First time visitor and I was not disappointed! I love visiting different yarn stores as they inspire me so much. This particular shop was loaded with beautiful yummy delicious yarn, with lots of range in colors and weights. I have to point out that this was the first yarn store that had a very neon ombré sock yarn which is something I’ve been searching everywhere for! Yes! Also, I walked in during a knitting class, which can feel awkward sometimes but not the case here. I was warmly greeted, explained how the rooms were organized mostly by weight and I even showed my yarn binder to the class. I left with a lot of yarn and I will be back for more. Technical notes: the parking lot is small but there is extra parking in a lot across the street at a park. The offer great discounts and a punch card where you can receive 20% off of your next purchase(after you’ve accumulated 10 visits resulting in spending a min $ 10). They also offer a discount for posting finished work to their Facebook page.

Purls of Wisdom is a true little gem in Kimberton. Their yarn selection is nice, and I can rarely walk out without at least 2 – 3 kinds. Their prices are perfectly in line for the yarn they carry, and often have great little deals on occasion. They also have a decent selection of needles and patterns as well. The store offers a regular«knit night» and several class options that I wish I could attend more regularly. What sets this place apart is their service. The ladies that work there are both knowledgeable and friendly. It’s hard to find both but they all for the bill. They offer insights on projects, help with yarn recommendations, and even remember your name too! A stop in here is a highlight of the week for me, and I always leave feeling like I’ve had a nice visit with an old friend. If you are in the area, I strongly encourage you to check it out!
