The motivation behind services provided by e​-Ref​er​enceDesk​.com is Joe Ferguson, currently of Pickens, SC. Upon his arrival to Virginia after retiring from the West Virginia Department of Transportation, Joe formed Web Marketing Services, Inc in January of 2005 with the Web site e​-Ref​er​enceDesk​.com as it primary asset. In January of 2013, he relocated to Pickens, South Carolina, and Web Marketing Service LLC was organized in South Carolina the same month.
