I was speaking sincerely when I told Erik that I knew «exactly what I wanted.» Being new to this, I hadn’t considered certain details, like how gold metal around a diamond can make a near colorless stone appear yellow, or the dreaded «bow tie effect» that can occur in oval cuts. More importantly, I feared Sarah hadn’t either. I also didn’t anticipate a shortage of ovals in Arizona the weekend I was visiting!
Erik to the rescue. He knew this trip was my one shot to select a diamond in person and design a ring without Sarah suspecting anything. He scrambled and tapped all of his resources, and was able to have two beautiful oval diamonds shipped from Denver in a matter of days. Phew. I made my selection and was thrilled. But it was Erik’s patience and guidance over the next six weeks that really made the whole process memorable. After agreeing on a custom design and returning to Chicago, I probably changed my mind about 15 different times over the 6-​week period from selection to final product, never failing to email Erik with each and every concern. He was an absolute pro in helping me navigate all the subtle but important choices, while ensuring that Sarah was going to get the ring she wants. He was there for me every step of the way and delivered an absolutely perfect ring. Sarah could not have been happier, and neither could I.

I stopped in recently to get the metal band adjusted on my Omega. I called before coming and was told that to do it, their watchmaker would charge me $ 20. That’s fine, I figured that it would be better to have a professional adjust it for me than to mess it up possibly trying to do it on my own.
When I arrived, I realized that there was a watch event going on. They had The Capital Grille cooking out front, there were all the 2015 model watches in stock, and they had an actual watchmaker there. When I went to the service desk, the gentleman took my watch and found a way to adjust it without removing links. This way he wouldn’t have to charge me.
After that, he walked out and took me to meet the watchmaker so I could ask him a few questions about my Omega. It isn’t one that is seen too often now days and I thought he would get a kick out of seeing one. Anyway, we had a nice conversation about Omega movements and the popularity of the Swiss Valjoux 7750 movement before I departed.
I rarely purchases watches in a store. Normally, I buy them online from other aficionados on reputable websites. But to me, Hyde Park showed itself to be a welcoming and well-​stocked jewelry and watch shop. I would definitely stop here first if I was looking for something new or wanted to try on some of the new model watches.

About eight months ago, I began the search. Finding the perfect engagement ring isn’t easy, and if you’re extremely particular like some of us, it’s only more difficult. After looking at pretty much every halo engagement ring ever made, we settled on a Ritani. In order to see Ritani rings in person, though, you must go to a select few stores — Hyde Park being one of the two stores offering them in Arizona.
Enter Erik. Mr. Rominger greeted us about four months ago when we first entered Ritani. Brooke, my fiancé, had a specific ring in mind, but it wasn’t on display in store. So, Erik had that ring and another similar ring that we liked shipped in within a few days. Upon seeing both, Brooke couldn’t decide which she liked more, so Erik suggested we have a custom ring made… perfect!
The custom ring process allows you to pick out exactly what you want regarding every aspect of the ring. Furthermore, you get to see a computer rendering and make and changes, then you receive (and get to keep!) a wax mold of the final product, and finally the final product. This process took, I’d like to say, about six weeks and was worth the wait.
From wax approval to final product, there is roughly a two week wait. To fool Brooke, ensuring a surprise proposal, I contacted Erik and had him tell her it would take longer. He followed through perfectly and she was completely shocked when the time came.
Ultimately, Erik was there to answer any and all questions and needs I had along the way and got me a great deal on a spectacular ring. I, we, couldn’t be happier. Thank you, Erik.

Great selection of watches! Didn’t buy anything today, but Tammy was great! I’d buy a watch here any time. She gave me a Breitling 2015 book, was very knowledgable and personable. Can’t wait to make a deal here down the road. –Gabe

Like every hairy-​chested ogre lucky enough to convince a beautiful woman to hang around, I was out to buy a diamond. THE diamond, amiright? Now, I am a very disciplined shopper with zero interest in high-​pressure sales tactics and gimmicks. I like doing my research. Hyde Park was actually the 4^th jewelry store in my quest for all that sparkles, and I am quite pleased I stumbled in. The experience, overall, was as enjoyable as spending all your savings on a rock can be!
But seriously, Erik picked up on my no-​nonsense mission the first time we shook hands. And I made him wait for at least a month before I came back. After all, I had follow-​up research to do on cut, clarity, color, carats, AGS, GIA, and other inquiries necessitated by being Type A (or at least a solid B+). Eventually, after a few more visits, we settled on the perfect stone. I was, and still am, very happy with it.
Thereafter, every time I came back, we made progress on the custom setting. My soon-​to-​be fiancé (fingers crossed) was not necessarily picky (because she’s an angel, duh), but she was particular in what she liked. I was very thankful Erik and Kerry (the wizard who made the setting) remembered what she said from the time we came in together, many months prior. Erik showed me a plastic mold of the custom ring, and after a metal casting, then another mold, I was done making minor changes and received THE ring I have today. It’s pretty much amaze balls.
Bottom line, I was helped rather than hounded, and it felt more like a service than sales. I will do more business there.

