Prior to working starting Touch Of Class Alterations in 2005, Mari worked as lead seamstress in the busiest bridal salons like Davids bridal and at the wedding accessory super store for over 10 years.

Mari decided to start Touch Of Class to offer brides a unique opportunity to have a master seamstress by their side, as they choose their wedding gown.

Mari is so amazing at what she does. Three of my bridesmaids had their dresses altered to perfection and my wedding dress looks amazing. I had her hem it, remove existing crystal belt and add a ribbon belt, make a deep sweetheart neckline and added a French bustle. I am so happy that I found Mari and her prices are very reasonable especially when you factor in her quality above others. Thanks Mari!!!

I didn’t know what to expect but looking at the before and after and I can’t stop smiling :)
You had a task of not only altering a bridal gown but doing so to one that had been mis-​altered by previous owner.
Reliable, Sweet, Attention to detail, Resassuring, etc! The thought of «you don’t leave until it is just how you want it» is so comforting when you are a stressed out bride.

Mari was amazing! She is very sweet so I immediately felt comfortable with her. I absolutely love how my dress came out, she does a FANTASTIC job! Her prices beat competitors any day. I am so glad I was recommended by a friend. She even took pictures of me in the final fitting so I could send it to my mom, she seemed just as excited as I was. :)

I was a little bit nervous about getting alterations. I have heard horror stories about alterations ranging from outrageous prices to just poor treatment in general. I did some research on places near my residence and kept coming back to Touch of Class alterations.
I used a foreign dress maker and had the dress shipped to me in the states. I was really nervous the dress might be poor quality but it actually turned out really nice, just a bit too big (stupid weight loss! Bummer huh?)
I called Mari and told her I needed some alterations done and that my wedding was in a month. She said no problem, she’d be happy to help! I asked if my having a non-​traditional gown would be an issue as it wasn’t white, champagne, beige, or any other the other light/​white traditional colors… my gown is a deep plum. She said that was no problem either. Whew!
The first fitting went well and her prices were extremely reasonable. She would have it done in 12 days. Sweet!
I had my follow-​up appointment today and wow! She did such an awesome job! She did everything I asked and I almost cried when I tried the dress on and it fit perfectly.
I was so happy with everything I hugged her twice. haha!
I can’t recommend Mari enough, she really did an amazing job and I am so happy.

First of all I wanted to say I never had a chance to meet mari, because i was completely stood up when i had booked my appointment with her over 2 months ago. I drove all the way to north phoenix from Gilbert to get my dress altered. i knocked on the door 5 times with my wedding dress in its bag over my shoulder. I heard annoying little dogs barking and going crazy. finally a man answered the door and was talking to me through the screen door. he wouldn’t come outside to talk to me. I figured it was because there was a no soliciting sign on their door. he told Mari was not available because she had surgery. OK, I understand, but she couldn’t let me know before hand?! my wedding is in 22 days! i waited till the last minute to schedule with her because i kept loosing weight, and I had 3 emails confirming the appointment date and time. Then the man was like are you sure she even emailed you, and you even had an appointment? i was very upset. I’m kind of glad it happened that way because, i would not want my bright white wedding gown altered in a house with dogs. it’s sad I’ve read good reviews about this woman. I was really upset how rude the man was and that he couldn’t even come outside to talk to me, and when he apologized to me, it didn’t feel real, and he was rude.

Mari is AMAZING!!! I called her on a Friday to see if she could get my dress altered by Wednesday. She said come in today and I’ll see what I can do. I took my dress to her and she had it done and ready to pick up on Tuesday! And it looks great! Thank you so much for an amazing job!

Mari’s alteration work is definitely worth the drive. She is always smiling and so excited to make your dress perfect. She strives to make her clients comfortable and happy and her experience shows in the quality of her work. I had about 6 things to do with my dress including making a flower to add to my birdcage veil from fabric of my dress, adding silk buttons to the back of my dress, removing tulle, hemline, etc. She was finished in 2 weeks and everything was perfect. She told me to come back 2 – 4 weeks before my wedding next year for any other alterations, rather than months in advance like other salons. Also, her prices are UNBEATABLE! Attention brides: Do not attempt to go anywhere else! Thank you so much, Mari!

i recommend touch of class for any bride who needs quick alterations at a reasonable price. my dress had to be shortened and the bodice had to be let out just a touch so i could breathe easier. my dress was done in one week and now fits perfectly. Mari, is a great seamstress, very friendly, and very professional.

I had done alterations by Mari already few times and I was never dissapointed. She works really fast, the prices are reasonable and the job is done really well. She is friendly and will discuss every single detail with you. I am very glad I found her and will continue working with her. I give her 5 stars for being profesional, fast working, detail oriented, friendly and always open to new suggestions and ideas. Highly recommend. She also makes amazing wedding dresses and she doesn’t overcharge like other places.
