Paradise Palms

They don’t care about the residents, only their money. They will raise your rent too. Mine went up $ 100 in one year and they offered absolutely nothing to compensate for the increase. Don’t expect to get your deposit back too. They will charge you for repainting & capret cleaning and anything else they can find until your deposit is all gone. They also went back and charged me for the water bill from 2 months ago that had already been paid. If you have a package delivered to the office, they won’t let you know it’s there. I’ve had several that had been there for months and they said nothing to me, even when I was there in person to pay the rent.
The walls and ceilings/​floors are paper thin, so you will hear everything going on next to you and above or below you. The mailboxes had gotten broken into and it took the office over 8 months to replace the box, so we had to drive several miles to the post office, stand in long lines just to get the mail FOR 8 MONTHS. Zero compensation for that too. If you try to contact the management company, they will act concerned, but blow you off. I tried to contact Alliance Property management via Facebook and they replied like they were concerned, but then block me so I could no longer contact them. They wouldn’t return phone calls or emails too. Terrible place to live and terrible management company.

I love living at Paradise Palms! The location is awesome. We are close to shopping, restaurants and great hangouts. The neighborhood is peaceful and safe. I can go out for a run and not be nervous. All the neighbors are friendly. The staff if great. The vaulted ceilings are to die for, you cannot beat the Sq footage or the big kitchen. For a one bedroom it is perfect. I wish laundry was easier to access. I did have my car broken into but that happens everywhere.

I have lived in Paradise Palms for awhile and absolutely love everything about it! The location is in the middle of uptown, the community is quiet, the neighbors are friendly, and the staff are amazing! Leah and Tim in the office work together to make the experience awesome and the move-​in seamless! They care about people and it shows!

I’ve lived at these apartments for six months now. This is great place to live! All the units have been upgraded recently with new carpet and hardwood flooring. The living areas are very spacious with high ceilings. The living area is very open and does not feel like a normal tiny apartment. They recently re-​did the pool and added new BBQ’s. They also painted the building and upgraded other amenities. On the weekends you will find plenty of people lounging by the pool. Everyone I have met in the complex has been very nice… even the staff. If your looking to move in… Stop by the office and ask for Leah. She is super nice! She has answered all my questions and help me with the application process as smoothly as can be. I would definitely recommend moving in here if you are looking for a great place to live in a great area. You probably wouldn’t find a better place this close to the Biltmore for the price. It’s very reasonable!

I am writing this review after a month of living at Paradise Palms. My fiancé and I outgrew my condo in Arcadia. We were driving around and by chance found Paradise Palms. We were immediately attracted to the modern style apartments, and quiet complex. From initial inquiry to final move in, I have to say I am overly satisfied. In particular, I worked with Leah in the front office. Occasionally I also worked with Tim. Both were very friendly and helpful, and answered all of my questions. Leah especially, who even called me an hour after close to ensure my last minute move in question was answered promptly. Great complex, outstanding service, awesome area.

I am IN LOVE!!! I just moved into my one-​bedroom a few weeks ago and couldn’t be happier :). Tim and Leah, in the leasing office, were absolutely wonderful in every way. Leah took the time to show me around the whole complex, discuss important details (like safey), and was just a sweetheart all around. Tim, likewise, was super helpful with all the move-​in procedures. The apartment was in tip-​top shape when I moved in. I could go on and on, but pretty much, i recommended this complex to anyone looking for a solid location, amazing staff, and a cute apartment!

Being from Hawaii, I am use to smiling faces and friendly people and this is what I found here at Paradise Palms. I’ve been searching for quite some time and every office I walked into, were not very approachable and didn’t really care to help. I was coming back from the gym and I wanted to stop by to take a look at this community since I would be moving from my current apartment soon. As soon as I walked in, Leah and Tim were very welcoming and I felt the familiar aloha spirit I’ve missed from home. The apartment i saw was perfect for me and the application process was painless and easy to complete. It only took one visit and I had found my new home. Thank you to this wonderful team here at Paradise Palms!

Why is it that you always find pretty much what you are looking for but at the wrong time? I am moving out of my apartment in May so I started looking in March thinking it would take awhile and I wanted to take my time and find some place that I REALLY liked. Paradise Palms was the 2^nd place I looked at and knew right away I wanted that apartment. The problem was my move in date was 2 months away and they could not hold empty apartments that long-​completely get that! I was dealing with Tim Prunotto and he promised he would keep me in mind if another 1 bedroom came available within my time frame. Shockingly enough he called last weekend and I am getting exactly the apartment I wanted. The complex is just the right size and the units are nice and large. The living room is big enough that all my furniture will fit into it and I will have room to walk around! Large bedroom and walk in closet and plenty of additional storage. I am excited to get moved in and explore the Biltmore area! Thank you to Tim, Leah and Alliance for the great experience!

