Our purpose is to prepare the child for life by giving him/​her a strong foundation in the basics. Hands-​on, minds– on curriculum challenges creativity as well as critical thinking skills. Academic competence is attained through incremental learning, hands-​on experiences, and extensive vocabulary building. Only through educational mastery, well developed communication and problem solving skills, and an awareness of responsibility to and for their group can students achieve the competence and personal security necessary to the foundation of their happiness and success.

We make education fun and create a warm, family-​oriented campus. Our goal is to create a safe, loving environment where children can come together, creating, discovering, laughing and developing their talents and their sense of community. Who Are We and How Are We Funded?

We are a charter school serving K — 4th grade. A charter school is a public school that has been given an OK by the Department of Education to be a school with a little different personality. Our difference is that we are a small, family-​like school. We have 110 students and 10 teachers. Our classes are small, and our ratios low. We are small for a reason — we can know and can involve our parents that way. Then we form an involved guardian/​school team for each student. We are expected to teach AZ State Standards and give the AIMS tests, like other public schools.

We use Singapore Math & Houghton-​Mifflin Reading with Charlotte Lockhart Phonics as they align well to our belief that children master skills through incremental learning, lots of hands-​on, & extensive vocabulary building.
