The folks who run this business are helpful, down to earth and they are fair and honest. I had a couple of my autos there and the work was fast, well done and reasonable.
Moreover though I took a big problem to them and the results were unbelievable. The first time I had been told I needed a new air conditioner by another business. I went to get another bid and was all I needed was free-​on.
The second time I took a truck that the dealer said wasn’t eligible for work under warranty & would be charged over$ 500. I went to Skyline and they told me to go another dealership and get another opinion. Formerly the booking people had worked as service managers. Sure enough I went to the other dealership and the repair charge for me was $ 0.
This business makes you feel like a good friend.

Super impressed with this place! I needed a second opinion on a belt repair and choose to give Shadow Mountain a try based on their great Unilocal reviews. They lived up to their 5 stars! I felt they were honest and genuine. They didn’t talk down to me or try to up sell me on needless things like many places do. I even got a ride to work while they completed the repair! This is now my «place» for repairs and oil changes. :)

Very honest! They let me know my vehicle was still under warranty at my Honda dealership. They easily saved me $ 140! I guarantee I will be coming back again!

I came into the shop with no knowledge of what was wrong, just had the car towed from where it broke down. The guys here were great, they offered me options, cheaper options which I appreciated. Then they went above and beyond the call to meet my deadlines and repair a side issue. Courteous team that put my needs first and always stayed in communication. I am new to town and this will be my repair shop moving forward.

Ron Henslin is kind and courteous. He speaks with you in a down to earth manner and makes you feel comfortable leaving your car in good hands. I have an issue with my car and brought it right in to them, they asked questions and I said what I knew, heard, thought what the issue was and they didn’t make me feel like I was an idiot. They explained that it may take a while and asked if I had means to get home and I really didn’t and immediately he called to the other auto guy his name is Steve and he said take her home and here I am home. I feel so entrusted and assured that my car is in the best hand possible. I will never do business with anyone else! This is a lube shop not a repair shop. They should stick with what they know. Quoted 2000 for my Ac to be repaired when the guy down the street did it for 200. Curt said I need my entire system replaced when the other shop said I only needed freon and some ports replaced. When I left and went to the other shop they said someone had messed with my wiring which they fixed for free. When I saw perfect reviews I should have listened to my bs radar. Be warned

This shop is the best! Quality work, polite, friendly, informative. They repaired my power steering unit and the replacement part was bad. They apologized, kept the car over night and rented a car for me from enterprise for 1 day. Car was perfect the next morning. They also called me back 24 hours later to be certain that I was happy with the repairs. I can’t say enough about their work ethic and dedication. Wonderful Group of guys!

Can’t say enough good things about this auto repair facility. Rip, Ron, and the shop mechanic (Mike), were as good as it gets. They truly care about their customers and treat them like family. I’ve been driving for over 50 years and I’ve never seen anything like this. Their mechanics are skilled and honest. They will only replace what is necessary. I own a 2000 Buick Century. I had 3 things done. A/​C replacement, trans leak, and a brake line replaced. Their hourly is about $ 30 less than a dealership. Their work is top notch. I’m from out of town. Rip said that if I have any problems with the A/​C, he would arrange to get it repaired where I live for up to 1 year at no charge. In the world of auto repair you get what you pay for. Shadow Mountain Auto Service is well worth the trip if you want your car fixed the right way. They truly know what their doing!

These guys are truly awesome! I had been complaining to the dealership auto shop for the past 3 years about a «hiccup» my car had. They couldn’t find it, nor fix it. Shadow Mountain figured out the problem and fixed it in just 1 day. They even gave me the parts that were not installed correctly by the dealership so that I can go back to them with proof. They explained everything to me in laymen terms, without being condescending. I cannot sing their praises enough. This is definitely my new go-​to auto shop!!! Thank you Rip, Mike, and Steve!!!

