Was going there for awhile… but soon the owner got rude… ask if she could do my nails and she lied that she wasn’t going to be there and she was… not happy at all… not going back.

I give this salon 5 stars because this is now my permanent nail salon. I have traveled to Carson, La Mirada, Lakewood & Cerritos to look for the right nail salon.
I know plenty of women have their own style of nails but the ladies here know how to adjust to your style. I’m only one person but I see other women styles & they are 99% spot on. The employees are very nice, HONEST, understanding and positive.
Studio nails is very reasonable with their prices. LADIES, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. Just tell the lady pampering you exactly how you want your nails in the beginning and they will work their best in perfecting your vision.
Busy days are always on the weekend so if you’re in a rush I advise you NOT to walk in unless you make an appointment a day before. Nonetheless, ask for Lily or Tony more manicure if you ever decide to try it!

I really tried to like this place, especially since they are located conveniently close to me but they’re fucking assholes. There’s simply no other way to put it. Why would they talk in their language while working on customers? My left hand can do a better job than these women, my manicure and pedicure doesn’t last a week. The «boss» is a pervert and he’s gross. Last time I come here because I am not going to be giving them my business for the poor quality of service they deliver. Also, I think it’s worth noting that I did notice that the customers who get gel and acrylic done get better service than those of us who only want pedicure and manicure without having to put at risk the health of our nails and hands. The machines they use are uv light, exposure to this can cause cancer to your hands if you don’t apply sunscreen along with the damage to your nails due to chemicals. That’s a price for beauty I am not interested in paying.
Nail salons should post that or warn their customers of these dangers if they are legitimate businesses.

3 times, I’ve tried making appointments. They say there’s no wait, and to just come in. I drive there, and they’re busy, saying I have to wait about 5 min, then it’s longer. Not only do I waste gas, but my time as well. It’s ridiculous when they KNOW I was a regular customer and would tip well. Never coming back after I’ve given them chance after chance!

Had to wait longer than expected but other than that it was worth it! Nails came out exactly how I wanted and I’m pleased

Really nice place with nice colors and a clean environment. Negatives: nickel and dime you here! They were gonna charge me $ 3 extra to use an OPI color on my pedicure. –_​– also the nail take off is $ 10 here :0 refills :$ 15 and acrylic $ 25…My friend and I waited an hour and a half… We got here at 1:20 it is now 3:10 and we still have to do our pedicures. I just wish I can find a good nail salon already that I enjoy going to, every new place I try just isn’t good enough or their prices suck.
Also misleading when it says gel manicure and Pedicure combo $ 35, and right under it says you can use your student ID to get 10% off… Well I sat down and waited three hours for them to tell me I couldn’t use it at the end that it only applies to SOME things… Uh very annoying. I didn’t tip because obviously tip is included there, I didn’t know what the «special» was if its $ 35 everywhere you go. This place is nothing special.

I found my new nail spot! I took my mom to get a mani and pedi and we are very picky. We loved the services and worth the wait. We were greeted and instructed to sign in and we waited a good 15 min no big deal. We were seated together and they began our pedicures. The best part was that we were not pressured into services. BIG plus. After our pedicured my mom got a manicure while I had my nails taken off and a new set put on. My new set came out amazing short and wide at the ends perfect gel finish. I will be back in 2 weeks for sure.
They have a nice selection of colors and brands, friendly and helpful and not pushy. My pedicure, nail removal, full set, callus remover and gel was only $ 55! My moms mani and pedi was $ 30! So cheap and so great!

Just left and I could not be more disappointed. Lisa did my nails and she did an awful job. When j asked her to fix them, she walked away. Make sure she doesn’t do your nails, she sucks and has a shitty attitude. Will NOT be returning

This place is only even getting one star for its polish selection and nice chairs. Other than that, STAY AWAY. a few months ago I decided to try a new place than where I’d been going the last year and a half. I’ve never had so many nails break in those 2.5 months than I have in my life. No exaggeration. I wrote the first ones off as flukes but when it kept happening, I knew. The last time I went, I told the lady that ever since coming here my nails have been breaking. She told me it was my old acrylic so she completely replaced a few nails. Less than 4 hours later, one of the new nails broke. I knew it wasn’t «old acrylic.» A few days later, one of my nails broke to the point where I bled. That was a first for me. In addition to all this, they suck at shaping. Seriously just stay away. This place has nothing to offer but broken nails.

