Academy of Body Art

If your serious about becoming properly trained and knowledgeable in the Body Art industry, there is no other choice! I have looked into other training programs and they fall way short. If you care about seriously learning this aspect of your craft Cheri is a great teacher! Her Academy is located in a state of the art Tattoo Studio! No short cuts are ever taken! Their is no substitution for learning it the right way the first time!
You are able to see top notch artist demonstrate the set-​up and break-​down for tattooing and piercing. Every one is friendly and very helpful, they will answer any questions you may have concerning the prevention of cross contamination which is a vital aspect of becoming certified.

I really loved Cheri’s class she really narrows everything down… really liked the way she explains to you until you understand what she is talking about…

Cheri Is an amazing teacher and so knowledgeable. She makes you feel confident in preparing for what things you can fix and improve as a body piercer/​tattoo artist.
I recommend this class to anybody who’s new or a veteran to this industry. She’s really nice and answers all your questions. The class is long, but with all the relevant information, it’s worth it.
The studio where you take the class is a really nice one and the guys working there seem to really enjoy what they do. I’m definitely taking her class next year.

I am so glad I decided on The Academy of Body Art for my bloodborne pathogens training. I have done the same training with other instructors I have to say it does not compare to the kind of the thorough and up to date information that The Academy of Body Art gives. Cheri is a great combination of knowledgeable trainer and friendly person sharing the same industry in her own way. she gets personal and explains things so you can relate it to your own environment. She shares stories and shows pictures of her own experiences. I will definitely will be seeing Cheri again next year for my renewal.

I have been practicing Permanent Makeup for many years I have always held a currant Osha card and took their tests every yr. but Cheri gave me so much more
i needed to know about Blood Borne Pathogens that everyone in this industry needs to know to be safe and the safety of the public number one.
It was a fun class she is a great instructor I look forward to next years class!

I love Cheri’s teaching style!!! She is a very knowledgeable, personable, and a great instructor.
I love the fact that she not only gives you the tools you need to develop a common sense approach on how cross contamination travels, is contained and eliminated, but, she also teaches in a simple, easy to understand manner, thats easy to apply. If your at work, and something comes up that your not sure about… The information she has taught you has already become an intuitive tool to problem solve with.
Cheri has been very helpful to me and so many others this year. I can’t thank her enough for helping us to complying with the new AB300.

It seems easy to get overwhelmed by the vast amount of knowledge that Cheri demonstrates, but everything was either hands on or taught in a manner that was simple to comprehend, even if this class wasn’t a requirement, if you’re serious about your art form, then take it ASAP. Clients feel so much better when they see that Academy of Body Art certificate hung up in your shop, they know that some dirty bastard isn’t about to touch their skin. :) This course is great for anyone that never wants to be anything less then properly informed and legitimate.

I gotta star saying THANK YOU Academy of Body Art, Special Thanks to Cheri, If You Really take This Profession seriously, this is the class You have to take, is a never ending learning process, always something coming up, new regulations and this class puts You Ahead of the Game. This class has Help Me a Lot, I was careful before I took the class, But I was Also Doing Wrong thinks that I thought it was right to do so, but it just gonna make sense if is explain the right way! and Cheri Takes care of that. I have just recently taken Cheri’s class and wow was it an experience. I «thought» I knew bloodborne pathogens but boy was I in the dark. Cheri cleared all that up and know I think I’m a germaphobe.
