Jim P. Godfrey is the founder of JPG Security Consulting (JPG). Jim is a former Police Officer who has served as a Law Enforcement Trainer, DARE Officer, Media Relations Officer, Crime Prevention Officer, Regional President of the Crime Prevention Association and was awarded «Officer of the Year» in 2004. He was also an Adult Safety Facilitator in the corporate environment.

Jim is a Military Veteran and served in Desert Storm. He has a Masters Degree in Adult Education, which allows him to easily translate his safety knowledge to the public.

Jim always ensures to speak one-​on-​one to all of the individuals that support JPG Security Consulting. In addition, he believes that providing the public free home security systems with discounted monitoring rates will make the world a safer place for everyone. Jim has been featured on local television and radio broadcasts sharing his knowledge about today’s security systems.

My experience with JPG was nothing but pleasant! JIm, the owner is very personable, knowledgeable and as a former cop really knows his stuff. He was very helpful and thorough and I felt well taken care of.
Nick did the actually install and he was also awesome-​super friendly, courteous and careful.
I highly recommend these folks if you want to feel like you are getting personalized service and attention and not just another customer.

Read so many great reviews that I was skeptical. But for me, they do deserve a 5 star review. Courteous, on-​time, thorough. Great price. Saving $ 15 a month by switching from ADT to JPG. What I expecially like is that if you have a problem, they’ll come check it out for free, unlike ADT. We got an updated key pad, additional sensor and two additional motion sensors for no out-​of-​pocket cost. I really like that we can activate our system using smart phone, especially if I forget, I don’t have to turn around and come home, etc. Jim gave me several ideas about other things to do to increase security. Just overall they seem to be a great company and nice to deal with.

Very pleased with Jim and his Professional Installers. Jim is a former Phoenix Policeman and knows what it takes to protect your home. Jim made the quote and installed two days later. His price is very competitive and you won’t be disappointed. I searched Unilocal in PHX and Jim had over 89 reviews on JPG Security Consulting and figured I couldn’t go wrong. I am really happy with this company. We’ve been dealing with a ton of different companies this month as we just bought our house and I wish all of them were as professional and personable as JPG. Jim came right on time, was knowledgeable and gave me a great deal compared to ADT. ADT wanted to charge per window, and their pricing was several thousands more than JPG. We have this cool iphone app to turn our alarm on or off and my fiancé feels safer already. Thank you Jim.

I can’t believe I never reviewed JPG! I was just pulling their information to recommend to a friend that was broken into last night and noticed that… Well, it was a crazy, stressful time when we used them, so that is understandable.
Our current house was in escrow and within a week of closing, had been broken into and the refrigerator stolen, as well as the brand new pool vacuum. When we moved in we did not feel safe, especially knowing that the locks needed to be changed ASAP. We called JPG and he came out to assess the existing alarm system, which was not functioning. He recommended how we change it out and made sure that we were comfortable with the choices. The alarm was installed and we felt much safer within days of contacting him. In addition, we had him install wireless thermostats that we can control through the
system app. It’s so great to be able to control the alarm remotely and your t-​stats. I plan on having more alarm monitored smoke detectors installed at a later point. Last note, the monitoring company does a good job and calls you with any alarms and from my research is a common monitoring company used by other alarm providers.
Give these guys a call! You will feel safe and won’t be disappointed.

Jim’s background speaks for itself. Vince did a very good job with the install. My home was wired for a security system but I had never installed one. The system is easy to operate which is important to me since I am not very good with electronics. My wife is at ease now that we have the proper protection when we are home or out of town. It is nice to know we can arm and disarm the system from our smart phone and we can set extra codes for family and know who comes and goes from our home. The nicest part is the cost was less than all the competitors. I did not want to by a cheep system and I like the Jim backs his product personally. Thanks JPG.

Another Unilocal success! So happy with my new security system. Jim and his team are wonderful! The instillation was fast and the tech was super knowledgable. I didn’t get a chance to meet Jim face to face because of my hectic schedule but he was so accommodating over the phone (even when I was running behind and he had to wait on someone to get to my house). Jim walked me through everything over the phone, gave me many options and was always on the line to answer questions. He is very knowledgable and personable which is just what I was looking for!
Alarm is officially up and running and I feel more secure than ever with our new system. I am so happy I went with this company and will recommend to all.
After a break in on Christmas I didn’t think I would feel secure in my home again, so greatful for JPG and would happily pay double what I do for the peace of mind they have provided!

When I was looking for a security company to install a security system in my new home I checked Angie’s List. JPG was #1 in my area. I still wanted to do my due diligence so I made appointments with a couple companies to come out and give me a quote, including JPG. When Jim from JPG came out I had already spoken to a couple other companies. Jim was far above and beyond the others that had come out. No high pressure sales or talking negative about other providers. He visually inspected every sensor in my home. He explained why his company was different and also did a demo of the mobile app. He even answered my non-​alarm related questions regarding safety in my new home (I found out he was a prior police officer after reading other reviews and watching his TV spot). I told Jim I was leaving town for the holidays in 3 days and if it would be possible to get my system in asap. That wasn’t a problem as they were there the next day to get my system installed and ready. All in all I have already and will continue to recommend JPG for alarm services over any other company. Thanks to Jim and the rest of his crew for getting my system going.

