Rosy’s Salon De Belleza

Shaggy, short of time, I saw «Unisex» on the window. I went in, getting a shampoo and shear from Rosy. I didn’t ask for the shampoo. Suddenly it was towel, wham, recline, head in sink getting lathered up. A requirement of my scissors trim, I think.
I have no idea how she is with women’s hair. Mine’s just fine.
Because I was rushed, I had no time for:
A Curly Eyelash Perm (does it sting?)
Brow Ironing (I can really use one of these)
Permanent Makeup (I’ll pass — does that make Rosys’ a tatoo parlor too?)
Permanent hair straightening (Nope)
Haircut (Yes)
Perms (Not this month, or next, or…)
Highlights (I’m growing my own highlights, no need for more)
Rosy is a woman full of questions. I’ll bet when this place is full of women, it rocks out, the walls shaking with laughter and gossip vocalizations.
It’s next to the Black Canyon Freeway north onramp. Thousands of us pass by every day.
I got sheared at Rosy’s. I’ll probably go back. Can’t resist shampoo and gossip…

The morning after a haircut is the day of truth. My truth is that Rosy’s haircut was fine for a hair cut. It’s OK. A good barber shop has tocuhes no beauty salon delivers. Warm lather and a razor finish around the ears and neck, lather cleanup with towel or paper, a dash of Osage Rub or something like it, maybe a shoulder rub.
