The Countertop Center

We went through The Countertop Center after getting quotes from multiple places. They had a selection we really liked and their estimate was less than any other place but included install and old counter removal where the other bids we got did not. They were also able to install in less than a week. We were on a deadline because my husband had to go back to work and they were able to meet our deadline. Not only did they meet it but they were friendly about it and very happy to accommodate.
My husband brought our dog in with him when he went to check out samples and the ladies in the front office were smitten. Then when he called they remembered him and asked all about our doggie. What great friendly service!
The installation guys were in and out in under 2 hours and the finished product looks great! They were all very friendly and efficient. We would use again should we decide to do a bathroom remodel.

Finished product was okay — But would not use again, customer service is non existent and the lead time is way beyond what was quoted. Would have canceled the order if we hadn’t had to pay a deposit.

Horrible customer service. Took two weeks just to get someone to come out and take measurements. Was promised a quote within 24 hours. I had to call 3 separate times to get a quote. It felt like they didn’t even want my business. Extremely discouraged and disappointed by the entire experience.

I am updating my review because after a few days Gary did call me back and explain the situation. Apparently the contractor that I was dealing with wasn’t his employee but a contract employee that was doing a side job. Gary, nor the Countertop Center can be held responsible for this unprofessional behavior. However it is true that it took over a week for anyone from the Countertop center to return my phone calls, after repeated messages. Gary says that the people who actually use them leave the good reviews and the people who don’t leave the bad ones. That might suggest treating your POTENTIAL customers a little differently than present. All the best.

I was very excited to call the counter top center and get an estimate after I had read the reviews. We called the business to schedule an estimate and it took a few days for the business to call back and schedule. We figured they must be busy so we were patient. They came out the end of last week for an estimate but never gave us an estimate. They advised that they would email us the figures and guess what we had not received any figures. We even called giving them the benefit of the doubt that maybe the email address was wrong or written down incorrectly. Nope. The email address was correct and was verified by the receptionist. She politely advised someone would follow up on Monday… No follow up. It is a shame when you are willing to spend money with a business and you get the cold shoulder. I guess there are other businesses out there that would like to give estimates and complete jobs and make money.
I would like to amend my review based on the owner of the company reaching out. Great customer service and professional demeanor! I have not completed the work but my review is based on the high level of professionalism and customer service that I received today! Thank you!

We couldn’t be more pleased with the laminate countertop we purchased here for a quick bathroom remodel. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the pricing straightforward. We wouldn’t hesitate to come back again.

Frustrated with the responsiveness of another countertop provider, I tried the countertop center. I sent them a detailed drawing created by a professional architect. It was a small job for a laminate desktop with a couple of holes, less than $ 500. They couldn’t even turn around a quote in two weeks. Typical contractor, nothing special here. Save time and just go to ikea like I ended up doing.

I read the reviews and thought that they must have been fake since they were all so good. Well, I can honestly tell everyone The Countertop Center is the best!!! Gary came out and measured, Mike and Anthony did the install. It was perfect. I just can’t put into words the difference it made in our kitchen. Get a quote from this company and you’ll throw rocks at the big box stores. Price and quality can’t be beat!!! Don’t know how you do it Gary, but THANKS!!!

I am a Realtor and I have had The Countertop Center do countertops for my own personal home as well as my investment homes. Before you go buy counter tops to DIY, give The Countertop Center a chance to earn your business. They do an outstanding job and for way less than the big bog stores charge to do the job and close to what you can do it yourself with no hassle. They are quick, efficient and cost effective. You will not get the job done at the time they promise.
You will not get the job done precise and good enough as they promise.
Basically, you will not get anything they promise.
In any small issue, they will not be at the same good attitude as they were before selling the product. (You can also observe this from their replies to bad comments)
All you will get is a countertop which you can get from anywhere — it’s not rocket science.
If you still want to go with them, go.
Last advice «never» pay them half, quarter or any amount before they finish their work, otherwise you get the quality level of what they want to give instead of what you want to get. If they are late or they can’t keep their any promise and you want to cancel, what you paid is gone for nothing.

