VIP Taxi

Cam is the best! He picked us up after dinner, and we enjoyed his company so much that we booked with him the next morning to get to the airport. He’s got lots of knowledge of the area. He’s funny and very reliable. We left AZ a little happier having the opportunity to meet Cam. Plus, VIP’s fares were a bit less than the other services we used.

Yesterday, my family and I were car shopping with specifically a Prius in mind. After checking out a different dealership that gave us a terrible experience, we googled used Prius’ for sale and VIP Taxi came up first.
At first we were very confused because the dealership was from the outside only a taxi place, not an actual dealership. Yet not long after we had arrived and began to look around for the Prius’ on sale, we were politely greeted by Jeff and immediately offered a test drive after some brief paperwork was filled out (for safety purposes instead of spam). After the paperwork was completed, Jeff helped me learn how to control and drive the car. He gave me a suggested route that would let me have highway and city driving experience in the car– which most dealerships have never even offered. I was very impressed and relieved I would be able to test the car out on the actual freeway.
The test drive went incredibly well and we wanted to buy the car right away. With this in mind, we were expecting to pay for everything after the initial buying of the car, such as tags, tires, new oil, new battery, ext. but we were soon informed that he would pay for our tags, insurance for adding a new car, and even would give us 50% off any service my car needed in the future (including a ten dollar oil change and $ 25 dollar tires if mine went flat)! We were absolutely blown away by all of the benefits that were thrown in by buying this car!
The same day as we bought the car, Jeff brought us to the DMV and bought the tags and plate for my car, and even installed them on my car for us when he really did not have to– but he wanted to because we are his valued customers.
On top of all of that, we now have a warranty for my battery that states that VIP Taxi will fix my battery for a free or reduced price for over a year.
Most car dealerships love to manipulate the customer without them knowing to make them stay, but this company did the opposite; all of the papers we were signed through the entire process were very clear, honest, and safe; they made us feel like family since their intentions were so clear to us.
Next time anyone I know needs a car, I am definitely referring them to go back here.
⁵⁄₅ for customer service– I’ve never gone to a company in any industry that cares as much about their customers as this company does. Best car buying experience ever!

Today VIP taxi dropped the ball and that ball happened to be my senior citizen mother.
While I have used these guys plenty of times in the past, I cannot begin to tell you how incensed I am at the treatment they gave my 70 year old mother. Today she decided to go to Marshalls on her own using the taxi. Things started off just fine, she was picked up and taken to her destination (two miles away) and charged $ 6.00… This is usual and customary though a little expensive if you ask me.
It was on the return trip that things got out of hand. She called the cab and was immediately placed on hold for what amounted to be 5 minutes before talking to anyone. Then when she got through to someone they were polite and told her to wait and her ride would be there shortly.
She proceeded to wait for 45 minutes and still no sign of a cab and nothing from the cab company. She called to inquire and was placed on an immediate hold for another 5 min before she was told that her cab would be there in 10 minutes. Which, to their credit, it was…

Here is brief feedback about my experience this morning… Ian was excellent, on time, engaging, offered water gum and candy, and very professional! I like him as a driver very much. I am a business traveler and travel regularly and consequentially use VIP alot. They have been on time at my house 100% of the time and their airport pickup service is a luxury at a very affordable price, less than it costs me to leave my car at the airport. They are family owned and I can tell so it feels good to use them.

I was in Phoenix last week on a business trip. My hotel recommended VIP Taxi. I rode with them four times. The first two rides were good. The third ride was awful, featuring a driver who talked about getting sober, how awful his life was, how much he doesn’t give s — - about what people think of him. And then, when I brought out my wallet, he leaned over the seat to see how many dollars I was counting out for him. The 4^th ride was the worst. I made a call at 2:09 pm. By 2:35 no one had come to get me. I made a phone call. «You’re next.» I said, «I don’t know what that means.» By 3:00, no one had come so I flagged down another company. I won’t be using VIP again because they made me feel like a VUP.

Rather disappointed. Called several hours in advance for a ride to the airport. After several follow-​up calls of being told «10 minutes» and 45+ minutes late, they showed up. I get it, things happen just don’t lie. Now I’m lucky if I make my flight.

