Here at los reyes de la torta we specialize in mexican food tortas (sandwiches), different types of platters served with rice and beans, hand made corn or flour tortilla quesadillas, tacos, tostadas de ceviche (shrim cooked by lime juice mixed with tomatoes, onion, celery, cilantro and avocado), huaraches, sopes, all with the south of mexico style and flavor!
History
Established in 1999.
Our story started in about 1999 selling tortas from home to our friends and family, they loved our tortas so much that started telling their friends so we rented a space at the local swap meet; our clientele started growing really fast and that space wasn’t enough. In 2001, what was just a family dream became reality and we opened our first restaurant, it was small just like our menu but our clientele kept growing and our tortas gained popularity rapidly and that restaurant is now 4 times bigger. We opened our second restaurant in 2004. Our food and style has given us awards from different local and national sources like The Arizona Republic, New Times, USA Today, Phoenix Magazine, Arizonacentral.com, and we have also had the opportunity to be part of two shows from the Travel Channel, Adam Richman’s Best Sandwich of America and Man Vs Food. Now We are very happy to let you know that we’ll be opening our 3rd location in Tempe, AZ by the beginning of April 2013!