This past December I was on the hunt for an Omega with the day date feature. While owning several Rolexes in the past I was somewhat new to the brand.
I was greeted upon entering the showroom by a gentleman by the name of Erik. He was diligent in showing me only the watch I had inquired about. This is something very few salesmen will actually do. As most will attempt to pressure you into a more expensive brand or model you didn’t want in the beginning.
Needless to say this was a smooth transaction and the start of not only a great business relationship but a friendship.
Since my initial purchase I’ve gone back to purchase several watches from Erik. In addition to locating watches for my collection Erik played a vital role in securing an engagement ring for my fiancée and I. Something which is not an easy task to do alone as the diamond world is overwhelming.
Yet, with his help and using my fiancée’s Pinterest board we were bale to locate just the right ring. While it was beautiful ring I did ask for a large size to be brought in. Well, as you know the larger the ring the more $$$. Once again Erik was honest with his opinion and stated the slightly smaller ring was far more stunning than the larger and more expensive ring he had flown in.
In closing, do not hesitate to make a purchase from Hyde Park. All of their staff has been over the top with their customer service to my self and fiancée.

I called about having a strap swapped out on my IWC, was asked if I purchased the watch here and I told them I had not since I moved from out of state. The staff member I spoke with told me no problem and to come down. Was surprised when I made the trip to be told by the gentleman at the service desk that there was a $ 20 charge.
So I went down the street to ED Marshall where they changed out my strap for free and I bought the GMT that I have had my eye on. It’s never a good sign when a jeweler wants to nickel and dime you, and I’d rather give my business to a jeweler with an appreciation for customer service.

My wife and stopped in after shopping a competitor. In contrast to the other store which was extremely rude, Hyde Park was very welcoming and helpful. The service was terrific and they treated us with respect. The store offered to ship in several watches that we were considering, all at no cost to us. I can honestly say we were so impressed that all of our jewelry shopping will start here from now on!

It is probably fitting that my first review after several years on Unilocal is for the jeweler for THE ring. It takes a lot for me to put effort into actually filling out a review, and I am glad this is finally what pushed me to the other side. My experience with hyde park, particularly with my sales associate Erik, went above and beyond my expectations and I left their store a spectacularly satisfied customer.
This is a place where you know there are no gimmicks, and each customer is treated fairly and with respect. My fiancé (as most do) had her ideal ring picked out and ready to show me. Erik was very patient and willing to work with us to get a ring that we could afford and as close to the original and the result was perfect. The prices are reasonable and fair, but the customer service from Erik and the rest of the staff is what truly sets this jeweler miles ahead of the rest. Thanks so much Hyde Park — we will definitely be returning in the near future!

We came in looking for an engagement ring with minimal expectations. We had just recently started the process of looking and I am typically very indecisive, so I explained from the start that we were only looking. Eric was great — he was very personable, didn’t push anything on us, was respectful of our budget and actually found many ways for us to get more bang for our buck. We ended up designing our own ring which allowed me to get exactly what I wanted. Eric was so knowledgable, kept us updated and informed each step of the way, and made the process so fun (even for my fiancé). I just got the ring and couldn’t be happier. I would definitely return here in the future and I recommend Hyde Park Jewelers (Eric specifically) to any of my friends.

We searched for months for the right engagement ring. I was not impressed at all the big name jewelry stores. I ended up at Hyde Park Jewelers at the Biltmore shopping center. I was prepared to be disappointed again with over priced pieces and poor quality. I was pleasantly surprised. Even though the store has a great selection, Nancy went out of her way to make sure the diamond I was looking for was there for me to view. I chose to have my ring crafted and have not been disappointed. It’s not a build your own from a selection they offer, like you see on-​line. It’s an actual person that creates your jewelry by what you design or request. The customer service has been wonderful. Nancy answered all my inquiries and has kept me updated through the whole process. Wish we had started out at this jeweler. I will continue to be a customer in the future and recommend this jewelry store to all my friends.

Went in to look at a matching wedding band for my Tacori engagement ring. The man that helped us was nice while we were in the store and was going to reach out to Tacori regarding a few questions we had. He honestly wasnt overly knowledgeable about the brand, which was fine since he was willing to contact Tacori directly. We never heard from him so we bought the Tacori wedding ring elsewhere. I don’t know why he didn’t call us… I can’t imagine him thinking we were not serious given I already have a Tacori engagement ring with a diamond that is well over 2 carats. Oh well. Their loss.
On another note, I’ve had my ring cleaned in their store and the designer specifically says that their rings are NEVER to be placed in Sonicare. When I mentioned this to the sales person he had no idea. So much for authorized retailer.