This company was not very helpful to my needs. My son and his mom came in on the greyhound by sky harbor airport this morning at 3am. They said they need a booster for my 7yr old son. Well they didn’t have a driver with one that was available. Too bad so sad I had to go with another taxi company that would bring them to my residence in Phoenix. Sorry had to give you guys 1 star. …you should always be accommodating to any customer needs as a taxi company. Will never call or use this place again.

I’ve been using this company twice a day pretty much for the last year. recently when I’ve called I can nor get through to get a cab. I’ve waited on hold anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes which is ridiculous. the drivers lately have been rude and incompetent. wait times are taking up to 35 minutes. I don’t know what’s going on but you’ve really gone down hill lately. its left me no choice but to start using UBER. They are cheaper and they don’t drive so slow to try and make the light so they can sit there and charge me wait time. They also don’t purposely go the long way to make more money off me. maybe you need to train the drivers better and teach them not to take advantage of the rider.

The lady I called said it’d take 20 – 25 mins. Next thing u know, I got a call that a driver was only 5 – 10 mins away, and RON showed up as happy and pleasant as can be! Total was $ 5.87 for my 1.5 mile drive, and he said «if u have the cash, $ 5 will do»! Who’s ever met a driver who doesn’t ask full fare lol?!? I know it’s just 87 cents, but to me it was the thought that counts! Nice guy, clean SMOKE FREE smelling cab… What more an u ask for!

Weird experience! Called and asked for a taxi to the airport. Arrival time to my house 15 min. The woman that answered the phone said they can’t guarantee a time. I said ok then I will use a different company. Someone else called me back and said they would be there in 15 min. Keep in mind my house is literally five minutes away so I didn’t consider this an unreasonable request. The guy showed up and didn’t come up to the house to grab my bags and instead waited for me to bring everything down the drive way. I think that might have been because he had some kind of an issue. He was coughing and spitting phlegm all over the sidewalk. I got dropped off at the terminal but not in front of curb side so again had to drag my bags he didn’t bother to take them over. I did make it to the airport in one piece and the fare was reasonable but I am only 15 min away. Can’t wait for the city to build additional light rail stops! If I have to drag my bags I would rather do it for a quarter of the cost. Weird weird weird!

They were 20minutes late the first time and I was late for my conference. PLUS then they dropped my mom and auntie off at the wrong hotel even though I had given them the exact address. The driver asked my 80 year old mother how to get to the hotel and of course she didn’t know.
I considered this a fluke and used them again. They were still late but not as bad
Then they were late again.
The next time they were over 10 minutes early and I was told they’d «only» wait until the time it was called for. Even when we had waited multiple times when they were late.
Then again, today, they are over 20minutes late.
They should at least give a courtesy call when they are going to be that late for a reservation so alternate plans can be nade. I made advanced reservations for ALL these situations.
I’m still waiting for them and now they are 35 minutes late. Unacceptable.

My driver Mohammad was fantastic. He took me to and from the grocery store and even helped with my bags. I would totally use this company again.

I used VIP Taxi for the first time today, and I was impressed with the service. I took cab 7606 to Phoenix Sky Harbor. The cab was clean and the driver was pleasant and arrived on time. I also thought the rate was very reasonable. I’m sure that customer experiences can vary since it’s a large company with many different drivers, but I’ll definitely use VIP again. I am also impressed by the owner’s responses to the negative reviews where customers didn’t have such a great experience. It seems like he really makes an effort to make things right.

We scheduled a taxi two hours in advance got email confirmation and assumed we were set. The pickup time came and went with no call or car showing up so I called the number and after five minutes of canned recordings, I finally reached an agent who asked if we were at a house or apt, then said he’d place the request. (If that was an issue why didn’t they just ask earlier?)
Then he said he’d call me back with eta. After 10 minutes with no call back I called again. Spoke to another incompetent person. She said there was no one available in the area so we were queued but she could provide no eta!!! Well good thing we weren’t needing a ride to the airport! I asked to speak to a supervisor and was transferred to someone else. I asked if they were a supervisor and was told there are no supervisors on duty on weekends!
This was the most incompetent useless set of people I’ve ever dealt with.
Stay away from VIP (Taxi Magic) if you don’t want to be stranded somewhere!

