What a great experience! Jessica, April Devin and Trey did a fantastic job… though I would say April was the bestJessica was fantastic to work with and did an amazing job for our very large group of women! Thanks to all of them… our guests had a wonderful time. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a fabulous food tour of Old Scottsdale!

I went on a tour Sunday with several friends and it was awesome. We went to five restaurants each of them served an excellent dish and a good portion. It was a Great way to see/​learn about some of the newer restaurants downtown. The tour guides are very knowledgeable about the restaurants and the area. I will be going on another tour soon.

Book your tour today! We did the daytime downtown Phx tour. Jessica and Celeste (trainee) did an amazing job. I think they even arranged for us to have great weather! They were knowledgeable about the food AND the sites they showed us! You could see that Jessica has a passion for her company and it showed. The chosen restaurants were awesome. Not just tasty food but also very fresh ingredients used. It’s great to know that when you go to these places you are not only getting great food but also supporting our local farms and small businesses. If you aren’t local, you should definitely book this tour at the beginning of your vacation that way you have a chance to visit one or more of these restaurants while you’re there. And Jessica even had some fun facts about the area to share with us. We ended our tour with dessert at Phoenix Public Market Café — Jessica said pick a cookie and I initially thought that was a crappy dessert compared to the food we’d just had. I was wrong. I had the best peanut butter cookie complete with peanuts and pb icing I’ve ever had! And the place smelled like food heaven. We will definitely be going to their community dinner next time we’re in town.
Also had the chance to meet a young lady who does the Scottsdale tour and she told me about the restaurants they visit — we will be taking that tour next time we’re in town! So resident, or visitor — you need to book a tour. You won’t be sorry!

Don’t wait as long as some of us did to take this tour! Our group consisted of all local friends who typically don’t get the opportunity to gather often. In addition we got to meet another couple who joined our tour and we all had a great time. There are so many great elements of this tour. One of the best is learning about all the hiding gems in Downtown Phoenix. The opportunity to visit 5 great downtown culinary hotspots and sample (good Portions) some of their best food and drinks was exciting and all during 1 Sunday afternoon. It was like «speed dining» and the amount of time allotted at each location was perfect. Great Food, Friends, and Tour Guide! Thank YOU Taste It Tours! We will back to see you again soon! Jessica from Taste It Tours was an incredible host. She fostered a great environment for our company’s team-​building outing. The food at all of the restaurants was top notch. We were able to learn a lot about the food industry as well as some history of Phoenix. This tour was a great way to learn and experience the city in an authentic, culinary way. If you live in the Phoenix area or are just visiting, I highly recommend that you try Taste It Tours, food tour.

Taste it Tours was a wonderful experience! I’ve lived in Phoenix for a few years now and have not know about the history or food available in this area until I went on this tour. Jessica was our tour guide and she was awesome. She was warm, attentive, catering, and funny. Our tour started at Urban Olive Oils and Balsamics. This was one of my favorites as I’m an olive oil lover! The 18 year aged Balsamics is amazing! We put it on ice cream, which maybe sounds wild, but it’s going to be a staple in my diet now. My other favorite restaurant on the tour was Tom’s Tavern. It has been open for business since the Prohibition Era and has such a rich history! Our tour was on a hot Phoenix summer day and Jessica was very mindful of that when doing our tour. She made sure we were not standing in the hot sun for too long, but if she had a terrific historic landmark to show us, she’d lead us to the shade and give us a quick history lesson. This tour opened up my eyes to what I’ve been missing out on in Phoenix as far as the food and the rich history that is in the area. Who would have ever known the history of the Miranda Rights came from right here in Phoenix?

You think you know your downtown restaurants? We didn’t know downtown had so much to offer really glad we took the tour it was informative, fun, we had a blast and Jessica was fantastic we will do it again in a heartbeat

Had so much fun! Enjoyed learning about the city I was born and raised in, food was fabulous (except Greek, not my cup of tea) all else’s totally awesome! Guide was fun and informative, totally fun date night or girls night out for sure!!!

Our Downtown Phoenix tour was awesome… we had so much fun! Everything was tasty and Jessica was professional and fun!

Cancelled both tours I booked and when I attempted to make a third, was basically told to just get my money back from Groupon. Extremely disappointed and had been looking forward to this for quite some time. Spoke to me on several
occasions and didn’t bother to write down my name or information.
Poor communication and lacking in the customer service skills department. Will be booking with Destination Food Tours in the future.

I thoroughly enjoyed Jessica’s food tour in Phoenix. Great way to explore the downtown Phoenix area, learn about its history and landmarks, and eat some great food. Recommend to out of towners or locals looking to explore their own city.

After week on vacation, our family of five, was maxed out on sit down meals – even at nice restaurants. So, Taste it Tours caught our attention. Great way to have a different type of dinner experience it was terrific. We tried delicious food and drink at five spots and learned about Phoenix history as well. If we lived in Phoenix, we would definitely go back to the restaurnats we visited – they were well selected.
And of course, Jessica, the owner is delightful. Personable and knowledgeable.
Not to be missed.

You need to do this tour. Whether you are from Phoenix or from out of town it is a great way to spend a few hours. We went on the Scottsdale Trolley Tour. We visited 5 locations and had everything from Mexican to English to chocolate. There are also cocktails at just about every location. You don’t need dinner after this tour!
We also learned a bit about the history of Scottsdale as we walked along. We had 2 people that have lived in Scottsdale for 15+ years in our party and even they learned something new.
Definetly something to put on your to do list!