Since Alliance has taken over, there have been a lot of improvements to the property and my home. Leah and Tim in the office have been doing a great job solving all of my issues. Jeremy fixed my peephole and I can finally see out of my door, I’m so happy about that. I have been wanting a garbage can by the mailboxes as long as I have lived here (3 years) and when they came they finally put one out there… Thank you!!! My neighbors are wonderful and we have good people around us. Its the little things that matter and the staff here seems to get it all done.
I just want to say that I appreciate all that the office and maintenance does for me and my mom. I love my home and I would recommend this place to anyone that wants to find a quiet and peaceful home.

This place has its pros and cons. It’s a great area for me, reasonably priced, unit isn’t out-​dated, and it’s always quiet. However, the two management companies that have been there since I moved in have been less than honest and helpful. I have had multiple maintenance issues involving no cold air in the summer, no hot water, and no heat in the winter. All issues to days to resolve and legally I should be compensated or pro-​rated my rent. I kept a record of all requests, times, and conversations and brought this issue to the office. Got a call back MONTHS later and the message simply said it’s not their fault and they don’t owe me anything. Can’t wait until my lease is up.

Thank goodness the management of this apartment community has changed! It was great when I rented here in 2011. The first year and a half was great then it went steadily downhill with AIMCO. Alliance just took over management of the apartments and I have seen very positive changes. Leah and the other staff at the front office are terrific. They have plans to modernize, clean and upgrade. Really glad I stayed!

Not properly managed at all. After leasing for my college-​age daughter for one year, we moved her to a new place. Promised repairs took weeks on end — including repair of broken pipe in neighboring wall that flooded the bedroom and replacement of the carpet/​repaint, etc of damage. Many follow-​up calls were required, and even then, some were not properly done. Also the management engaged in some very sketchy behavior — one example is insisting that rent be paid on-​line (not in the lease), then charged a $ 75.00 late fee when the payment was not made before midnight EAST COAST TIME! When confronted with the issue, the first position was that their bank is on the east coast, so okay to use that time period for rent payments in Arizona. When disabused of that notion, they agreed they had to reimburse the money, but did so only by crediting the amount to the next month’s rent — that is, they took my daughter’s money and used it for a month, leaving her without needed cash for food. Perhaps knowing their managers are not too good, in recent times (Winter-​Spring 2014), there seemed to be a different person in the office every time my daughter or I went in – and no one knows what the other is doing. Too bad, because the property is conveniently located and could be a very nice place if properly managed and maintained. All in all, pretty shocking behavior.

I lived at Paradise Palms for 2.5 years. The first year, I was on the north side in a split level condo and I down sized to the south side after making the desicion to go back to college. I was extremely disappointed when I moved into my apartment. Building 1501 #4 is not what the model apartment advertises. The wood laminate is different and ugly, there is carpet in the hallway and something is wrong with the flooring in the hallway as well (I think the carpet is kept to cover something up). I think the a/​c unit is at least 30 years old and you will pay for it if you live in those apartments. You will also be sweating while your thermostat says its set at 74 degrees. So in the summer time, my down sizing cost was a wash. Also to mention that anytime I would go into the office, Kevin would talk to me about partying and people crashing at his house because they were to drunk to drive all the way home from his house in Maricopa. (I have been sober for along time and found this extremely unprofessional). Last but not least upon my move out date, I ended up in the ER extremely ill. I tried to contact the office 8 times with one voicemail on my move out date to let them know that I was in the hospital. No one answered and no one called me back until the next day. It was Calvin the maintenence man. I told him what had happened and that I tried to call several times. His response was «well you are probably going to have to pay for another day since you still have some stuff in the apartment.» The maintenance man was telling me that I needed to pay more after being hospitalized!!! I told him «no», I won’t be” and that I will call back later when I was more lucid. So I tried to call 6 more times that day and no one answered. I showed up to the apartment in the evening time and got the 3 boxes and vacuum cleaner out of the apartment and went to drop off my keys. The new manager (who I believe was a poor decision in bringing on), was just sitting at her desk. The office was super quiet and her attitude was like I owed her something because her maintenance guy wasn’t charging me for another day… these experiences left a bad taste in my mouth and I am so grateful I do not live there anymore!!! Beware of the level of class you are getting at these apartments… you get what you pay for!!!

I live at Paradise Palms and it is a great place the apt. really large, we have tall ceilings and large rooms. The place was redone a couple of years ago and the kitchen is the kind of kitchen that makes you feel like your in a house not an apt. We also have peoples above us, but we have never heard a noise from up stairs not sure if it is because of the tall ceilings or just good flooring. These apt’s you really have to see for yourself how great there are. We love it here!!!
