Education isn’t the only thing we do it is everything we do. We believe a foundation of love inspires children to grow into their future selves. This is Scottsdale Early Learning Center.
Scottsdale ELC is the culmination of more than 30 years’ experience in early childhood education in Arizona. We affirmatively embrace every child’s unique talents and dreams, believing that each child has unlimited potential to learn about and contribute to our community, our environment and our world. We know that, when given the time, space and opportunity to explore in an interactive, supportive environment, each child will create the foundations for a lifetime of inspired learning.
We believe in the value of human diversity and the importance of cultural awareness. Our paramount goal is to provide a stimulating learning environment that will encourage all children to become creative, independent, responsible and self-directed individuals who can work well with others and make wise decisions.
History
Established in 1980.
We are a family owned an operated child care provider who has been doing this for over 33 years. Larry Cochran is the original owner of the school of which the vision fourteen years ago is the same today, to create the premier preschool — in uniqueness, program, and value. Since 1980, our mission has been to enhance the whole child by providing a safe, loving, and nurturing atmosphere, while also creating an enriching learning environment to foster the development of the intellectual, physical, emotional and social needs of young children. Our passion is to operate the most innovative learning environment for children by providing a premium, high quality, private early education program.

My name is Jennifer Werner and I have the privilege of being the Director at Scottsdale Early Learning Center. Here at SELC we believe the Children should be loved first and then taught. This philosophy is the biggest reason I wanted to be a part of this amazing school. To put children’s emotional wellbeing first creates a positive environment and builds their confidence which develops a lifelong love of learning.
A native to Arizona I grew up and attended school here in the valley studying in the field of Elementary Education. I have always loved working with children, from volunteering in children’s ministry and non-profit organizations then after college teaching grades K-2 for 3 years. After having my own children I decided I wanted to move into Preschool so I could be with them more and in turn found a passion for Early Childhood Education. The past twelve years I have been a Preschool Director and love seeing how we as Early Childhood Professionals impact children’s lives each d
