Seems like the employees are more concerned about talking to each other than assisting customers
I was in the store for 20 minutes looking for a pair of shoes but was not approached until I was leaving and walked by 2 employees on the way out

Terrible customer service. Had the stock of the item on the wrong hanger. When we went to check out they informed us that the price was different and that they had to honor the original price. Even though the whole stock of the item was on the wrong hanger not just one. Always so disappointed in sports authority’s customer service and disorganization.

Overpriced and dull. I went looking for a new tent & they had very little to select from. The sales people tried their best but I think I will stick to Dicks from now on.

Went to get kids new shoes for school. I asked the salesman for help he said go look yourself to see what sizes your kids are and see what we have left.

Came in for a putter a bit before closing (jerk move I know) staff was very friendly and attentive. Happy customer!

Customer service was terrible. The salesperson acted arrogant and was of no help. The elliptical that we wanted to purchase, he kept saying how horrible it was and how, of course the one that was double the size and price was better, which I stated I wanted the smaller one for a specific reason. The price was not the issue. He clearly did not care to sell anything. I would never go back there solely due to the poor customer service

Why do I waste my time coming to this place? They NEVER have my size and their selections of colors and styles is horrible. If you’re contemplating coming here save yourself a trip and just order from the web.

I would give this Sports Authority zero stars if I could. I went in to the store and wasn’t greeted or helped. I had three broken racquet balls that I had bought from the store a few months ago. And it says right on the Penn can «two for one if the Penn logo is still visible.» So I went and grabbed two cans then headed to check out and I told and showed the manager the broken racquet balls. And I explained that I needed to get replacements. The manager preceded to tell me that I was wrong and that’s not how it works. And told me I have to pay $ 3.50 for each and we don’t honor the Penn warranty/​agreement. I have been playing racquet ball for thirty years and I have always gone to sports authority for equipment, and they used to always take care of problems like this all the time. The management and customer service is terrible now. So, beware of this Sports Authority.

Huge store! Probably the biggest Sports Authority i’ve ever been too! Love the selection for the women’s clothing and all of the shoes! The lines can be long though and the store itself is kind of hidden by trees which is a shame. Employees were nice and the sale rack was a good size! Dressing room area could be a little bit bigger though.

This is a typical Sports Authority. It was very well stocked and the employees were helpful.

I am definitely a fan of this place. Having grownup on the east coast Dick’s Sporting Goods was the only game in town for so long. Although there were Sports Authority locations there they were not nearly as well run and you avoided them. Here the employees are very friendly and the prices are always reasonable. You can also sign up for the rewards program and earn 5% back on your purchases plus get coupons for 20% off items periodically.

only reason i gave 4 stars is because it’s a chain (support local). honestly though, this location is by far the best Big Box Sports Store i’ve ever been too… and i’ve been to all of them from «Tukee-​Chandler-​Gilbert-​S S’dale-Phx-N S’dale. this is the one to go too. service is great. fast, freindly. everything is a hit. Plus, with a Unilocal check in (and, who doesnt check in now’a days? man up) you get $ 20 off of a $ 100 purchase. do that math. also, they have a new rewards card. its free. like Unilocal.Free on the wallet, warm to the heart. check it out. ya’dig.

The Unilocal check-​in offer does not work! The guy at the counter took his time to figure out the check-​in offer and once we were able to open it, the coupon it’s linked to is expired. We were super bummed, but he gave us 15% off our purchase to make up for it! Hooray!

