History
Established in 2009.
The Lopez family has been in business since 1967 serving California and Baja California. The family business started as a grocery store serving the border town of San Ysidro. It soon grew to both a grocery store and a wholesale division. The wholesale division grew by leaps and bounds, and in 1981 the company purchased a 20,000 sq. ft. building.
In 1992 Hermanos Lopez expanded into Baja California Mexico by way of Bodegas Herlomex. Here the relationship with Westco flourished further as Bodegas Herlomex was one of the first suppliers of Westco products in Mexico.
In 2008 BakeMark USA approached Hermanos Lopez, Inc. with a grand idea. Leopoldo Lopez Jr. form a new corporation with his offspring, Rosa E. Lopez, Gloria Lopez, Armando Lopez, Leopoldo Lopez III, Carlos Lopez, and Geovani Lopez. The newly formed corporation Coast 2 Coast Foods, Inc. DBA BakerBodega was formed. The project would be operated by Leopoldo’s eldest grandson Emmanuel Rodriguez. Bakers Bodega was finally born.
Meet the Manager

Manager
Emmanuel Rodriguez helped establish the first BakersBodega outlet store operated by Coast 2 Coast Foods, Inc. in Pico Rivera, California. As its manager, his duties included identifying the Pico Rivera location, designing and purchasing fixtures, managing the build-out of the store, hiring and training the store staff and managing the purchasing from BakeMark USA and other suppliers. He is transitioning into a full-time management position with the franchiser, and will contribute his hands-on operating experience to developing our new franchisees.
Daniella Rodriguez is the Education and Marketing Director for her family’s business, BakersBodega. She is eager to share and bring forth what BakersBodega has to offer to Bakeries, doughnut Shops, Panaderias, Gelatin Artists, and to the home bakers. Daniella hopes to share the ingredients, supplies, and education needed by creative and innovative bakers & decorators in this fast-growing and flourishing baking industry.
