I decided to go downtown to get a 90 min cupping massage on MLK day. The place was a bit hidden and nowhere it states «The Metaphysical Mama» but there was a sign «Massage» with the correct address so I engaged behind it where you will find a much bigger parking lot than expected.
I knocked at the door and Renee greeted me and I started to fill up the form while discussing about why I was here and what I needed.
We then went to the room nearby where the massage table was. The room was nice and relaxing. The massage table had a warm sheet due to the electric pads which I thought was welcome as the temperature outside was a bit cool.
Renee started her massage using stretching and cupping. She was able to go through every single muscles and knots in order to make them nice and loos.
I felt great after and of course a bit sore as a lot of blood flow was rushing through my body. Sure, cupping leaves some marks but it seems to be so much efficient than any other kind of massages that I don’t mind them as far as I feel good.
Renee did an excellent job communicating with me while she was processing the cups and she was really professional.
I’m looking forward to return to see her when I’ll get a chance, she did an amazing job and most of all I feel great!

Wonderful experience. I decided to try a 60 minute cupping massage for the first time! Renee was extremely knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable and calm. I felt INSTANTLY better. Normally when I get massages at massage envy, I feel light headed and groggy She asks you a number of questions to decide what essential oils to use and makes sure you are comfortable with the scents. Definitely the best massage I have ever received. I would recommend her!

I highly recommend the services here at Metaphysical Mama. Renee was more than accommodating with my schedule which was nice. The atmosphere was calm and soothing and even before my massage began I felt myself relaxing and unwinding. Especially painful areas due to a recent injury were given special attention. I was able to gain greater flexibility and less pain after my treatment. I will certainly be returning!