So these guys are pretty awesome! My car was misfiring. The first place I took it to said it was just my o2 sensor… it wasn’t. The second place was going to charge me upwards of $ 500 just for the diagnostics. Ron quoted me a reasonable price to perform the diagnostic tests. They also charged a reasonable price for labor and gave me a list of the other work I need to eventually have done. These guys are honest and fast. I’ll be going back to them for sure.

I have been going here for 12 years. This place is the most honest mechanic I have ever known.. . I have a jeep and I’ve brought it in there for everything possible. If something on my vehicle isn’t broken they don’t charge me to fix it… And as a single woman you be surprised how many shops try to charge you to fix something that they have never touched. At Shadow Mtn when they know that someone else can do it for less they let me know. There have never been hidden costs. The same mechanics have been there for years and I’ve never had a problem with anything that they have fixed.

The words I would like to emphasize for these guys are honesty & competency. If you are looking for a mechanic who will level out the playing field and tell you exactly how it is, these guys are the ones to go to. The gentleman I was talking to therewas Ron and he laid out exactly what I needed and things I did not need currently. Through a simple conversation with him, I realized how much Honda Dealership was taking advantage of me and I worked in sales! Guys, I cannot thank you enough for the education and your honesty! Thank you guys!

Honest and committed to quality service. They go above and beyond expectations every time, even on our vintage Lincoln. We have taken multiple veciles here for several years and wont go anywhere else.

Got my brakes done a week ago, drove out of town. Brakes seemed worse by the time I returned home. Went back and they took care of the problem beyond my expectations! You measure a business by how they handle things when they go bad. I was extremely happy with how they took care of me and they have earned my repeat business!

I haven’t had many auto shop experiences aside from getting my tires rotated and oil changes when I didn’t feel like doing them. I must say I am impressed with these guys! They are polite, friendly and courteous. Every time I called they were fantastic. They didn’t do anything that wasn’t necessary and didn’t give me a spiel about all the things I should fix on my car. They work fast, and I was quite pleased when my total bill came under the estimate both times I’ve been there. I would highly recommend them.

Cant say enough positive things about this garage. Curt, the owner, knows everything there is to know about vehicles and therefore gets the diagnostics correct. By getting the diagnostics correct, this garage fixes the problems correctly.
The staff are friendly and informative to both genders.
Prices are great.

I took my truck in for an oil leak, and they found the leak and repaired it very quickly. The staff was very courteous and did not try to sell me on other services. I will definitely being going back there for all my future automotive needs. They are cheaper and by far less hassle for oil changes than jiffy lube.

This garage is as good as it gets! I’ve been coming here for ~7 years and wouldn’t think of going elsewhere. These guys are fast, courteous, thorough and most of all HONEST.
I recommend them to everyone who needs a great mechanic.

Brought my car in for issues on starting. They did a thorough inspection, found several issues that needed to be addressed and advised I should go to dealership since it should be under warranty. Although he could not duplicate my starting issues, he didn’t charge me for his service. He was friendly and appeared to be knowledgeable. Will be bringing our other car in soon. Nice to find a neighborhood car repair that doesn’t rip you off. Kudos.

2 things I found out today.
1. Unilocal is my new consumer Bible.
2. Shadow Mountain Auto is my new ‘toto’ mechanic.
Had to do 30k maint on one of my cars and did my cost estimate online. Expecting to pay $ 300+ from online information, I called Shadow Mtn and the guy told me around $ 200. Paid $ 140 when all done.
Never in my life I paid less than what I expected on car repairs/​maint.
Another shop told me I need to replace my auto transmission oil at 30k, this people told me I didn’t.
I thought I need to replace my break shoes after I did my own ‘half-​ass’ visual inspection, Shadow told me I didn’t after they took a look at them.
On oil changes, everyone else put a sticker on my windshield and said I needed to go back after 3000 miles, Shadow’s says 5000 miles.
These guys may not be the cheapest, but I know I will save money overall and never got any unnecessary service or repairs.
