STILL how not to run a pawn-shop(or any store, for that matter): On sat., 11/29/2014, We made the final payment on layaway for a HP computer system; after making the payment, and holding a receipt showing –0– balance, CSR said we couldnt get the item unless we paid an extra $ 69. Nothing had ever been stated that our $ 500 purchase price was insufficient, the contract & all receipts clearly show we made full payment. I tried to ask the CSR why we couldnt get our merchandise, he kept cutting me off and wouldnt let me finish a sentence. I asked to speak to a manager, manager Blanca took over. 1 of the rudest persons I have ever had an experience with, kept telling us we had to come back on dec. 4th to pickup the item, kept talking over us, interrupting us, not allowing us to finish a sentence(I see now why Hugo has this habit if Blanca is his manager). Finally, she went to the back room, got the computer, brought it to us and just said«here», didnt check it out with us to make sure it was correct, make sure it works, nothing. The most horrible customer service experience ever; we have dealt with SuperPawn for years and regret it now.

How NOT to run a pawn-shop: 1. Bad location: Weirdo corner of Grand and 35th Ave, with Indian School running overhead. 2. Don’t honor MaxIt Pawn gift cards, «we were bought out.» Um, ok. 3. Hire ghetto, unenthusiastic kids to run your place. 4. Stock it with overpriced tools and electronics. Seriously, 90 bucks for a beat-up, 12v Dewalt drill? I know inflation’s a bitch, but this is ridic. The problem is, I can order product XYZ shipped from with a full warranty for maybe a little more. Sales tax kills this place on expensive, $ 200 purchases. I hope the new owners rot and DIAF. The end.