We just had our security system installed yesterday, and we could not be happier with the experience thus far. They were extremely quick to respond to our inquiry about setting up a home alarm system, and Jim (the owner) came to our house himself to walk us through his recommendations for our particular living situation, all the while offering us great advice and information about keeping our home safe. After that, we were able to setup the installation of the equipment for the next business day. The installation was quick and easy, and so far we love the software and the mobile app capabilities. And on top of all of this, they are much more affordable than what we could find through our research of other home security companies. I would highly recommend using JPG for your home security system!

Jim (the owner) is usually the guy you talk to on the phone. He’s so nice and really knows what he’s talking about! He was a police officer and won police officer of the year! His background gives him excellent knowledge in home security. He was very thorough in his quote. I was able to schedule the installation very quickly. Nick just installed the entire system and again, very knowledgeable! They have all been so informative, polite and quick to respond. Also, the price for monthly monitoring is great! I’m very skeptical when it comes to security alarm companies. Not with JPG. With Jim’s background in law enforcement he is passionate about being a consultant instead of a salesman. JPG is the protection company you have always wanted. Most try to scare you. Heck, all try to scare you. Jim and his team are there to protect your home. Your home’s vulnerabilities, entrance points, flaws, etc. Jim knows them all. Truly, him and his team know what they are talking about. Five stars on Unilocal?You better believe it. His rating and business are more than deserved. And pricing? No one can beat him or his guarantee. Beyond satisfied is an understatement, truly.
I have found my security company. I can almost guarantee so have you. No one nationally or locally can compete with JPG. I am lucky to have found them.
UPDATE 4÷11÷2016: We ended up having a false alarm with a faulty sensor. Jim and Vince took care of it and replaced it within two hours! They also have a false alarm guarantee! If any of their equipment doesn’t work as promised and you are charged with a false alarm fee by the city JPG covers the cost! Just an all around phenomenal company.

Called and talked to Jim (the owner) about adding some sensors to my existing system at my office. We talked about I wanted/​needed but recommended that the installation tech come out to take a look to give his opinion on what the best course of action would be for my needs. He scheduled the tech to come out the next business day and check things out. After having the tech, Vince, look over my office, we discussed what I wanted vs. what he thought would be best. His recommendations saved me a few bucks as where he proposed we put sensors eliminated some of the ones I thought I needed. All my interactions with JPG have been handled in a professional and timely manner and I can’t recommend them enough for anyone’s security needs.

Jim from JPG Home Security came by today and inspected our house for a new security alarm. He was very knowledgeable and straight forward on what types of alarms and sensors our home needed to protect our family. Knowing he was previously in law enforcement it was neat to get an «inside view» of how criminals work and how we can combat their tactics.
We had previously been setup with ADT but it was setup wrong and wasn’t completely keeping us safe. Thankfully, Jim got us all setup correctly and we are glad we used him. We even were able to get a new keypad that works with our cell phone, something we really liked.
Being a business owner myself, I can really tell when an owner is ethical and trustworthy and Jim and his company definitely fit that description. I’m going to recommend him to any of our friends or family who are interested in home protection or alarm systems.

If you’re thinking about getting an alarm I say do it! We decided to wait until after the fact and I feel our lives will never be the same. My girl is still terrified to go home and I’m in a nice neighborhood! I met Jim through referral and realized right off the bat I really didn’t know much about good home security. Jim offered a lot of options and gave me reassurance of his products. And I can see inside my house on my phone! I’m super pleased with my purchase. I will be referring you to my friends. Oh and for the ones that say they have a gun or dog for protection. My big scary dog was locked in the closet when I got home (unharmed thankfully). But he loves everyone so I’m not mad at him for not attacking the robbers.

I’ve never met anyone that cares more about customer service than Jim. He is the number #1 rated home security company on Unilocal in all of Phoenix because he really cares and knows his stuff. Most of the companies have very similar technology, but it’s the customer service that puts him ahead of the rest.

While I know you can never truly be safe from crime, I definitely feel better when I’m home now, knowing that we have a solid alarm system in place. I have JPG to thank for that safe feeling!
After reading the Unilocal reviews for JPG, and hearing of more and more break-​ins in our neighborhood, I made it a priority to call JPG. Jim came out several days later for a consultation, and our alarm system was installed shortly after that.
Everyone I spoke to and worked with at JPG was friendly, customer service oriented, and knowledgeable. The technician that came out to do the installation took his time doing so, and made sure that I understood exactly how to use all of the features before he left. They use the best technology on the market right now, and while you do pay a premium, it’s worth it in my eyes.
We’ve had our alarm system for several months now and are happy with it… no issues at all. I definitely recommend this company.
