Purchased a couch, thought it was a great deal for a floor model. i had spent hours in the store finalizing the deal, letting them run my credit and everything. I left happy. Until i got a call not even an hour after leaving the store and they told me it had sold before me that morning. Then disappointed in my experience i call to speak to a manager who tells me it sold on the 13^th, this sale took place on the 31^st. So somehow in 3 weeks they never removed it from the floor or put a sale sign on it. This seemed too funny to me. I was getting different stories. Just shady practices all around. They called me back in to try to sell me something else but it just seemed like a ploy to upsell. So im sitting here without couches and taking a hit on my credit from letting them run it

From my experience of bed buying… We had a great time at Pruitt’s. It feels like a mom and pop shop and I always love supporting a local business.
We got a queen size bed with no problem! They come and set up the bed for 68.00…GREAT PRICE! Thanks Pruit’s, we will be back :)

We recently spent a few days looking around phoenix for some new furniture. We needed a few basics for our new place and decided to go with Pruitt’s being that the prices were great and they have so many options. We ended up with a living room set, mattresses and dining table all of which were delivered yesterday. Not a single complaint. We are still in need of a bedroom set and some accessories, and will be heading back to Pruitt’s for the rest.

Extremely disappointed in the business. Myself and my family have purchased furniture items from here in the past and have never had any issues.
We were in the Phoenix showroom yesterday and had great service from Carla. We have been looking for a small counter height table and we we’re deciding on one from Pruitt’s or another furniture retailer. We wanted to give it some thought and would make a decision. We decided to go with Pruitt’s.
I called today to check the inventory before I drove down. My first call I was told no one able to click at the moment. Y second call (20 minutes later) I was transferred to an older gentleman. I gave him the item description and the stock #. He told me he was busy and will check, but that he believes they were sold out. I asked him if he can check and call me back so I don’t make a wasted trip to the showroom. After waiting 30 minutes (with no call back) I tried AGAIN. I was transferred again to have someone check on the item. This time the man I was transferred to was able to check ASAP while I was on the phone. I was told they had 88 in stock. I explained to him how I called earlier and was still waiting for someone to call me back from earlier. As soon as I hung up the man from earlier finally called back and said how he was right on the item being sold out. Now I’m confused since I was just told they had 88 in stock. I told him how I just called and spoke with another man that was able to check the item and didn’t need to call me back 30minutes later. I even gave him the stock # again and he continued to tell me how that item is sold out. Then he said the price and I told him «no, that is not even the correct price». Then he wanted to argue with me on how I looked at a wrong ticket. I explained that I wrote it down and I took a photo of the dinning set with the stock number tag on it. I became upset and hung up!
I called back and asked to speak with a manager. I spoke with Pam and I explained the situation. She also checked the stock number and confirmed that had 88 in inventory. I told her how I was unsatisfied I was with my precious customer service… waiting for a call back when two people checked ASAP on a call and then being given incorrect information. I told her that because of this we may go someplace else.
Then my phone rings and it’s the previous man calling back… again. I told him how I just got off the phone with Pam who also verified the 88 they have in stock. I asked him if he’s given thought to how many other customers they have lost business to when they’re told items are no longer in stock and they have plenty? I told him how his customer service was horrible since he wanted to argue about the information I had given him (that was correct). He still wanted to argue. I never got his name, but Pruitt’s you can give a huge Thank You to your sales rep for losing a customer and a sale! Since this Jack wagon sales rep continued to call me and wanted to argue that he was correct (when he clearly was not) I will make my furniture purchase elsewhere. Thank You for making this an easy decision!

I was in the market for a sectional and was recommended to check out Pruitts. Very glad I did. On my first visit I was greeted immediately by a friendly gentleman who showed me upstairs to the sectionals, gave me some brief history about the business, and pointed me in the direction of what I was looking for specifically. He was very helpful and not in an overly pushy way like some sales people.
The prices here can’t be beat. I found exactly what I wanted and stayed within my budget. Other furniture stores had the couch I picked priced $ 100 — $ 200 more than what I paid at Pruitts.
They offer a flat rate delivery fee of around $ 70 or you can pick up your purchase from their warehouse off of 43^rd Ave & Washington. I opted to pick up the couch myself, and the warehouse guys were very helpful loading it in to my friend’s truck.
My only complaint is when we got the pieces unwrapped I discovered I was missing one set of the feet to my couch. I called the store and they told me the warehouse only had brown feet available and I needed black, and I would have to drive back to the warehouse to pick them up. Kind of annoying, but my couch looks fine footless ;)

