Mr Formal

My boyfriend was the best man at a wedding in Phoenix this weekend, but we currently live on the East Coast. As excited as he was to be a part of the ceremony, he worried about how he would coordinate his tux from so far away. Thanks to Mr. Formal, everything went perfectly!
To start, all the tuxes looked great and were reasonably priced. It’s their customer service that really shines. Per their instructions, my boyfriend brought his measurements in for the fitting. Just from looking at the paper, DJ could tell that our local seamstress had done them wrong. Instead of it being a disaster, DJ got my boyfriend a tux that fit. He offered helpful suggestions all afternoon until we found the pieces that suited him perfectly.
After all that, we then figured out that the groomsmen had accidentally picked up bow-​ties instead of regular ties. DJ to the rescue! He got us the ties we needed the day before (in the correct color and pattern) and allowed us to bring all the ties back when we returned the suits.
There are so many things that can go wrong in a wedding, but Mr. Formal helped this aspect go off without a hitch. I’m grateful to them and their expertise!

Mr. Formal tuxedos are always so clean and the latest in fashion! And the employees are always kind and helpful! My son was to model in a show on a last minute notice and Mr. Formal put together a tuxedo for him to wear in a show in a matter of minutes! They are really on their game and make sure their customers are always taken care of! I would recommend them to anyone who is looking to rent a tux for any occasion!

We rented my husband’s tux for our wedding from this shop. Was a fantastic experience!
Reasonably priced, great selection, tux was ready for pick-​up a few days ahead of schedule (really helped avoid having to run down in the middle of all the expected last minute wedding stuff) and returns were a total breeze. Hubs looked absolutely gorgeous in his tux, and the quality of all the pieces was really great. When we went to pick up the tux, there were some buttons missing from the shirt and vest, and they immediately swapped them out for new pieces — an advantage of renting from the supply house!
A real pleasure, and they definitely made the whole process fun and easy.

This place has more styles and colors then any other spot I went to! Also they actually have slim fit coats and pants available the other places tried to trick me into a baggy style and was telling me it was slim fit like I didn’t know. I am so coming back next time I need a tux or suit rental!

I work in catering, and need to wear tuxedo pants. I always get them here at Mr. Formal. Twenty minutes after going in, I come out with a brand new pair — hemmed right there. I would recommend Mr. Formal and their great staff.

They were super knowledgeable about everything needed for the wedding attire! Each time we were there, Will helped us, and he was great! He knew what he was talking about and was very professional and helpful. My husband got to try on different styles before we decided on one. The owners and staff were all very friendly and helpful. I changed my mind on colors multiple times and it was never a problem. They were incredibly helpful in making sure I got the right shade of the right color (which I did). Everything fit well when it came in plus they have you try it on before you take it with you, just in case something doesn’t fit right and they’ll fix it.
We rented 6 tuxes and definitely would recommend them! Everyone looked great! Our go-​to place for tuxedo or suit rentals! Thanks Will and Patti!

Me and my friend came to the town for our girlfriend’s prom and just a day before the prom, my friend’s suit got burnt while he was doing iron. Now, he was freaking out as he had nothing to wear for the prom. So, I called up my girlfriend and explained her everything. She suggested to go to Mr. Formal as it was the only tuxedo chain in arizona that actually provides slim fit suits for skinny guys like us and since they had local warehouse, they could make any changes to the suit as fast as possible. They had their own parking and we were greeted by a tall guy Aaron. I told him that my friend needs a tuxedo for the prom night and it should look good on him. Aaron took his measurements and showed us some tuxedos and finally after 1 hour my friend chose one. Thanks to Aaron we got what we wanted, while checking out he also told us that if the need arises again and if we are coming back to the town then we can also pre order the suit or rent it online also from
. Overall, I would say I liked the service provided by them. I am attaching the snapshot of the suit we selected.

Had to rent a suit for a funeral. Because I was out of town, I didn’t have any suits with me.
Looked on internet and came up with a couple places. Went to Mr. Formal first as it was on my way for errands. Well, I’m glad I did go there first!
They have their own parking, staff is very friendly, don’t try to sell you stuff you don’t want, they’re very professional and understanding. The staff makes you feel at home.
Prices are very reasonable and clearly displayed on each suit/​tuxedos, which are all displayed on mannequins. That gives a much better idea on how everything looks.
The suits are impeccable, no wear and tear.
I couldn’t ask anything more from a store, really.

This long over due. My good friends asked me to be in there wedding and made reservations at this location. I really liked their customer service, particularly given I returned the suit a day late. Thanks for the great service.

First impressions last… and they did. (Updated Review)
Prior to the initial review *I have only had 1 interaction with Mr Formal so far and it’s been far better than the first impressions from a lot of the tuxedo rental companies (chain or otherwise) in the area.
Patty was my hostess who provided me with a full run down of the 2 styles I liked and the color options. Unlike a store on the I17 slip road they have all the styles/​suits in stock and on dummies for viewing. Other stores seem to leave everything in the catalogue and say they will order it.
Patty ran through the pricing and flexibility for our wedding as a couple of us had pieces already and some dont.
Unlike my other experiences they had more than 1 style ready for me to try on and I felt I could take my time to try on different styles… (and colors if I wanted to).
The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and full of information. They seem more apt to help than sell which was huge. A couple ahead of me landed in Phoenix for an evening wedding only for the airline lode their luggage. Because they wanted to buy asap instead of rent (as they would be reimbursed) the staff took the time to direct them to a number of good local stores in the area they knew of. Instead as we have all experienced, sorry can’t help, no my problem.
Patty wrote everything out no pressure, all disclosures and I feel comfortable that I can return with my details and reservations to be handled just perfectly.
Update: 8 months later, 2 more visits and everything has been wonderfully smooth. We have added a few items and even had to deal with my procrastinators waiting until the last minute.

This place has an excellent collection of men’s formal wear, very friendly and extremely knowledgeable staff. I had a wonderful experience doing business with them, and they helped me to look my best. I highly recommend this place, you will NOT be disappointed.