As a first time homebuyer, I was more than in over my head when I began shopping around for new countertops. The big box home improvement stores quoted me over $ 1300 for laminate countertops. I found a craigslist ad for the countertop store and never looked back.
I called the store and spoke with Karon. She was very patient and answered all my questions about the timeline and sequence of events leading up to installation. Their crews came out to measure my kitchen and nearly a week later returned to install the new laminate countertops. The new laminate countertops look great!
From start to finish, the Countertop Center staff was excellent. Oh and in case anyone is wondering, the final price for my new laminate countertops from the Countertop Store was less than HALF of the big box store quotes. Thanks Gary and Karon!

My wife and I bought a new front-​loading washer and dryer set for our very small laundry room. I wanted to maximize the space on top by putting a countertop across it.
I measured and fortunately the width needed was the exact same size as The Countertop Center’s stock countertops.
I gave a call and spoke with Karon. She asked me to send measurements, as I also needed a cutout done in the rear to accommodate the water supply to the washing machine.
I sent the measurements, and rather than just take them and proceed, she questioned whether or not it was accurate. I had explained to her from the start that this was going to go over our washing machine and dryer. But the depth of the nook into which the counter was going to go is only about ¹⁄₃ the depth of the machines. She noticed this and just wanted to double check, since the dimensions I gave her were shorter than a standard washer/​dryer. That’s some attention to detail.
I assured her that the measurements were correct, and placed the order. This was on a Monday. I was told that the item would be ready later in the week. Got a call that it was ready on Weds. I was thrilled, but couldn’t make it down to pick up until Thurs.
Got there on Thurs and was shown the countertop with the cutout. Looked perfect. Loaded it into the car and started to head home. But then I noticed the lip on the backsplash, which I wasn’t expecting. I turned around to go back and ask about this.
Gary (the manager) heard me ask the question to Karon, and came out of his office to explain. Everything was fine, and my (perceived) issue was just due to my inexperience with countertops. But what stood out to me was that I only just bought a stock piece of countertop at a very reasonable price, yet Gary spent about 20 minutes explaining things to me as if I had just dropped $ 15 000 on a custom kitchen.
I got the countertop put in today. It looks great. The cutout in the back fits perfectly around the water supply and electrical outlet.
The next time I need a countertop of any kind, I’m definitely headed back to The Countertop Center.

Gary was phenomenal to work with from the inception of the project. He sat down with me and explained everything I needed to know about the products and the prices. I appreciated his honesty and he even talked me out of a more expensive option which was a first for me.
The job was done cleanly and fast. The kitchen was left clean with no signs of work after they were done. Oh I forgot to mention that the pricing was 25% cheaper than Home Depot’s quote with an upgraded edge included.
Go to the Countertop Center for the best work and prices in town for your countertop needs.

Fantastic job. The new countertops look like quartz at a fraction of a price. It was a very quick process and we could not be happier.

Turns out there’s a 335 $ difference between the original quote and the price we will now have to pay.
I find this very unprofessional,
Once you give a quote you stick with it.
I know this first hand as a contractor.
I would accept a 100 – 200 $ difference but not 335 $!!

Called in today as I had a small broken 8″ piece of 70’s era formica that needed fixing. The man who answered the phone (owner? Manager? I kick myself that I can’t remember his name!) helped me in every way. Not only did he explain how it would be better for me to fix this problem myself, he gave me the name of the company where I could find the color and buy the part I needed and explained in detail the process and materials I would need to complete the job. He saved me a boatload of hassle and money. Next time I need countertops, this place will be my first call.
Any company that is willing to direct you to the proper way to do things rather than just the way that benefits them is a company worth supporting and doing business with.

Gary and team did a great job with our countertops. The estimate was much better than Home Depot and we didn’t run into any issues when dealing with them. Gary was pleasant and able to answer all of our questions. The lead time from start to finish was roughly 3 weeks however once the granite was ready to install the install itself only took a half day and there were no problems.
Pricing was cut and dry– the price quoted on day 1 is the price we ended up paying. As I mentioned before, it was a much lower price than your lowers/​home depot types.
I would recommend The Countertop Center– definitely happy with what I got.