We used this taxi service twice with 2 different drivers and had a fun cab ride both times! The drivers were friendly and tried to take us routes to save us fare which fares are cheap anyway! We used another taxi service and had a much different experience so VIP will be my go to.

Excellent service! Pro tip: call them instead of taking Tucson International Airport’s on-​site car service. They charge MUCH less and are friendly.

Call me a regular! Big, big fan!
VIP Taxi are my new set of wheels these days. I call them and they’re here lickity split! I’ve been relying on them as my primary set of transportation as I can’t drive. (No right foot until my cast comes off.)
Not only are the operators super duper polite on the phone, the drivers are eager to help. The majority of them offer to ferry items up to my apartment. (I live up a flight of stairs.)
The cabs are brand new and top of the line. The drivers immediately plug in my destination into their GPS, removing any of the guessing game of how to best navigate. I definitely like these guys.
UPDATE: My discount fob arrived in the mail! I’m putting that good guy to use! $ 5 off for $ 25 fares!

I’ve used VIP taxi for about a year because its the only company in the area that the Taxi Magic app assigns.
I’ve had terrible service from them. The cabbies are often dirty and at best smell of heavy smoke, but I can deal with that. Their biggest problem is that they can’t get an address straight. They only pick me up from 2 places, my work and home, and they have yet to go to the correct address. Even when I call the dispatch before hand to make sure they have step by step directions. The worst was today. I have a flight this am and called last night for a 5:30 am pickup. By 545 I see that no cab had been dispatched so I called them. Their response: we can’t find a cab in your area, we’ll call you when we do. Even when I reminded them of my flight they had nothing to say. I’m done. Never again.

I’m a person who loves deals and coupons and tries to get the best price for everything. I somehow got a coupon for this taxi service that was $ 2 off of a $ 10 ride or $ 5 off a $ 25 ride. I figured that when I first came to Tucson the taxi ride was a little over $ 30 so this coupon would be useful when going back to the airport at the end of my trip. The receptionist at my hotel called the taxi for me and then I got in the cab. The driver was very friendly and we had a nice conversation throughout the whole ride.
Here comes my big complaint though… when we pulled up my taxi fare showed as $ 24.50 on the screen. «Are you freaking kidding me!». Seriously you can’t round it up to $ 25 or just drive in another circle to make it meet that goal. I gave him the coupon and he said he could only take off $ 2. If i had just made another stop light I would have gotten $ 5 off. How annoying. So instead of paying $ 20 before tip I had to pay $ 22.50. Yes I am a big baby for that little few dollars. I am glad though that it was cheaper going back to the airport than from it and the man was friendly as well. He didn’t have change for $ 100 though and so I had to run in real fast to grab it. If I paid with credit card he said he couldn’t put the discount. Its ok. The taxi did come fast after being called and it was a smooth ride so I guess he was following the rules and I thank him for the drive.

Had a taxi scheduled for 6:30 am. The car was booked and confirmed through the TaxiMagic application on the iPhone the day before. Long story short, they never showed and when I called them they weren’t helpful. Cheers to almost missing my flight.

I am always quite paranoid about getting a cab to the airport after an episode of 30-​minute delay (from a cab company I will not name here, but will never utilize its service again).
I decided to try my luck with VIP. I downloaded the App TaxiMagic, called VIP Taxi multiple times to make sure, and prayed a little before I went to bed.
Then, my cab arrived at 3:40 AM, 5 minutes earlier than scheduled. Driver was courteous and the car was clean. Needless to say, I was very happy with its punctuality!

With a healthcare show to manage and needing taxi’s numerous times during the day, Manny helped ease the stress.

Never used their service, and never will. Yesterday I was driving along side one of their cars in Glendale, and one of their drivers~a 400 lb. behemoth of a man rolls down his window and litters a bunch of paper all over the street. I tried to call the company, but evidently their is no supervisor EVER available, and no way to even leave a message. Rude operators too~I’m done here.