So i was refferred here by my lovely aunt who was introduced to this place by her daughter. Let me tell you it’s a nice place, nice décor plenty of workers ect. Well i was not pleased with my nails. First off the shape was not what i asked for, fine its ok no worries. He finesh my nails and seriously one thumb was oval the other almond. The guy says it’s your fingers… then this other female worker comes and tells me oh no its not the work ita your nails and fingers they are not the same. Ummm ok i said ok maybe they are not the same but at least the shape should be the same i have never had anyone tell me it was my fingers the reason shape of acrylic nails cant be the same. She seemed to get upset and started to speak jiberish in her langiage to the rest of the workers… Then the male proceeds to tell me its ok wr all have different fingers i fix it for you. This is my wtf moment. I look at this broad like are you kidding me she clearly looked upset because the male proceeds to i asume tell her to calm down. I dont know maybe it was me maybe it my «finger» but she needs a lesson in customer service. oh and they kept forgeting to do my grandmothers manicure and eyebrow wax, i had to remind them at least 10 times to not forget about her. They clearly didnt like to be called out on the uneven crooked mismatch nail so they where not giving fs about us. Oh well drive was far from my house anyways, i didnt love it i was hoping i did. I wish i couls find a nail place where i could understand when they are talking shit to me or about me in their language. Its rude and unnecessary. Mind you i was not rude which i can be in 2 seconds. They have a huge selection of nail polish. Maybe some people will love it has over all a good rating.
When it came time to pay i was given a «$ 5discount» i paid $ 67 for a plain manicure and eyebrow wax for gramma, a regular pedicure and full set of crooked uneven shaped nails for me. Now looking back at the situation im am proud of myself for not going bananas on th and given them a hard time. At one point all the workers where laughing i presume at me .or what was going on. Save ypur money im sure there are plenty of places with better service and quality. Ps my nails are the ugliest set i have had in my life!

Very nice place. I wanted to try somewhere new so I decided to try Studio nails since it was so close to my house. And by surprise I was very please with the service I received. Lily did my nails and I was very happy that she did. I was a little skeptical about having her shape my nails into a coffin shape due to me not being very satisfied with the results of another nail technician at another shop. But I figured what the hell let me give her a chance and to my surprise she did a fantastic job. We talked and laughed a little bit while she finished my nails and then I went on with my day. I will be visiting studio nails again in the very near future.

This place is BULLSHIT!!! I been coming here since they first open for my services. Especially my eyelash extension. I been a very loyal customer. I tip well 20−25% of my work. I brought many customers. So you would think they treat me a little kinder.
So yesterday 4÷11÷16 4:16pm I called Lilian. And asked if she can fit me in for a eyelash refill she told me she’s booked but go ahead and come tomorrow anytime is fine. She will be free. I told her I’ll give her a call before I come in.
So I called today 4÷12÷16 4:12pm again to tell her I’ll be stopping by. She tells me she’s no longer doing eyelash extension after 4 because it’s to dark. Mind you I been ALWAYS coming at 4:30 & it’s spring … The sun DOESN’T set until 7ish. I asked her since when? How are you going to change the rule last minute. I am a loyal customer who been coming since you first open (even during the winter when it was dark). It wasn’t a problem then & it wasn’t a problem yesterday. She like I can’t see that’s why. If you can’t see after 4:00pm then what are doing cutting people nails & cuticle. Isn’t that a safety issue?!
Oh btw… The pedicure price is steeper than usually. I don’t mind paying more but why should I if the quality isn’t there. My gel manicure always chip by the third day & Wanda shapes my nail uneven. And her polish skills is very poor.
There’s a billon nail shop in Southern California… I’ll gladly to take my $ and generous tipping to any of them before I come back here. You just lost a very loyal customer. And I’m going to make sure to pass the message on to all of the people I recommended.

