**IMPORTANT: I am temporarily teaching overseas. I will change my Yelp page once I return. Thanks!
I specialize in teaching pop, rock, r&b, worship, musical theater, and country. I also teach nuances of genre and style, performance skills, and how to work through stage fright, which I had for years!
History
Established in 2002.
Singer songwriter, front woman of indie rockers Dearspeak, and named by Phoenix New Times as «the most radio ready, local act going right now», Ree Boado has a lot of real world experience to offer students. With a diverse musical history ranging from pop, r&b, punk, emo, 80’s soft rock, to big band, classical, musical theater, and 3 years of singing in a black gospel choir, Ree has gained a rich vocal texture and dynamic musical style that has allowed her opportunities to share the stage with artists such as Taking Back Sunday, Dove Award winner Chris August, Grammy nominee Sophie B. Hawkins, American Idol’s Brooke White, and Stephen Egerton of the punk band Descendents. She has played music venues, coffee shops, houses, bars, universities, festivals, and arenas, nationally and internationally. (…continued in the Bio section)

In 2011, Ree donated several songs towards a compilation album designed to help the victims of sex trafficking recover. In 2012, this album was featured in a documentary called Volviendo that won the MTV Exit and UNICEF International award for best documentary on human sex trafficking.
Ree studied voice at Grand Canyon University, but gained most of her vocal power and control after graduating by studying with vocal coaches of artists such as Natasha Bedingfield, Hayley Williams of Paramore, and Taylor Swift. She incorporates much of these techniques, and has taught students from ages 8 – 50. Ree has a special sensitivity to students with stage fright, since she battled that for years herself. Along with teaching voice and playing gigs, Ree is also a mentor for abuse survivors, and a singing princess character for kids birthday parties. She wears many hats!
