Valleywide Process Service

DO NOT USE… I REPEAT… DO NOT USE. I do not like writing reviews, but I feel it is necessary to prevent anyone from getting denied on a motion or missing any time-​sensitive deadlines. I helped my mother file a garnishment and she found out that her usual process server had undergone surgery, so I advised her to shop around on google because the courier we use is on a larger scale. My mother found this company and told them that she needs a 24 – 48 service and they assured her that they would complete her service within 48 hours. They told her to meet them at what looked like their residential house and told her to wait outside. They tried charging her $ 125 to drop documents off at the bank. She said that was way higher than any other quotes, especially considering she already filed with the court and only needed a bank run. The woman then agreed to $ 75 — HUSTLERS!
One week later, I told my mother to make sure they filed her affidavit of service and provide a copy to her. When she called, the woman was very rude and told her that it’s a «process,» hence «process service,» when explaining why they didn’t serve the documents when they had promised. My mother called and told me that she is very confused and didn’t feel comfortable with the information provided to her from this company. I am a paralegal and also a law student; therefore, I am very aware of how the «process» works and decided to call the company myself. I asked the woman for an eta for the affidavit of service and she informed me that it was filled out and needs a signature from the process server. I found this odd considering the process servicer would be the only one who could fill out the affidavit of the events leading to the service. Why would he fill it out and not sign it? She assured me that the signature would be added that evening. I figured that they just put my mother off and by receiving the two phone calls from us that day, I assumed that they would get the affidavit to us. Five days later, we received nothing. I called her back and she must not have remembered me, because when I asked about when we would be receiving the affidavit, she replied with the same answer from five days prior! She said there was some errors on the affidavit and needed revision — WHAT!!! Were they drafting a Motion for us? What kind of revisions would an affidavit of service need that would take eight days?! So this must be the «process» in which my mother was informed of!!! I told her that I will not accept that answer and I expect the affidavit emailed to me by COB that day and gave her my email address. She emailed me within ten minutes with the affidavit of service and ensured that it was sent to the court for filing.
Were the documents served? Yes. Were they served within the time frame promised? No. Clearly, this business is not to be trusted for deadline purposes and the pricing is ridiculous for having to go to them. You probably have a 95% chance of a more pleasant experience with a different company.

I was quoted $ 50 last week to serve one man two sets of papers (unlimited attempts). The company and the registered agent for the company are the same person. I knew he would be evasive, and lie about his identity, so I recommended that the process server call as a potential customer, and have the individual come out to provide a quote for his mobile paint service. The secretary said that the process servers normally prefer to go to the door (not a good sign when this wasn’t necessary).
The individual was served last week by a man named Jackson. Because the individual refused to identify himself properly, the server was not able to complete service on the LLC. Jackson called me and told me that he would not be returning to serve the LLC.
I called the company on Friday to complain, and was told that the owner would call me back. I called again, and rather than put me in touch with the owner, they put me on the phone with Jackson, who I specifically requested NOT to talk to. Jackson then proceeded to tell me he was the owner (a lie according to State Filings), and that it would cost me another $ 100 to have the LLC served.
Jackson then called back and said that they hadn’t filed any papers with the Court and wanted to issue me a refund, but needed my credit card again. I told him that I didn’t feel comfortable providing it again based on the experience, and would file a charge back with my credit card company.
The owner of this company never became involved as I requested, and I believe this is a bait and switch operation. They advertise $ 20, charge $ 50, and when the job isn’t complete, ask for another $ 100.