I am always so pleased after having my nails, pedicure, and wax done here, since their Opening, (I’m here every 2 weeks).
But not so pleased as I was today with Wanda doing my pedicure, she was ABSOLUTELY AWESOME.
I was so thrilled on her professionalism and how efficient she was in getting the JOB DONE
Lilian is my go to person on keeping my nails looking freshly done, and I have never been disappointed.
The only other insight I can give is if you don’t have time to wait, you better have an appointment, considering they get very, very, busy.
I have always said you get what you pay for, and I don’t mind paying a lil extra for a JOB WELL DONE

First time here too. Arrived early for my appointment and was promptly seated. I came for a fill and a pedicure. I received both services from different women.
The pedicure was rough and painful. The towel placed on my feet was too hot and the woman cut my cuticles painfully short. I bled on several occasions.
My fill was done beautifully and quickly.
The salon was clean and bright, the employees were nice.

Very good price for a gel removal plus manicure ($ 15) but the girls was a bit rough and left my nails too long which resulted in them breaking off because they were so thin after the gel removal. Very clean place with good color selection and plenty of parking.

Just left. I waited for 20 minutes and did not have a single soul greet me. I signed in, I saw one other person waiting and when I asked how long the wait was I got an, «I don’t know.». Sorry but, «I don’t know» isn’t going to cut it for a kindergarten teacher who has a 9 month old baby at home and has to do things quickly.
Pass.

I honestly was on my way to Topline Nails which is just across the street, but was a bit hesitant after reading reviews and just as I was about to turn into the plaza– the purple sign for Studio Nails & Spa stood out and I decided to give it a try. Nancy was the one who did my Gel Mani-​Pedi and she did a wonderful job. I love my nails! I’ve gone to places that don’t file them the way I like or mess up on my pedicure, but that was not the case here. Nancy was super sweet and friendly and did such a great job on not only doing my mani-​pedi the way I liked, but also did very well on timing. The price was reasonable and the salon was very clean which is definitely something you want to see. The equipment being used was clean; I was able to see them cleaning it right after they finished with me.
Throughout the end of our conversation I also found out a friend, Stacy works here as well. Stacy does an amazing job as I used to get my nails done by her at a previous salon.
Definitely recommend this Nail Salon to anyone who’s looking for a place to go.

Wish I could give zero stars!!! Worst place ever.. got the most painful pedicure of my life! I told the lady it was painful and she laughed it off and continued.. Do not waste your money there… pay the extra 5 or 10 bucks somewhere else where they know what they’re doing. and there’s no point in them covering the tubs with REUSED plastic liners.
Update!!! Don’t think the staff at this nail shop is qualified to be diagnosing people.. my feet were in perfect condition before walking into this place… and had an actual PHYSICIAN look at my toe nail and it was due to careless yanking on my skin with dirty equipment.. I did not enjoy having to pay extra for medical care following the worst pedicure of my life! So glad I don’t live anywhere near this place!
And if my toe nail was already supposedly «aggrevated» as the staff stated in their attempt to pin the problem on the customer.. Why didn’t the staff mention it to me and offer any suggestions!!!

I was really excited to try out this nail salon based on the Unilocal reviews. I’ve been to a couple nearby salons and have been unimpressed. I have been looking for a clean nail salon near my job that does a good job for a lower price than my local salon where a regular manicure (not gel) costs $ 25.
I tend to get turned off by salons that reuse nail files and use unsanitized cuticle clippers. I’ve tried 3 nail salons in Pico and all, including this one, use the same nail files and what appear to be the same, unsanitized cuticle clippers and pushers. Yuck.
Aside from the cleanliness factor, my gel mani came out very streaky and with air bubbles and the application was overall sloppy. I had to ask the manicurist to redo, and instead of starting over, she told me the streakiness was due to the color I had selected and asked that I pick a new one… Then she just applied the new color directly over the bubbly mess of the first color. I was frustrated at that point, so I just paid and leftover she was finished. I left with a messy, streaky, bubbly gel manicure. Major points deducted for the amount of polish on my fingertips, under my nails.
Needless to say, I will not be coming again.
