Petrucci’s Ice Cream – Water Ice

We had dinner at a local Mexican restaurant and saved room for dessert to eat at this ice cream place. It had good reviews so we were excited to try it. We ordered Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream and a Mango Ice. I was bummed that both were only «ok». There were very few chocolate Chips or Cookie Dough bits in the ice cream. The Mango Ice wasn’t memorable. I think sometimes when people give a great review it is because they have been eating at a place for years and there are a lot of good memories mixed in with the flavors. Then someone like me who is from out of town tries it and is not as impressed. I think this might be the case.

I called this ice cream shop about 20 minutes before they were closing. They told me they were still open, which made me super excited. I was really in the mood for soft serve ice cream. The staff was Super friendly and the ice cream was delish. I Strongly recommend.

I adore the color of the place! It is attractive and how could you not wanna make a quick stop on a hot summer day? The ice cream and water ice is always good and the service is consistently good as well.

I have never gone to Petrucci’s but my office brings them in for employee appreciation days. I’ve tried their water ice and ice creams, and love it. Smooth, creamy, delicious. Also, the guys who serve from their ice cream truck at my office, as always very sweet, respectful, and very efficient. Also, they serve really nice, generously sized scoops. No skimping. Congrats guys! Good job!

This place has really tasty vanilla soft serves. Very creamy and smooth. MMMM!
It’s a very simple shop they have soft serve, water ice, smoothies, frozen banana, ice cream, soft pretzels, etc. There are benches in front where people were hanging out.
Came here around 8pm on a weekeday mid August. Not too crowded. Few groups hanging out on the benches. Quiet nice atmosphere.
The girls working there were very friendly.
So five stars!

Staff is super friendly, custard is thick and creamy, carousel keeps my 3 y/​o entertained. Perfect spot! :)

Mega-​Blends all day, every day! They put DQ to shame with the quality of soft serve ice cream they use. Open late every night too. Doggie Sundaes available for your pooch, my dog loves them.

Love the employees. They are all very nice. The ice cream is awesome. Wish they would stay open longer. Then when they sell Trees during November into December is great!

We love this local treasure and the kids love the mini carousel and all around pink-​ness :)

The ice cream here is fresh and delicious! There’s parking in the back and has seats for to allow you to enjoy the ice cream.

I take my family here every Saturday afternoon for Ice Cream during the Spring and Summer. My only regret is I joined Unilocal too late to write a review while they were in the swing of the season. I have literally tried every flavor of ice cream and they are all delicious.

Stopped in to Petrucci’s last night for the first time and loved it. I had soft-​serve ice cream (a twist in a cone with rainbow jimmies) and my husband had butter pecan ice cream on a waffle cone. There is plenty of parking, plenty of seating (all outdoor, but some is covered), and a lot of options as far as what to have.
The staff serving the ice cream was pleasant and efficient, but I was most struck by the friendliness and personal responsibility taken by a man we met there who seemed to be the owner or manager. He was outside wiping down tables and when I asked him if there were other Petrucci’s he gave me a brief history of the store and then followed up by asking how our service had been and how the ice cream was — both were great, of course. I was really pleased he had taken time to speak with us and seemed genuinely concerned that we had a quality experience. You just don’t find this personal touch everywhere. It really sets them apart.
We don’t live in the area, but we’ll be sure to stop back next time we’re passing through!

We love Petrucci’s!!! The kids love all the flavors of water ice. The ice cream is to die for and the milkshakes water in your mouth. The prices are great also! So much better than Dairy Queen and Rita’s. We bring the kids every week in the summer!

Very good place to get Italian Ice. I especially like the gellati. From what I understand they make all of their ices themselves. They do accept credit cards but do the frowned on practice of charging a fee for the convenience. That might have knocked a star off of this review, but the ice is just that good that it makes the convenience fee worth it.

I’ve been here many times over the years, and have never once been disappointed. Whether you like milkshakes, soft serve, water ice, or whatever else Petrucci’s will not disappoint.

Amazing custard and ice cream, and they have cotton candy!!! (like I need cotton candy, but I can’t help myself) Their ice cream pies will make you forget about ever eating another store bought ice cream cake.
It can get busy on nice days but the staff is quick and can knock out long line in a few short minutes. Cute seating area makes it fun to hang out and enjoy your treat while you chat with all your neighbors who all ended up there too!
Beats Rita’s by a mile, and considerably cheaper too.

What can you say, its ice cream damn it! It’s a town favorite with all kinds of yummy flavors that has a feel of the old days when you’d be served your favorite ice cream by a local family. Usually all of the local high school kids work there for the summer and I have to say that they’re always enthusiastic and have a smile on their faces (oh yeah, they’re working with ice cream all day). Anyway, i like to stop here on a boiling hot summer day to cool myself off with a water ice. At night, that’s when I go for the ice cream which I still can’t pick a favorite but I’m working my way up the flavor ladder.

SO MUCH BETTER THAN YOUR BELOVED RITA’S!!!
petrucci’s makes amazing water ices,
great ice cream,
and even good pretzels.
the line is never too long
and its worth any amount of waiting anyway
their ices have fresh fruit bits in them
and their ice cream is so smooth and creamy,
the only drawback would be the sometimes difficult parking situation,
but that’s definitely not a reason not to go.

Petrucci’s water ice will have you saying «Rita who?»
The perfect place to go for an ice cream cone or gelati on a hot summer night. Plenty of benches for people-​watching, too!
Cotton candy gelati = heaven.