Today we did the Taste It Tour — Scottsdale Trolley tour. This was our third Taste It Tour, and we enjoyed it. The food was great, there was alcohol at every stop, and we both left very full. We also enjoyed hearing from the managers, chefs, owners about their restaurants. The only improvement we’d suggest would be to add more historical and cultural details, especially between stops. Given the depth of history in downtown Scottsdale, this would enhance the experience, especially for those who are here on vacation.

The Taste It Tour is a unique, fun and tasteful way to sample the food and drink of Scottsdale. Guide Jessica was fun and interesting. This is a new way to dine and sample food from 5 highly rated restaurants!

Jessica provides an awesome experience. When you first arrive you are greeted with a smile and a glass of wine. She lines up a nice variety of restaurants and they were all ready for us upon our arrival. The food at each of the restauraunts was delicious, we actually went back downtown the following night and had appetizers at one of them.
Along the way she provides a bit of history regarding the restaurant. In addition as you are making your way between the various restaurants she provides some history of the buildings you pass by. We had a number of locals on our tour so she provided some information of various festivities which occur downtown throughout the year.

The Good —
The tour took us to places we would not have seen otherwise. This is a great way to visit downtown or take people who are in from out of town.
The Bad —
The tour did run a little long, I think it to took an hour before we actually left to go to our first stop, that could have been shortened.
The real trouble I had was actually getting the tour booked. I had purchased a Groupon and tried booking prior to it expiring, I called to make the reservation but all of the dates were full, I asked if my Groupon could be extended because of this and I was told (by a man) no, and that next time I should «be a little more proactive.» This was 2 weeks out before the expiration date, so it seemed like more had been sold than could be handled. I really tried working with him, offering to just use two of my Groupons instead of all 4 and being flexible with any day or time, but his attitude was just really bad.
I had actually forgotten about this until I was going though my Groupons, I was able to use them for the price I paid, but it sucks to purchase 4 tickets to something and not be able to use them. Jessica was very nice on the phone, she did give us the drink upgrade with out charging us and honestly I think if it had not been for her I probably would have called Groupon and asked for my money back.

Thought this was a fun way to get to know Phoenix — and it was!
Our tour guide was fantastic and fun (think her name was Marlene?). Really knowledgeable about the area and passionate about her city. I loved walking around the area and learning about the history of the buildings through her and she was such a joy.
Overall the food was good but nothing to write home about. With the exception of Squash Blossoms, what was missing for me was why we visited the places we did.
For example, I’m not sure why a Thai place was chosen other than «the food is good.» It was but it wasn’t different than any other Thai restaurant out there. Thai iced tea, pad thai, tom yum soup, and chicken stir fry. Same with the Italian place. Bruschetta, tortellini in cream sauce and penne in bolognese sauce. Good but not really unique.
I guess better context would’ve been nice because if you’re interested in discovering Phoenix restaurants, you could easily do that through Unilocal.I’ve been on a Chicago food tour where even though they had mundane things like hot dogs and pizza, it was all within context of how the food was tied to the fabric of Chicago history and/​or its current community. That’s what made that tour so interesting.
The tour ended at Westward Ho with former railroad chef and Westward Ho resident Chef Dennis. What a hoot! Learning about the history of that place was priceless.
So if you’re a foodie and looking for a foodie experience, don’t expect any revelations but do enjoy the good food and great guides. And wear something with an elastic waistband. You’ll thank me later.

We just completed our third tour with Taste It Tours and we’ve been impressed with all of them. All 3 tours are distinct and are loaded with excellent restaurants. I’ve spent quite a bit of time downtown, but it can be daunting and I haven’t ventured much to explore and try new things. The tours take you to the places you may not notice as you whiz by, give the history (yes Phoenix has history), and overall just slow you down to take in the sights, sounds, and of course, food!
Can’t decide which tour to take? Start with the Original, then the warehouse and finally the evening. Really, they’re all good!
Tips: Have a light snack before starting the tour. Yes you do get a lot of food, but keep in mind that the tours start at 2pm or 6pm. You have introductions, overview, some history and then a short walk to the first restaurant. If you’re skipping lunch, you might be very hungry when you arrive as the first restaurant. 2) Wear comfortable shoes. You will be walking about 2 miles. Nothing strenuous or fast paced, but just be conformable (also wear comfortable clothing as you will get full). 3) Pace yourself! Don’t eat everything that is in front of you. Each restaurant gives a fair amount of food, now multiply that by 3+ more restaurants that remain on the tour… You get the idea. You will be full!
Highly recommend for anyone: locals, out of town visitors, guests of locals, team building, etc. Really, who doesn’t like food!
Side Note: Taste it Tours was founded by a few Phoenix locals who love food and their city. They have only been around about a year now and have been doing extremely well. They base their business around supporting local businesses (local supporting local). I’m excited to see how well they’ve done and wish them all the best (More tours are in the works and I will definitely be taking them!)

This tour was awesome. I left stuffed and satisfied. We stopped at three restaurants where the samples weren’t samples. They were practically entrees! Our last stop (the fourth stop) was a coffee/​pastry shop and the cookies were to die for. The tour was definitely worth every penny we spent. We also opted for the alcohol sampling and that too was pretty awesome.
The tour consisted of walking at least 1 – 2 miles so please be prepared and wear comfortable shoes.