This place has a lot of cheap furniture to choose from, and I think the salespeople are friendly as long as they know they can get a sale out of you. After you’ve purchased, though, forget about it. Every single interaction I’ve had with a salesperson or customer service person since I placed my order has been bad – no one ever calls back, they don’t meet their delivery estimates, they constantly make mistakes, no follow-​up. Seriously, no one cares about you here. The salesperson said we could get a certain mattress in a full size and neglected to tell us it only came in an 8 inch, when we asked for a 12 inch. So when they delivered it, we realized immediately it wasn’t the same as the one we had lain on at the store. We sent it back. This combined with multiple negative interactions with people at the store lead me to call and request my delivery fee back, as we’d also had a bunk bed delivered, but now I realized I would have to go elsewhere to order a mattress. Because they refunded the delivery fee, I decided I wouldn’t leave them a bad review. However, we were just attempting to put the new mattress on, and to do so, we needed to remove the bunk bed ladder. The men who installed it threaded the screws terribly and completely stripped them and we literally cannot get the ladder off to put the mattress and support board in. This is the crappy service that just keeps on keeping on long after you place your furniture order. I will never make another purchase at Pruitt’s again no matter how cheap their furniture is. You get what you pay for.

I had previously purchased furniture from here years ago, so when looking for a new living room set I knew I wanted to come back here. Fell in love with a set and bought it immediately. I was told that it was on back order and would be delivered around mid September at the latest. Well its mid September… and I have heard nothing. Today I call and Jessica (very nice) told me that it was due to be shipped the warehouse by October 5!!! WHAT!!! That’s over 2 more weeks with no couch. I have decided that this was a sign… RETURNING THE WHOLE SET! I am irritated and this was a 100% different experience than years ago. Lesson learned… This will not be a stop for furniture ever again! Very disappointing!

Ordered a bedroom furniture set over a month ago. It was supposed to be delivered in a week. My salesperson never followed up to let me know that it wouldn’t be arriving or delivered. I’ve had to follow up twice. Every time I call in, they push the date back of my furniture arriving in their store. The prices are great, the staff is nice enough, but take your business elsewhere. Learn from my mistake.

Furniture was great quality, delivered in a timely manner, and the employees who assisted me with my selection were great!

When I went in I was immediately stalked buy one of their sales people, they followed me in every room. I decided on a couch so I left and shopped around the valley. Surprisingly they had the best price so I returned to buy it. They delivered it two days later and on time. The reason why I gave three stars is that when I went back to buy the couch they told me it was out of stock however they were going to give me the couch another customer had ordered, therefore having the other customer wait longer to get their couch. If I was that other customer I would have been furious. At the end of the day it all worked out for me. My tip when shopping here is tell the sales person you are just looking so they don’t chat your ear off.

My most recent experience with Pruitts left me rather disappointed. My husband and I purchased a home and needed furnishings fast. I’ve shopped at Pruitts before and I was confident they’d provide excellent service. Our salesman was great. He was honest and truly wanted to help us get a good deal. I told him our budget and he was able to stay close to it. We encountered a problem with the billing team. We requested to do a split payment amongst two cards (one debit one credit). They did not follow our directions and debited we the entire $ 3000+ from our checking account, which caused us to overdraw and resulted in a huge headache with the bank. I’m now hesitant to do business with Pruitts again.

M.D. Pruitt’s is a disorganized and unprofessional bargain basement. I found a high quality sofa for ¹⁄₃^rd the price that it cost at Ashley’s Home Furnishings. The two sales people I dealt with were both helpful and didn’t pressure me.
But from the moment they had my money — everything went down hill.
When setting up delivery, I was told that I could call two days in advance and would be given a delivery window. If the delivery window wouldn’t work, I was assured it would be easy to re-​schedule the delivery.
Upon calling two days in advance, I was told that they couldn’t give me a window until the day of delivery. But again, they assured me, if I needed to re-​schedule I could do so.
On the morning of the delivery, I called for my window. They informed me that the sofa would be delivered promptly at 11. Not earlier, not later. I told the rep that this time wouldn’t work for me and she replied «Well we don’t have a lot of orders going out today, and they’re not going to go out twice.» I asked if I could re-​schedule and was told that I would be charged a $ 70 re-​scheduling fee.
I agrued with the woman on this for quite a while and ultimately asked if I could cancel my entire order. As soon as I said that — she was suddenly able to waive the $ 70 fee «just this once.»
I was unimpressed by this lazy and rude customer service. But — if I could choose between friendly staff or a sofa for cents on the dollar, I guess I’d chose the cheap sofa…

My wife and I bought two leather recliners from Pruitt’s and love them! Our entire shopping experience in the Thomas Rd store was great from the sales staff through to delivery. Unlike some stores where the sales people follow you around, we were able to shop and try sitting in the many recliners until we found the one we liked the best.
Once we found what we liked, a sales person was in the area to answer our questions and show us the available leather colors and types.
We shopped furniture stores all around the valley and found Pruitt’s had both the best selection and prices.