If you know exactly what you want and need NO assistance whatsoever, and you happen to be lucky enough to find it in your size, then by all means go here. If you need any help whatsoever, you’d be better off wandering the parking lot for a knowledgeable squirrel. This has happened EVERY time we have gone there for shoes etc over the last several years, so roughly 8 times in the last 4 or 5 years.
Today, I went to buy new hiking boots and possibly rollerblades or roller skates. Not an employee in sight. I located and tried on four pair of hiking boots and settled on one that I liked, but wanted to try the next size up. I couldn’t see any in the size I wanted, but noticed the two shelves higher than what I could reach had several boxes BEHIND the front boxes. No ladders or stools anywhere. No employees anywhere. I eventually slid a bench over to the area, climbed on top & looked for myself. Nope, none in the next size up. Looked & looked for someone who worked there, in hopes that they could call another store to see if they had that size in stock. I gave up after lapping the store twice.
Ok, so forget the hiking boots. I still would like blades or skates though. Rollerskates: one pair for girls, one for men. No women’s. None! Rollerblades: three different ones in stock, all seemed really REALLY crappy, and one style was completely sold out, which I will assume was the only decently-​made pair out of the bunch. Had some questions about the crappy ones, but again… not a soul in sight. I give up. Zappos, here I come!
Also, if you are a thief, this is your place. I am very confident I could have loaded a cart full of stuff & waltzed out the door. I seriously wondered if the doors were accidentally left unlocked and the store was really supposed to be closed. 3pm on a Tuesday, too. Unbelievable.

I checked in here today and saw they had a coupon upon check in. So I bought stuff and tried to pay for it and use the coupon. The guy that checked us out said the coupon was bogus and that sports authority never put the coupon on. He said that Unilocal put the coupon on the website without sports authority knowing. Seriously? Crappy service and staff that clearly don’t know how to honor their own company coupons.

Good prices and friendly staff. I’m always greeted when I walk in. We’ve purchased many sports clothing items here, many of which were in the clearance section or featured as discounted items.
Parking is easy, and this location never seems to be too crowded.
A little bummed they didn’t have snow helmets when I stopped by earlier today. The associate said they carried them last season (and on their website) and suggested I head over to Sports Chalet.

I never understood why in sporting good stores this big they have tons of local sport team items (jerseys, hats, etc) but NO stuff for other teams like Seahawks, Cowboys, Raiders, Patriots, etc. It’s not like they don’t have room in their store.

I am only ever going to this Sports Authority again! After an awful experience at the Indian Bend one, a friend recommended trying this location, as it is the biggest producer or something? And it was a completely different experience! I was greeted as soon as I walked in and someone offered to help me as soon as I stopped in the fitness department. I told them what I was looking for (a full size med ball without handles) and he immediately knew what I was talking about. He said they didn’t have any on the floor, but to follow him so they could check the back. After multiple employees searched the back rooms, they concluded that they must be out, but were sorry and would order more. Then, one of them suggested that we check the Pink (breast cancer awareness) display. Sure enough, there was exactly what I was looking for, and in bright pink! Couldn’t have been more amazing! Plus, the monster walk I found at the other SA had prices marked on it at this one!
A manager even came to help ring me up and gave me an incentive on the ball since the 4 lbs were marked down but the 6 lbs weren’t. Since she felt bad that I had gone through so much strife at another location, and the med ball I was getting was in a slightly ripped box, she gave me an incentive off of it! I couldn’t believe what a 180 this was from the S*** Authority at the Pavilions!
Also, they have a much bigger apparel section with ridiculous sales! Definitely going back to stock up!

I have been here one time, got a pair of shoes, my first ever Nike brand shoes. Their selection in wide shoes is very limited, but I was able to find one pair and I took them home. Service in the store was otherwise very good. The place is very clean.
Now, they are spamming my mail box with shoe fliers. What’s worse is they contacted my bank and got my address without my permission, which is creepy stalking behavior. Very creepy.
So if you go here and pay on plastic, be prepared to be stalked.

Looking for a new driver for my golf game, I stopped by this location to check out their selection of golf clubs. They had a decent selection of Taylor Made drivers and they were very reasonably priced.
I ended up buying a Taylor Made Burner Super Fast 9.5 degree driver for $ 149.99…not bad! Hopefully, it will help improve my golf game… yeah right! Just another excuse to spend some cash… ha!
The employees here are very friendly and helpful. I’m glad I dropped by.
