Sunchain Tanning

The staff was nice but beware of cleanliness in the beds. I used to work at a tanning salon in MN and I was in charge of cleaning the beds. It takes a minimum of 30 seconds to a couple minutes depending on the solution for the disinfectant to clean the bed. I came in at a bit of a busy time but that doesn’t mean I shouldn’t get a clean bed. The front desk girl only sprayed the bottom glass of the bed and wiped it off immediately, so I know it wasn’t really clean. You can also tell a bed hasn’t been cleaned well when you can see smudges on the top glass as you pull down the shell. I saw many smudges from sweat and lotion that had probably been there after a few uses. I personally won’t be returning and I just thought those who see this companies overall high review is because they give away free tans for proven Unilocal reviews by customers.

I live down the street so I stopped in to get a month just to get a base before summer. The place is ok, pricing is a little higher than what I am used to paying, I just moved here from the east coast. They do not have stand up beds, so I went with the level 3 tanning… They only have 1 bed for the level 3 so expect to wait. The level 3 bed was broken down twice while I had two month unlimited, I’ll try another place after my month is up. It’s just an ok tanning salon.

This place is a joke. Came in today 7.3.15 and the lady that helped me was very rude and inconsiderate. They made me watch a stupid video and I asked a question to this girl during the video and she’s like watch the video… after my mystic tan was complete it was so sloppy and runny you had to wipe off the extra. When I tried it actually ended staining my legs. I guess like what they say you get what you pay for… dissapointed

I started going to Sun Chain a month ago and love it! The beds are super nice and clean. The workers care about their clients! They will truthfully tell how long you should go so you don’t burn. I have been to many tanning places and this is the best.

I love this salon! It’s always clean and the girls are always so nice and know you by name. I swear this place wouldn’t run without Nicole and Taylor, these ladies are fabulous and always on top of it!

Been thinking about joining a tanning facility for a while, but with so many options and questions, took me a while to finally build up the courage and «just ask for information».
Nikki, not only was she helpful, but explained with great detail products, and types of beds, and was asking questions… over all, am beyond happy with the customer service and personality of the staff. Very satisfied and content on making a great choice in picking the right place for me. Thank you Nikki.

I just moved from OH to AZ and never thought I would need a tanning bed again. Boy was I wrong. I was reviewing tanning places online and thought I would give Sunchain a try since the reviews were wonderful. And they weren’t wrong. They are currently running a special if you are a new client– 10 consecutive tans for $ 10 :) Nikki assisted me with not only a warm greeting but with an array of knowledge. Having worked in a tanning salon years ago, I was very impressed on her knowledge regarding the beds, skincare, and lotions. Now I will be honest, the beds were not as NEW as I am used to HOWEVER, they are maintained and clean regularly. I usually come after the gym or work so it was nice that they offer a refresher basket in each room that offer products you can use before and after your tan.
So if you are looking for some color or just need some vitamin D in your life I definitely recommend Sunchain.

I have been going to Sunchain for several years and this place is my favorite! They have the good beds for the reasonable prices. The girls that work here are sweet and always helpful with choosing the best lotions for my needs. I just got an airbrush tan here for the first time last week and I LOVE it! I felt very comfortable with Chelsea and I am not orange, streaky, or smelly. The bronzer is not too sticky or dark, and only needs to be left on for 4 – 6 hours.

The only place with the best customer service I’ve ever been to. Wet towel, body mists, and hair sprays. The staff is also very outgoing and nice too! Great place!

This tanning salon is the best salon in the Valley! The employees are so knowledgeable and always are happy to answer any questions you might have. The also offer Custom Air Brush Tanning as well. Chelsie, the spray tech makes you feel completely at ease when you a re getting sprayed and walked me throughout every step of the way throughout my first spray. She is the only person I will ever go to again to get sprayed.
The salon is also exceptionally clean! When you walk in you can tell this isn’t like the rest of the tanning salons you have been to in the past.
Do your self a favor, and if you are looking for a new salon, go to SUNCHAIN!

I wanted a new tanning salon that offers both traditional tanning and airbrush spray tan for my upcoming wedding festivities. Sun chain offers these services and much more! There store is clean, they offer a bunch of awesome products to enhance the before and after tan experience and they offer cold towels and great after-​tan lotion! The membership pricing is great and they do a bunch of promotional offers for upgrades and discounts too! Chelsea was very thorough in answering all my questions about their products and services and she is the sweetest! I think I found a new salon for life!

Sunchain has thw best beds and the greatest staff Haley and Nikki always are upbeat and cheerful and go above and beyond for their customer’s!

I went to this tanning place on my lunch hour. Chelsie was super helpful and really nice, she answered all of my questions and explained everything in full detail so I wasn’t confused. Once I signed up and went over everything with her, she took me over to the room I was going to tan in and explained everything in further deatil, I left sunchain with no questions and was excited about coming back!

I got tired of being pale (just looking at my skin made me feel cold) so I looked up tanning locations near where I work so that I’d be able to go on lunch breaks or before/​after work. Sunchain came up as being within a couple minutes away and had a great rating. I stopped in during a break today to find out about pricing and plans and all that good stuff.
Chelsie was the girl who helped me and she was awesome. Super friendly, really knowledgeable about everything and explained all the plans and options thoroughly so that I understood what I’d be getting with each package. I was impressed with all the perks that you get with the membership! Easy ways to get free upgrades to VIP beds, discounts on lotions continuously not to mention a $ 20 credit off lotion when you sign up, ability to have an account tab essentially so that you can bill things rather than paying for them right away. Lots of good stuff.
The rooms themselves have these awesome little refresher baskets which are better than any at other tanning salons I’ve been to. They have the standard fragrances, deodorant and towels but also have these exfoliating wipes that you use before tanning to help cleanse your skin to get a better tan and tanning extender lotion you put on after tanning to help prolong your tan and moisturize your skin. Plus you’ll be offered a cold towel if you want, something I’m sure I’ll be getting a lot during the summer months. I’m very happy I decided to check out Sunchain and I am looking forward to getting some color back at a place that I actually enjoy going to as well!

I love this place sooo much! Hands down the best tanning salon ever! The girls are so sweet and helpful. The facility is always spotless and I love the jolly rancher left for you on your bed! Sun Chain is in the same lot as my bank and its across from my office so it was an easy option. After going in the first time and talking to Nikki, I found her to be knowledgable, polite, and very friendly. The salon itself is clean, bright and well kept. I have never had to wait and really enjoy the diferent tanning options they have. Its a great place to get the tan you want!

Okay, since my last 1 star review, I was contacted by the manager/​owner Cathy, who’s a doll and apologized and said that she has spoken with the employee and hopefully used my words as a training opportunity. (I’m not here to get people fired)
I WILL probably visit the Tempe location for a while at Baseline and Rural, (owned by the same people) until I get the cranky taste out of my mouth of the last experience. I am still very much a Sunchain advocate and definitely recommend either location, but I’m just being a pain-​in-​the-​butt and letting the last experience put me off. I’ll get over it soon.
So for me, the salon is 5 stars, but the service at time can be 1 star when Cathy isn’t there, so I split the difference for this location. Tempe I would give 5 stars all around, for service+salon.
