Inspired by the founder’s experiences on a tea estate in the beautiful plantations of the Nilgiris, the brand is a story of passion and romance caught between the 2 globally polar yet similar cities of New York & Bombay– It aims to capture the silence caught in between the chaos: a secret in your diary, a romantic glance between two strangers, or just the solace in a single cup of tea!

Ami grew up around tea estates but after her own personal journey of working in branding, ended up following in her father’s footsteps of creating a relationship with tea. She believes in sincerity and sells only her own personal selection of directly sourced blended teas and herbs.

The name Chai Diaries is a reflection of revisiting your passion in the journey of life.

Says Ami, «Borrowing lightly from the simple reference of writing undeterred dreams in our journals or private diaries, we often choose a different career path. But along the way, there is a calling — a feeling of revisiting our passion-​of doing what we love. And that is Chai Diaries. Pausing, having a cup of fresh tea and re-​starting on a journey we were meant to be pursuing.»