I’m not sure what location I did business with, but I’d like to write a positive review for this business in general.
My boyfriend’s divorce was awful, and the custody battle has begun. He had to file paperwork to keep his ex from illegally removing his kids from the state, so we hurriedly did the relevant paperwork. I pretty much called these folks because they were the first process server I found, and they were able to serve the papers on his ex without a very long wait at all. They’ve apparently been in business for around 20 years, so they’re good at catching people. Also, every time I called to check on progress, the person who answered the phone was helpful and informative. They don’t charge a ton, either; their prices are comparable with other process servers.
The only ding is this: the papers were served on Monday, and I still don’t have a proof or affidavit of service. Having never had to call a process server before, I’m not sure how long that’s all supposed to take, so for all I know they’re still within reasonable turnaround time. Overall, I’d say this company provided me with great service, and I’d call them again and recommend them to others.

Finally got through to someone in management, everything got settled. I still say train your employees on proper customer care and open line communication with the client.

They were unprofessional and very disorganized and incompetent.

Horrible Choice to make when it comes to speed, efficiency, and communication, which is what you need to serve important papers to someone. They told me my family law papers would be served the next day so I paid and got no phone calls at the end of the day as promised, the BITCH on the phone called me a liar and copped a lot of attitude over the phone. 3 DAYS LATER THEY STILL DON’T EVEN KNOW HOW MANY ATTEMPTS HAVE BEEN MADE!!! You will feel like a sucker if you go with these ASSHOLES. Please, do yourself a favor and search for a REAL process serving company WITH better rates. NO $ 20 SERVING! BS! BS! BS! BS! BS! BS! BS! BS! BS! BS! BS! BS! BS!

This organization is a complete joke.
It is not $ 20, it is $ 50 or more, which honestly did not really bother me. But, after almost two weeks they had not made one attempt. They don’t call you, they don’t follow up with you… nothing.
Every time I called they asked for my name, the paper being filed and my phone number and would say «we’ll call you back with an update». They NEVER do call you back. Every time I called they acted like it was the first complaint and gave me the same run-​around.
Do not use these guys. They are sloppy, unprofessional and the only thing they can say is «I don’t know what your status is as the server has your file».

This company is unprofessional and will not return calls even when they promise they will. The seem very disorganized and my client may have to now reset her hearing because documents have yet to be confirmed served. No one can give you an answer as they say they have to «check with the process server». The process server must be on vacation as it has been over 1 week and I still have no answer. As a legal professional, if I handled my clients this way I would be out of business. I am sorry I did not see these reviews prior to hiring this horrible company.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I was referred to them and 1^st used them to serve my ex with mediation papers… they left the paperwork on the door which is not the same as being served. I could have done this?! Anyway, it worked out and in the spirit of second chances I used them again for my parent modification paperwork to be served and they waited 7 days to even attempt to serve them? I have now fired them and getting my $ 40 that they offered to do this for refunded back and I just paid another process server $ 75 because I need this done by tomorrow no thanks to Valleywide dragging there feet on this! Cindy and Brittany in there front office need to be fired and they need to have actual process servers who know how to do there job!

At a t time sensitive issue, employee «guaranteed» proper service of legal documents which had to be done on specific time and date. They arrived 5 ½ hours later and of course could not serve the papers. I was heading out of state and they knew of the circumstances and promised they would do what they guaranteed. There was a break down of communication and the owner stated he did now know the time — even thoug it was clearly stated on the forms. I would never trust them with timely documents ever again…
They advertise $ 20 and charged $ 60!

Don’t bother with these folks. I called them because they came up as $ 20 on a google search. But when I called them, they said it would be $ 75 even though our tenant was right down the street from them. When I asked about the $ 20, they said that was just their name, not their price. What a rip! I told them I thought that was misleading and false advertising and hung up. I found a process server who did the job for $ 50.

I hate to have to review on this as these things are sort of private but whatever.
We used these guys about a year ago. Having papers served is pretty private matter for most, but I’ll review on it anyways.
They are not $ 20 for one thing, more like $ 75 and up.
Also, they constantly hounded me for payment even after my check was cashed. Hounded in a thug sort of way. It took a lot of explaining and I had to mail them the cancelled check for them to understand I had paid them which was a little ridiculous.
However, they did get the paper served.