The Phoenix Showroom is full of a bunch of unhelpful jerks. I had a terrible experience with them trying to buy a table that they no longer had in their showroom. I told them I wanted to buy it still, but the salesman I worked with said to just go home and buy it online.
Still wanting the table, I went home and tried to buy it on their website, which is completely unfunctional and not useful at all. I called the Phoenix Showroom back, thinking that they could offer help. Boy, was I wrong. I spoke to both a man and then a woman on the phone who acted like I was interrupting them. They were both rude and practically yelled at me for not having the specific brand name (which wasn’t listed on their website), even though I had the model number. I decided I didn’t want the table enough to deal with their rudeness, so I hung up.
However, I later called the Chandler Showroom, and the salesman I spoke to there was able to order the table for me IMMEDIATELY. I don’t know if their sales staff makes commission or not, but if you decide to visit, I recommend making the drive to Chandler. Skip the Phoenix showroom if at all possible!

This place is a scam. Huge, old, smelly and rude finance people (Jessica). Laugh at you and don’t even know your situation.
I ordered a whole bedroom set and was delivered with no glides and showroom had glides.
Called to exchange, but found nothing else and returned it. They holding my money for a week. If I didn’t call and ask, they would hold for a month.
Don’t shop here…

My boyfriend & I came in looking for a new living room set. My family is coming to visit so we wanted new stuff ASAP. We found a set and they told us a date it would be in. Turns out, something got messed up & it couldn’t be delivered until a later date which wouldn’t work for us. I went back in and Bill really helped me out (he worked with us the first time too) and I found a new furniture set that we loved a million times more than the one we initially picked out! Bill went out of his way to help us get the furniture in time for my family to visit! He was great & anyone that goes in should ask for him! We are in LOVE with our new couch and love seat! It’s huge, beautiful & soooo comfy, I never want to get off of it!

Huge selection and great quality! We purchased a bookcase, and two chests. Delivery was efficient and everything was set up for us. The salesman took time to find pieces for us and told us how they were made. The quality is good-​real wood, but the pieces are still inexpensive. It is a local store and some pieces are even made in Phoenix. Great place to buy furniture without breaking the bank!

Pam, the manager at the Thomas Store, is the best! The wrong mattress was delivered from a misunderstanding between me and the sales person. I was not clean in what I wanted (yes I went over the entire conversation in my head and spotted my error). I called Pam and explained the situation. She had the correct mattress delivered the next day. The delivery guys noted I had a low profile box spring but a high profile was sent with the new mattress. They took the time to explain why I may want to keep the low profile box spring and showed me the difference. This was exceptional service! They really did a great job in keeping me happy and sleeping well in deed! Hats off to Pruitt’s and Pam!

Huge selection in a massive showroom space… The building is a bit old, but it gets the job done (watch the narrow stairs — only folks in one direction at the time).
Prices generally low with the same brands and similar quality options to Ashley and AFW.
Sales guy was pleasantly attentive without being aggressive or in-​your-​face.
They operate in a pretty old school fashion. Paper sales slip. Limited use of automation. What appears to be human scheduling of delivery (they schedule you for a day and you can call in the morning to figure out if you’re morning/​afternoon and what stop you are).
We ended purchasing a sectional and power reclining (both working out great so far). Prices were very good (same as AFW) and deliver was more than reasonable. We were able to get delivery next-​day as our stuff was in-​stock. We called in the morning as instructed and got an afternoon ETA. They showed up pretty close to the estimated time. The crew was very fast/​hardworking/​professional.
All-​in-​all it was a very good experience.

We didn’t end up buying from Pruitt’s during our furniture search extravaganza, but would definitely take another look if the time comes we’re in the market again.
The items were affordable and they had A LOT of selections. This place is Huge… and two story. I was ready to go home and take a nap after walking the entire store.
Worth a look if you’re furniture shopping.
