History
Established in 1983.
I am a third generation California building contractor, as were my father and grandfather. I have been in this business my entire life, and absolutely love what I do. After graduating from Cal State Hayward, II started out working with my father, doing residential insurance repair work. This experience enhanced my knowledge of all types of residential construction (very old historic to brand new contemporary). During this 15 year period, most all of our work performed was to match existing construction, both structural and finish.
This background experience has greatly contributed to what I currently do with my own company, R.C. Allen Construction, Inc., which primarily focuses on residential remodeling, restoration, and repair.

Robert A.
Business Owner
Robert («RC») graduated from Cal State Hayward in 1967 with a B.S. degree, majoring in botany with a chemistry minor. He obatined a B1 general contractor and C-27 landscape contractor’s license in 1983, which are still active and in good standing. He also achieved EPA (Lead-Safe) certification in 2010.
RC resides in Oakland with his wife and beloved canine, in a home which he lovingly restored and added a second floor addition to in 2002-03. When not working, RC’s favorite pastimes are raising orchids and playing golf.
RC is also a Dale Carnegie graduate. Additionally, he previously served as Cubmaster for 3 years with Pack 5 Scouts in Piedmont.
