Went here yesterday and this place is great. The yard is organized. The cars are all up on lifts which they’ll gladly rearrange the vehicle so you can get to the part you need. The guys were super helpful in helping me to get the part I needed.

The best place for older car parts. Put on your old clothes and bring your toolbox because you will need it.
There are always people in the yard willing to help you if you are not sure.
Shade tree mechanics and technicians flock here to save money
Plus you may even want parts for your newer vehicle.
They get new inventory daily

Best place for parts for both my vehicles need to go in and find me some a/​c compressor! I also like to just walk around to find goodies for family members vehicles as well.

I’ve been to the Phoenix Pick-​A-​Part several times over the years for my junkyarding needs, and they are great to work with. I can call ahead to ask about parts, and the phone gets routed to one of three locations (mesa, phoenix, Tolleson) who can answer questions about every yard’s inventory.
The front office/​reception area is set up nicely, and staff are always friendly, courteous and professional. By comparison, some of the other junkyards on this stretch of Broadway have a somewhat sketchy, scary feel to them.

Stopped by their yard two days ago and looked around. Am restoring a 1970’s car and looking for parts.
Went back inside and talked with the manager and he said to look at their yard in Mesa, and I did. What a nightmare (will review that location separately) and will never return to that location.
Returned to the Phoenix location and as before the staff were very nice to work with and bent over backwards to help. Found the parts I needed and they even noticed that I was pretty hot and tired when walking back and gave me a water and soda for free.
Excellent guys to work with and they haggled on the prices so am happy. Will be returning here again!

This was A pleasant experience for getting rid of an older car. Significantly less hassle than using Craigslist or dealing with people replying to an ad. They purchased my 2002 Chevy Malibu with 200,000 miles for $ 400. I don’t know if I could have done better but I wanted to get rid of the car quickly, efficiently and make a little money still. They came and picked it up also.
I’m giving this review three stars because it’s not a service I use very often so I don’t have any comparison against other similar businesses. However it is a very strong good recommendation and review

Staff is awesome!!! Great place to find parts and all makes and models. Our find was gold!!! Prices were spot on or cheaper. Few for yard was cheap but they let us look with no fee. When we were ready to pick, they offered Andy who made things real easy! We will be back as long as they don’t change.

False advertising. This business claims «Lowest prices, guaranteed, will match any competitor’s advertised price.» They are BY FAR the most expensive self-​service yard around (3 times as expensive in most cases). They will not match any competitor’s advertised price. I called the manager out on it, and his response was that his sign out front only says «Low, Low, Prices», not «Lowest Prices». This is false.
I contacted headquarters, and all they did was talk around me, trying to avoid my questions. It’s bait and switch, really, and I dislike the fact that they don’t list prices. I’m always shocked when I get at the register. Just today they charged $ 44 for a grille from a sedan. Most other yards only charge $ 12 for the same part. I almost put it back, and in fact, I put back the $ 40 cassette radio that anywhere else only charges $ 7 for. One time they charged me something like $ 40 for an alternator that I could have bought for $ 17 at another yard.
Sometimes there are acts of kindness, but overall, I feel that the prices are too high, and the attitude of the employees often seems like they are trying to squeeze every last penny out of me. I often avoid this yard, but every now and then I come back to give it another chance, and always regret it.