Its a really nice place. This bad experience is partly our fault for showing up 5 minutes before closing. We were not planning on buying that day. The service was ok but rushed and told us to come back as they were closing. I understood but when you are talking about a high end purchase you would think they wouldnt rush you out the door. Well we went to Jared who was open until 10pm. Again we were not planning on purchasing. However the service was so great and they helped us find the perfect ring that we made the purchase. I wonder if they know we were that ready to buy if they would have rushed us out the door.

In today’s economy where most businesses try to provide the least and charge the most, I feel that it is necessary to give credit where credit is due. Thus, I’d like to give a shout out to Hyde Park Jewelers in Phoenix, and specifically, Quinton V, one of their sales associates. Quinton made the engagement ring and wedding band purchasing process extremely easy and very low pressure. He is very well informed and was great at teaching me all about diamonds. He spent an hour with me the first time I walked in the store and never pressured me into buying anything or spending more than I wanted. I ended up with the perfect engagement ring. Fast forward five months and we went back into the store to buy bands. Again, Quinton was very easy to work with, put us both at ease, and provided us with several options that fit our budget. We walked out less than an hour later with the perfect band as well. I appreciate businesses that go the extra mile to make sure that customers are happy with their purchasing decisions and take the time to inform them without pressuring them during the process. If you are looking for a quality jewelery store without the high pressure sales environment, go to Hyde Park and ask for Quinton. You won’t be disappointed.

What started out as a simple attempt to find a perfect birthday present turned into a life-​long relationship with a fantastic jeweler.
I wanted to get my fiancé (girlfriend at that time) a simple diamond pendant necklace for her birthday and could not find anything that even came close to matching her style. I searched the internet for days and reluctantly went into a few jewelry stores hoping for the best, but expecting the worst. I, like most people [guys] out there, had a bad feeling in a few stores I went to. Pushy sales people looking for the upsale, and sky high prices. I was getting very discouraged about the process, but that all changed when I came to Hyde Park.
The super friendly staff made everything easy for me. There was no pushy sales process or anyone trying to upsell me something I didn’t want. They immediately offered me a bottle of water and started to talk to me like a real person. After a few minutes of speaking with a very lovely woman in the store she suggested we think about something custom. At first I was thinking «here we go; this is where I am going to get stuck!», but I was all wrong!!!
We looked a few loose stones and I got a great education about diamonds. I went home later that night and did some research on the internet and found that the prices we as good, or better than any of the big online retailers. I could never get my head wrapped around buying a diamond online, sight unseen, and I am so glad that I found Hyde Park.
In the end I have used Hyde Park to create a custom pendant diamond necklace that my fiancé absolutely loves (it is perfect on her), and I also used Hyde Park to get the diamond for the engagement ring, as well as everything else to follow.

I picked out an amazing diamond for the engagement ring (chose the loose stone again) but had no idea what kind of a ring my fiancé would want. So Hyde Park said «how about we just put it in a classic Tiffany solitaire setting as a temporary setting and then after you give it to her, you can come back in together and pick out the perfect setting and wedding band set». I was like, seriously?!! You can just do that???
In the end Hyde Park will be my jeweler for life. They helped me create the perfect simple birthday present, and took that service all the way through doing a custom engagement ring and matching wedding band set. This is the jewelry store for any guy who wants great service, great prices, and like me, doesn’t have the first clue about how to make the perfect decision. Just let Hyde Park take the stress out of it like they did for me!

I recently took my Movado watch in for repair. I was disappointed to hear it would have to be shipped out, but I was gauranteed it would be fixed within a few weeks. The man actually doing the repair emailed me with a cost estimate and had me sign off before they began the work.
The watch was repaired, but it took much longer than I was promised (almost 6 weeks). In addition, after I got it home and inspected it I noticed it appeared as though they had left it in a cleaning solution for to long. The inside was tarnished and it took several polishing wipes later to get the stains off.
For the price I paid I would have expected a higher quality of care.

Their services and staff are incredible.
I needed a simple repair done on my Movado and where everyplace else I went said I had to leave it and they had to ship it somewhere, Hyde Park’s staff was able to take care of the issue right then and there.
Their jewelry selection is very different and unique as well.
Top of the line offerings and top of the line staff.
They treated me well and with the utmost respect.
I will be back to them agiain and again.

Great friendly service here which was quite a surprise at the Biltmore. I’ve had negative experiences at other merchants so I had reduced expectations for a jewelry store. Outstanding selection of brand names for timepieces including Chopard, Breitling, Rolex, and more. They were very willing to show me several pieces without much prompting. I can’t stand places like Ben Bridge that seem so reluctant to take out a piece for closer viewing.

So it looks like I’m reviewing jewelry stores today. I came here with my perpetually broke but quite bejeweled friend a few months ago. I will say that any jeweler with a sales lady who practically begs me to try on a $ 140,000 diamond ring and gives me a bottle of water is 5-​stars in my book!
